If I could leave a negative rating or zero stars, I would. I was admitted to the hospital because of a potential appendectomy. The antibiotics provided reduced the swelling in my appendix, which resulted in NO SURGERY needed. Great! Except, they kept me overnight in the hospital for 2 nights and 2 days for no reason. When the surgeon finally saw me (2 DAYS AFTER I WAS ADMITTED), he said I could have left a day before. The worst part is that they charged me $46,000 for two nights and no surgery. This is ridiculous. I tried calling the Business Office and the rep was completely useless, she didn't even know how to properly defend the charges I was disputing. They said the cost to stay at the hospital was $11k/night. They will redirect you to different departments to avoid answering questions. If you were considering Coral Gables Hospital, do not waste your time and money. Go elsewhere immediately!

Ya'll wack, whatever they tell you about it being a "nice environment", they lying to you, all they want is your insurance money, how pathetic. I went there once, they won't take care of you at all, there was an elderly women who was crying and these so called nurses, told her to shup up very rudely. and you call yourselves " a hero ". You can come at me if it so pleases you " the fans of this pathetic establishment you call coral gables hospital " it funny how you think writing a good review will make others think you're a good hospital. now I hope some nurses have a kind heart in this terrible place, ya'll could of went to a better hospital, place must be haunted. also they take a year to reach your room, the doctor takes another whole year to even reach you too. The haters will hate me, and possibly try to break me, haha but.. you can't break what's already broken.

I had the worst experience in this place. I went to the Emergency Room last night, excruciating stomach pain that I couldn't even breath. After the protocol of giving the ID and Insurance card a nurse come and takes me to a room, that had garbage on the floor from the last patient and tells me "no worries, the bed is clean". Second, she starts taking my pressure and she leaves not even waiting for the pressure's values. Then I see how a group of nurses including mine go towards the hallway just to chat and talk while I was unattended. Then I see that same person that started to take my pressure leaving saying good night to everyone and no other nurse coming to assist me. I couldn't hold the pain anymore and ask my mother to take me to another hospital. Thanks God the other nearby hospital took excellent care of me. To finish the story, I called today to explain what happened and make sure NO CHARGES get billed as no proper medical care was given, and the lady that took my call tells me I have to wait for a two weeks investigation as they need to make sure what happened... I can't believe it! No body likes to be in pain touring ER just for fun. Please be safe and do not go to this Hospital.

One of the filthiest rooms I have ever been in especially a hospital room. Person has surgery, going into recovery and this is what they have to stay in. Ridiculous. Service from nurses was average and the therapists were great. And social workers as well.

My mother went in for surgery and the OR team left her unattended while she almost suffocated on her secretions. The nurses on the floor were better, but I would never trust this hospital to do your surgery, The poor woman is now traumatized as she thought she was going to die, she could not move because she still had the anesthesia in her, only when it started to wear off she was able to shake her head to indicate something was wrong, with a tube in her throat she could not speak. Very frightening to hear this happening to your family, don’t use this hospital if you can avoid them, they need to be shut down! Also if you do not speak Spanish you may not be able to communicate well with the staff.

My mom has been in this hospital 2 days, waiting. She came in with a broken wrist. We were told she needed surgery and had to be admitted for fast processing because seeing her as outpatient would take days. 2 days later we are told she may not need a surgery but nobody makes actual decision. One doctor says we are waiting for another. The doctors don’t talk to the family and the family cannot be present at the time the doctor comes just once a day. Right now considering the huge risk of taking my mom out of here and to another hospital. The risk may be worth it. Avoid this hospital. Avoid it! DO NOT get admitted here at the very least.

If you love your family DO NOT take them to this hospital. Extremely unprofessional. When you call to get an update on your family member, they will give you attitude and LIE! My grandmother was admitted and they never gave her a reason or a diagnosis. The second day after being admitted, it was 3 pm and no nurse showed up to check on she is doing or provide any kind of information. At night it is like a chicken coop, extremely loud from gossiping and talking, without any care for trying to give the patients peace or rest. They do not listen to the patients concerns. You literally have to call every hour and remind them to do their job. All they care about is keeping you there to charge more money to the insurance. We had to transfer our grandmother to a different hospital because the level of care was just ridiculous. Please give your staff some training on professionalism and bedside manners. If you truly care for your family please take them to a more professional place or request a transfer somewhere else.

I arrived at the hospital yesterday by rescue. Received immediate attention and communicate. To my surprise I was admitted and a room was available earlier than I assumed. I was informed someone upstairs will provide information. That was approximately 8:30 a.m. I heard from NO ONE thoroughly until AFTER 7pm. I was ignored. I have a roommate She and I are receiving poor services The restrooms in ER are worst than restrooms on Amtrak and buses

Do not go here! If there is less than one i should give them. I went to this emergency room last Sunday. I had a high fever, a cold, and a headache, and I was very weak. They put me in the hallway; the bed was broken; I can't even sleep; the doctor is the dummy person I ever see in my life; he is trying to yell and insult. They also took urine, and when we asked for the result, they said they didn't check because they didn't need to. My only suggestion is don't go this hospital. I went to a different emergency room the next day; they tried all the necessary tests, and they gave me different antibiotics for my problem.

My mom was in room #301 for three days, and she received the best care possible. The nurses: Mayra Young, Lianet Hernandez, and Grisell Perez were very attentive. They addressed all our concerns and answered all our questions. Overall, the service provided by all the nurses and technicians was excellent. Room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and modern. There's a small sofa bed in the room, in case someone wants to sleep over, as well as a comfortable chair. TV and everything else worked as intended. Most of all, I was impressed with the care and attention received from the four doctors assigned to her. Dr. Lago, gastrointerologist Dr. Ahumada, general surgeon Dr. Lora, cardiologist Dr. Garcia-Frangie, attending provider I was there with my mom every day and it was comforting to see the doctors check in on her every day. They were accessible, caring, inquisitive, reassuring and addressed all my concerns. Their level of humanity and professionalism was exemplary. Overall, my experience with Coral Gables Hospital met all my expectations. I highly recommend this hospital for all your healthcare needs.

I came here yesterday because I was having symptoms of the Covid-19.The personell was rude. They told me that unless I had problems breeding and chest pain they would not do the test to me because the resources they have are for people who actually need it.I am glad that I left and went straigth to Hialiah Hospital where they do tested me and take care of me.Today I am under quarantine and treatment.Don't come to this hospital they literally will let you die.

Er Doctor when I went was a gem. The two main nurses were the most unprofessional and rude nurses I ever encountered. No bedside manner at all. Granted I should not of been there but horrible experience. I am filling against the two nurses.

I got checked in smoothly early in the morning. The preop preparation was thorough and I had constant supervision by very nice nursing staff. When I woke up in recovery, I was introduced to the the nursing staff on the third floor. I had an overnight stay which was constantly available and very proactive in terms of my postoperative care. The entire staff was pleasant and I had A very good experience. The staff was especially accommodating about my discharge and Raphael‘s team was exceptional in helping me transition out of the hospital back to my home. Thanks much!!!

I came to this hospital as it was the closest to my home and where the ambulance brought me. From day one I had a nurse's aide named Joseph on the 2nd floor that was extremely rude I couldn't walk and he told me that was not his problem I'd have to find a way to go to bathroom. I requested he not come back to my room. Someone forgot to enter me in the system for dietary so I didn't get dinner or breakfast. After they finally fixed that error a nurse put my IV in wrong and my arm swelled and blistered. I spoke to the nurse director who assured me I would not go through any of this anymore, needless to say it did not end there I had a nurse named Vianka that was also very rude and when I advised her that was what the doctor stated he wanted me to do she said the doctor doesn't know what he's doing these people and instances give this hospital a very bad reputation.

Went to the ER 6/14/23 for low hemoglobin of 6 after surgery. Couldn’t walk, stand and barely able to talk. I was bleeding to death. They tried to send me home but I refused to leave. They waited a whole day for my 1st blood transfusion then another day for the 2nd even tho they said themselves I was very critical and wouldn’t make it. They only served rice and dry chewy chicken for lunch and dinner, (left over from lunch) when I told them I’m allergic to eggs their solution was not to serve me breakfast at all. The nurses are rude, don’t speak English. I laid in my urine soaked bed bc they wouldn’t empty my urine canister, (they told my husband to change it) call buttons on beds don’t work, no type of monitors to watch pt’s vitals and wouldn’t give me anything for pain other then 2 Tylenol (I never take medication, but needed something at this time) when I tried to get transferred they told me I have 15 mins after signing a release form to get out. Family members had to stay with me to change me and feed me. Please don’t send anyone to this dirty, rudely staffed and lazy RN’s of a so called hospital!

My mother was hospitalized on 9/16/23 in room 413B, every nurse, assistant Nurse, technician and personnel had been fantastic! Specially today we had a PCT Grisel Perez who took care of mom like she was her own family. I’m very impressed in the care, and compassion provided by her and the staff. Your hospital personnel and services are awesome!

The experience my family has had with therapy following my grandfather entering the hospital due to a broken hip has been top of the line quality care. The professionalism of the rehab team (especially Monica OT) the patience, the compassion, has moved us. We are forever grateful for the patience you demonstrated when conducting therapy with my grandfather. He is so much better. You made sure he was safe, you educated us, and it was all done with love. God bless this rehab team.

Came here to show my insurance card to help with my bill. The older woman kept asking if I needed to see a doctor no matter how many times I said I was there about my bill. She acted like she was deaf like I am while pointing hard at me or my insurance card. I didn’t understand. She didn’t want to help me. Then she took care of the two women that came after me. I was in shock at her audacity. I showed her my cochlear implants to her to emphasize that I am Hearing Impaired with them on. She quickly turned away and got on the phone to contact a nurse. Then I barely hear her tell me to go sit down. A nurse comes up to tell me to calm down and to wait til she is done with the women who came after me. They had to enter some Information on the Computer. I felt so discriminated by her. She had no empathy whats so ever. Pointing hard at me and putting other people in front of me was not cool. I will just have to get my insurance to contact you to pay the bill and never come back again. $500 bill for giving me over the counter allergy medicine for my severe allergy attack I had in March. It didn’t work. Should’ve gone to Urgent Care cuz they know to give me a higher allergy medicine dose that’s a non narcotic prescription. You have a big sign talking about Heroes, well maybe you need a real hero as your secretary who has compassion. Today is May 10th at 9:30am. As a person who is Legally Deaf without my cochlear implants, I deal with a lot of discrimination for my disability and hoped this place would not employ people who disregard disabilities like I am an annoyance like shooing a fly away.

We did not have a good experience with the outpatient today. We were asked to be there at 6 am, we arrived at 5.30 am. The general surgeon never communicated with me or my dad afterthe procedure, or the nurse. My mom was the one who called me to let me knowshe was going home, the medicalstaff never gave us any kind of notificationof her well-being. She was taken for the procedure a little after 11.00 am. She was waiting on a bed in the hallway for hours. My mom had a technician who took her in for some type of guided mammogram who was not pleasant or attentive at all. My mom is a high risk patient and struggles a little more at this type of scenario more than other patients. She received no extra care or attention . We would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Do not take your family to this hospital. I took my wife sunday because she has stones in her gal bladder and kidney and they were supposedly going to operate her. 3 days later they still havnt done anything or even done any xrays because they claim that their xray machine is broken and without it they cannot operate her. I called to complain and to tell them that i am picking her up to take to another hospital, all of a sudden there is a doctor to help her and the xray machine is fixed. They are lying and only trying to get money. Worst hospital of life.

If we could rate this hospital zero stars we would do it. Painful experience. Our grandma was admitted and stayed there for a week. We decided to bring her home because of the lack of communication and lack of care from the hospital staff. After we brought her home, she was with us only five days and passed away. I called the hospital to see where I should go to pick up her belongings because of their sentimental value and was told there was nothing there. Stay away from this hospital. Do not take your loved ones there.

(Translated by Google) Unpleasant experience that we had in this hospital, I would like to share with you the very unpleasant experience that my mother suffered in this place. Unfortunately I had to take my 86-year-old mother to the emergency room of this dismal hospital and from that moment on she began a cataract of mistreatment and indolences of all kinds, I tell you she was diagnosed with a clot in the lung and was given an anticoagulant which caused rectal bleeding continued to the point that a nurse gave her a control and told her when you call # 2 and we came, she got tired of calling and they did not come to assist her, we know the security measures that have been implemented in all hospitals to prevent the spread of COVID, so companions are not allowed, that is why we maintained constant communication with her and watched every minute of everything that was happening at every moment, we had to communicate directly with the nurse so that she could assist my mother for another part of the food was taken COLD so he could barely eat on one occasion a colonoscopy was scheduled that day the they had the whole day without feeding him then at approximately 5 in the afternoon they postponed it for the next day at 12 pm and they did it at 5 in the afternoon A diabetic patient without eating anything for two days because after that test the Nurse told her now I'll bring your food and she never took anything we had to call and the nurse brought her something at 9 o'clock at night During my mother's stay in that inhospitable place, my mother got worse, we had to take her out under our responsibility and although she continues After being admitted to another hospital, her health has improved considerably today we thank God for having illuminated the way and letting us know that if our mother had remained in that gloomy hospital, perhaps today we would not have her presence 😭😭😭 (Original) Desagradable experiencia la que pasamos en este hospital, quisiera compartir con ustedesl la muy desagradable experiencia quĂ© sufriĂł mi mamĂĄ en este lugar. Her name is Jenny Arboleda, she was admitted for an infection in the kidneys, for a Probe that the poor thing has it, about two months ago. They decided to put that probe since he has had an Escara for more than 6 months and it is not cured, what a shame with so many resources and nothing that heals him, When he entered this hospital two weeks ago, they performed a COVID test and gave Negative Well, yesterday when we called, we already asked a COVID test had come out positive, no one could explain to us how she got infected, so a supervisor named Karen told us, but for us her family we have it clear, some employee has it. I hit, because there is no other explanation. The other odyssey that we are going through is that since he is in that Hospital we have tried to speak with his doctor, Dr Miller, but apparently he has no interest in answering. Already on Monday, October 19, we will try to speak with the Administration of that Hospital, it is a pity that this is happening. The staff here make sure to make it. Pleasant experience (as pleasant as it can be). The therapy department does an amazing job. The staff that worked with me was very welcoming and educating. Monica and Michelle are amazing. As well as Piedad at the front desk, who was so helpful with anything that had to do with my insurance.

I recently had bilateral hip replacement surgery. Upon arrival at the program my therapists Alexis and Ariel had made me feel at home. They have developed a program that is personalized and has help me in the process of healing. The place is small, clean and targets the patients as individuals. Highly recommend the program to anyone needing rehab. Therapists are professional and with many years of experience and treat patients with respect and kindness.

My mother has been residing in an ALF/Memory Care Facility since June of this year. Just this month she had to be admitted to the hospital. Although, my siblings and I did not want her to be transported to this hospital because of the negative things we had heard about it, we ended up allowing them to do so. I want to say that the treatment my mother received could not have been any better. When I arrived the first day, it was lunch time and to my amazement, there was Ms Hamdia, (nursing assistant) standing by my mom’s bedside feeding her!! It brought tears to my eyes. Because my mother cannot communicate well due to her Dementia/Alzheimer’s we were extremely worried that she would not be helped. We were so wrong. Later, I had the pleasure of meeting Nurse Donis! He was cheerful and caring and treated my mom with “true care.” I wish I could remember the names of all the others that treated my mom with such respect & care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For treating my mother with the care and respect she deserved. God bless each one of you. You are truly appreciate. Shout out to Nurse Donis & Ms Hamdia.

The hospital itself isn’t much if I’m being 100% honest. But the staff is amazing. Constant and thoughtful care was displayed throughout my grandpas stay. The team on the 3rd floor is excellent. I would like to individually thank Mayra Young from the third floor. She went over and beyond for my grandpa and was very attentive to all her patients and their visitors.

The nurses here are mostly older people. They get tired a lot sooner and have little patients. They just want to get through all their patients so they can have their alone time. They don't treat the patients like individual people but more as like animals. The nurses do not log everything about the patient as they should be doing. Very corrupt hospital. (DO NOT GO HERE)!

I came in with a lot of abdominal pain on Tuesday October 10.2023 mid afternoon and by 6:30 I was admitted with Gallbladder stones. I am being prepped for surgery on Friday. This is my second visit to this hospital and I don’t think another hospital would have treated me any kinder or better care. This hospital goes under the radar. Dr Rodriguez along with Alexi and James. My very caring nursing staff at room 311 Rodolfo, Juliette, Clara, Grisel ,Nurse Director Rafael and there were a couple more but they were on shift during my stay but their names escape.

I just had a Hernia Surgery on 1/24/2024 at Coral Gables hospital. I was running late to my appointment and spoke to Mayra at the front desk and she was very accommodating. Everyone was very helpful and polite since I first got there, from the front desk, to the team that started prepping me and taking my information and storing my belongings. After surgery I needed to stay over night at the hospital so I was brought to a room that was clean and comfortable. Then I was met by so many people that attended me, I wish I remembered all their names. Daniela and Pedro were two of the RNs that looked out for me. Grisell a PCT was great, she also rolled me out on a wheel chair to my transport when I was leaving and helped with my belongings. The team that took my vitals, and blood for labs, and even the lady that brought me my meals were all great and friendly. Dinner was even better and more than what I expected, and I tend to eat allot! I’m glad I had a good experience since going for surgery is not exactly on my list of fun things to do, but they made me fell comfortable and taken care of.

I went to the ER here earlier this week and was later admitted. It was the absolute worst patient care I’ve ever had in my entire life & I’ve had my fair share of hospital experiences for autoimmune reasons. The nurses were very rude and the lack of communication was appalling. I had no idea why I was admitted, and no idea what any of my lab/test results were. I didn’t speak to a single doctor after being admitted. The rooms were gross.

If I got hit by a car in the parking lot of this hospital, I would ask to go to a different hospital. I don’t speak Spanish, but my nurses didn’t speak any English. I started bleeding out and pressed the button for help and nobody came. I was never informed who my doctor or nurses were, I also didn’t get an answer why I was in the Er overnight in the first place. I didn’t see a doctor until 27 hours after I showed up. This is a very deceptive and horrible place. Staff was basically incapable of doing their job and I think it was all just to slap me with a bill. Next time, I’ll just die instead of going to this hospital.

Awful hospital don’t take older people here! Look at Yelp reviews. These nurses are rude unprofessional disrespectful. My grandma died at this hospital and I am sure it was because they over medicated her so she didn’t bother them overnight. If she would not have been 92 years old I would have litigated this but making lawyers a lot of money in a hard to defend case won’t bring my grandma back; however, these nurses might get away with murder here but they will get their judgment day with God! đŸ€đŸ™đŸŒ

My mother had surgery at Coral Gables Hospital on 10/10/23. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed which was an amazing feeling being that she was nervous. The pre-op nurse and anesthesia team was FABULOUS! They all took great care of her. While I waited for her , the nurse was in constant contact with me. The nurse manager Mayra, showed me the room where my mother would spend the next couple of days and even offer me to wait for her in the room. What comfort to know, she took the time to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Juliette, Pedro (both nurses) and Grisell (pct) gave her spectacular attention and care. This is one hospital in Miami that needs some major improvements. (1) There is absolutely no privacy in the ER. (2) No one in the ER, including the doctor, knew how to put a needle in my port so I could receive the meds, give blood. Etc. It took me going to ICU in order to have it done. (3) Several of the nurses literally didn't speak, nor understand, English. I had a very hard time communicating with them since I don't know Spanish. I'm not sure how they got hired here in the USA not knowing the English language. (4) I only saw my attending physician 1 time in over a week. (5) I started coughing up blood during my stay here but nothing was done about it. (6) It took the staff an extremely long time to respond when I push the call button. Most times answered by someone who only understood Spanish. (7) The TV only received 5 channels. (8) The food service is decent here but they only served Spanish dishes. What about American patients who don't like Spanish food?

My mom had her right knee replacement surgery on Monday 10/30. From the moment we arrived the service was great. The night security guard helped us by pushing her in a wheelchair to the correct floor and taking her to the location she needed to be at. The surgery nurses were very comforting and reassuring. The anesthesia nurse and doctor were gentle with her. The surgeon Dr. Saenz was informative and very human. Then she was transferred to her room for the next couple of days were she received exceptional care from everyone. I would like to recognize her nurse team on the floor: Pedro, Rosemery, Liani, Mayra. The PCT Grisel. The amazing registration guru Jaime. Her wonderful case manager Jorge. The great rehab team of ladies Lian, Audrey and Michelle (these ladies went beyond their scope). The food service staff and let’s not forget housekeeping. Thank you all for taking great care of my mother during this time. She felt right at home. I hope I didn’t miss anyone but if I did I apologize. You all were very caring. Quick side note please get better chairs for those of us that stay in the room with our family members. My back is killing me from sleeping in a board. Room 301.

I would recommend for anyone in South Florida to visit this hospital if your in need of care regarding your health. My husband has experienced care at this hospital twice and they gave him the best care and diagnosed his issues and gave him the best care. I was not feeling welling well on Xmas day and he brought me to them and they saved my life performed a emergency surgery and took care of me and I am so thankful. I will forever be grateful for all of the staff that took care of me. I wish them all many blessings in 2024.

I was hospitalized in this hospital for one night and I have the opinion that all the care provided has been of excellence in every way. Especially to Miss Nurse Mayra for giving me a very pleasant and professional farewell. I recommend this hospital to anyone who needs it, as they will surely be well cared for by the medical staff that resides there.

😠 This hospital is typically a very good hospital. Good doctors excellent nurses and staff. However today I had the strangest experience maybe it’s because it’s Halloween, I’m not sure. The nurse comes into my room and asked me why my bed is so high, I advise the nurse that’s the way I like it because...
