This hospital is typically a very good hospital. Good doctors excellent nurses and staff. However today I had the strangest experience maybe it’s because it’s Halloween, I’m not sure. The nurse comes into my room and asked me why my bed is so high, I advise the nurse that’s the way I like it because I’m 6 feet 1 and I will sign a waiver. On previous admissions that has been the typical procedure without any issues. The nurse walks out comes back into my room with the charge nurse and hospital security, I asked is there a reason why security was present, security was extremely disrespectful uninformed and rude. The nurse proceeded to speak to security about me not taking medication and what I was in the hospital for, total violation of HIPAA. I asked security to leave which they did; however, shortly after they came back in and told me that if I’m recording even in my own room they were going to call law-enforcement. They actually called law-enforcement law-enforcement came and advised that this was not a law-enforcement matter and they just didn’t want things to escalate. I explain to them that I agree this is not a law-enforcement matter and things definitely would not escalate on my part as I’ve been in the hospital before without any issues. This incident this morning is totally unacceptable under any circumstance and should never be tolerated when someone is seeking medical treatment in any facility in this country, I have notified the media about this extremely unfortunate chain of events.

Unfortunately, I got very sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. Since I have records at Baptist Hospital, we decided to go here, which was the closest location from downtown Miami (about 30 minutes). I was admitted and stayed for almost 3 days in February 2022. The emergency room staff was fast and helpful. The nurses were friendly and sympathetic. They explained everything to me and tried their best to keep me calm. Once in a room at the hospital, I was assigned to different doctors and nurses. This part was not so good. The nurses were not as attentive, and I felt a bit lost and forgotten. The main doctor on duty and assigned to me appeared exhausted, which worried me. I didn't see him much at all - maybe twice - and each time only for about 5 minutes. Fortunately, there was a doctor specialized in infectious diseases who was always very attentive to my health, progress, and diagnosis. The surgery department was also excellent. They came to see me every morning and attended to my wound. Surgery staff was attentive and professional. In general, I have mixed feelings about this hospital. Some doctors were great while others not so much. Nurses the same thing. One thing that was always good was the food. To my surprise, the food was excellent. Definitely not the typical hospital food. Delicious food served hot. They always gave me hot coffee with every meal. Big plus. The hospital was clean and my room was swept everyday. However, they never changed my bed sheets or hospital gown. I stayed with the same gown from the ER for 2 days. I had to ask for a clean one once I felt better. The sheets got dirty but they were never changed even after I suggested it to one of the nurses. The nurses on my floor were not on top of things, and they didn't have a warm personality. My husband told me it was difficult to get parking since the garage is small and busy. The experience was not the best, but I am thankful that they took care of me and I got better to go home.

My grandmother tested positive for COVID19 at 104 years of age. Thanks to the amazing team in doctor hospital she came home with us today and is a COVID survivor. The whole team without exception of anybody are extremely caring and nice. They make you feel hopeful and part of the "family". words can not describe how grateful we are and how happy we are to have my grandmother back home.

Best hospital my wife Diane Posey has ever been in, very friendly and professional . she even wanted to bring the discharge nurse, Jessica back to the Keys with us.

Never thought I’d say this about a hospital but I love this place. The level of professionalism is something I’ve never seen in Miami. The staff is courteous, the place is impeccable. I’ve never had to wait more than 30 minutes at the lobby. Once the nurses take you they draw appropriate blood work usually. They’re patient, not moody, not in a rush. They also make you feel at ease. Once inside in the emergency room my experiences have been as pleasant as they can be when you’re ill. They take their time to listen to you and treat you appropriately. Their bedside manner is their greatest asset. Not that I wish to be back in a hospital but this is the place to be. I’ve been to several in Miami and this is the only place that gets a 5 star from me. The stations are clean, and they will not rush you out until you’re feeling well and with proper instructions.

I've worked in many hospitals-- unfortunately have have been a patient in several as well. Surgery with Dr. Sangiovanni at Doctors hospital was the best healthcare experience. Excellent care from arrival to end. Absolutely impressive

I was lucky to have had my knee surgery at Doctors in May 27 2020. Their doctors, staff and leadership at the helm of the Hospital is the best. We are lucky to have such a great facility in the heart of Coral Gables and the South Miami área. I have been going there for years and each year it’s a better hospital.

My mom fell and broke her shoulder. We went to our closest ER (Jackson) they told her to go back home and gave her meds. He shoulder was completely shattered and my mom was in agony. We went to Doctors Hospital and the quality of care was second to none. 5 stars. Treated like a human being. With care and respect. They did emergency surgery immediately . They really know to take care of people.

Doctors Hospital located in the heart of the University of Miami it has been a wonderful place for the past three years. I've been going to visit my doctor; Dr. Penalvert in the third floor and the service at this place it's phenomenal. A friend of mine had recommend me to his hospital and now I understand why they talk so well about it. First off they offer complimentary valet parking for their guests and this is not just any complimentary valet parking but also they give you their smile ( and those are important to me ) and they try to help you as much as they can, remember that you have people here coming sick or living out of a surgery or something like that so they're very nice. As soon as you get into the lobby you are a greeted from a person in the front desk where they ask you for your information and give you a visitor pass which I found a very secure. There's also a gift store and a bakery and they offer a wonderful coffee, pastries and juices. This place is always neat.

Finally a staff that has it together. From the doctor to the nurse to the transport to the security. Everyone was courteous n helpful.

My mother was treated here for a dislocated shoulder. They were quick to attend to my mother and made sure her pain was treated. The staff were so kind and respectful and they made sure we were aware of what was going on and made sure to comfort my mother. This hospital is a hidden gem. Surely I will come here for any emergency. So grateful they took such great care of my mother.

Watch out! Even if this hospital is in network for your health insurance plan, be very prepared to have services performed from out of network people who will be bill you constantly and keep sending you collection notices. They are difficult to deal with and real nasty. How can this be legal? How can an in network facility can just decide to have an out of network doctor/service provide services for you without any of your knowledge or permission is ridiculous. If you are in network, you should be in network, period! This type of thing should be outlawed. You want to have respect for medical providers but when they overcharge and pull this kind of stuff you feel like you're getting robbed.

If you are on your way here, beg the ems to take you to any hospital ER than here. The billing staff sends your case to a "collection agency" immediately after seeing you. These goons are only responsible for shaking you down for as much money as possible.

My mom was admitted to Doctor's Hospital on April 5th due to a fall that resulted in a fractured pelvis. My family and I were very pleased with the treatment that my mother received by the nurses and doctors on 2 South. We visited daily while mom was at the hospital and I found the entire staff and everyone I dealt with very courteous and always gave my mom excellent care and that was very important to us as a family. Thank you to all of 2 South for taking care of my mom, Ana Milan with so much attention for her well being. My family and I are grateful and thankful.

At first I did not want to be seen after I saw how dirty the emergency room was. My friend encouraged me to stay I was treated awesome they ran all types of test on me I ended up being admitted and the service was even better until my last day when the new nurses came on they were not as friendly as the nurses from the first 2 days. The service for a Covid Patient was good in ICU and SCU, but when it was transferred to a regular room. The patient was abandoned for hours. Skip meals, unable to go to the bathroom, etc. It is very cruel what we are doing to our Covid Patients. We need to reconsider the word Care. It is unacceptable.

Few times in my life have I had such a wonderful experience. The Surgeon is a genius. The anesthesiologist is fabulously able and incredibly intelligent. The OR staff are so amazingly capable, efficient and so well trained. The nursing staff are absolutely great, trained like champions and knowledgeable as can be. I was in the hospital at 5:30 am and got home at 1:00 pm with a new hip walking with a walker. Perfection to the max. 100% and then some. Thank you!!

I usually don't post reviews on Google, however til this day, I would never forget about my own experience at Doctor's Hospital--I wish I could. When I arrived to the ER, I had a ring stuck on my hand and sought to get it removed. I filed paperwork showed insurance, and luckily after hours they finally got it removed. Being a student in college and having the first time in the Emergency Room alone is already terrifying for just about anyone--however the ladies in the Emergency Room were very difficult. Not the desk lady, the Nurse who was "assisting" my procedure, she gaslit me into paying more then what my insurance covers, and screaming at me over the phone that I never gave insurance when it was confirmed I did. She claimed that because I left (when I was instructed to), I will fall into debt and now have to pay out of pocket for the entire procedure ($1,300) roughly. She tried to manipulate me into paying and when the proof was shown that my insurance was covering it, she tried to spin on me and tell me that it was someone else who told her to tell me. As a young woman especially in a medical environment, I especially didn't feel safe. I have had problems since and refuse to go see a doctor just because of this experience til this day, not for treatment, but to avoid feeling unsafe and robbed (the incident happened September 2022). *Edit I also suddenly realized that they deleted a past review I left on their page. Thanks for that.

The registration employees were very nice and it went very smooth. In the Nuclear medicine Dept. excellent care. . The young man that did my procedure was very professional, you can tell he has a lot of experience in what he is doing. He was very caring, explained the procedure step by step. Everything went excellent. Thank you and for sure I will be there again.

The whole experience was exceptional and yes I'm talking about a hospital visit. From the gentleman who greeted me when I first arrived to the technicians who drew my blood, to the young lady that did my ultrasound, to the doctors and my nurse was the sweetest, informative patient and thoughtful nurse. Having a family member in a hospital is one of the worst feelings for anyone. However, if you feel that the medical staff, from the doctors, to the nurses, to the pharmacist genuinely care for their well being, for their health, and for the concerns that you as family might have, then it all gets just a little easier. I gotta say that in times when the medical field has been under the microscope, THE ENTIRE STAFF OF THIS HOSPITAL IS PROOF THAT THERE'S STILL PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY DO LOVE THEIR PROFESSIONS AND ACTUALLY DO CARE FOR PATIENTS. Both technicians were amazing. They were very professional with me, and I felt comfortable throughout both the Echo Test and Carotid Test. Both women were kind. I highly recommend them.

Had a total left hip replacement performed by Dr. Van Der Ven and his absolutely amazing team. We were attended on time by very attentive, helpful, friendly, and upbeat staff (at 5:30 in the morning). Their team is comprised of first rate professionals - they took their time to explain the procedure and recovery process, answer all my questions, and address my concerns. I arrived at the hospital at 5:30am and was on my way home the same day by 2:00. The team ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, recovery, and physical therapy before departing. Each and every person we encountered at the hospital, from the second we walked in the building to the second I was helped into my car to go home, was friendly and happy to assist in any way. My daughter received timely updates via phone calls and from the attendant in the waiting room throughout each step of the procedure. I've already scheduled the right hip replacement. Highly recommended! Thank you so much!

My experience was AMAZING. I was at Doctor’s Hospital for a 4 hour nuclear medicine gastric emptying study. I greeted by Maurice in radiology. He was friendly and made the eggs taste delicious. Gina Johnson was my designated nuclear medicine technician. She was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Gina even escorted me to my car after the procedure was completed. I recently had corrective foot surgery with Dr. Cary Chapman at Baptist Health Doctor’s Hospital and I can honestly say that this surgeon and his staff are absolutely phenomenal! Dr. Chapman is incredibly talented, extremely knowledgeable and has such a beautiful personality and bedside manner when speaking to his patients. The entire process was so pleasant, everyone went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and before I even realized it, my surgery was successfully completed and I was on my way home! Outstanding care. I am extremely happy about the quality of care I received from everyone at the hospital. All of the nurses were fantastic and compassionate. I can’t say enough about Dr. Suarez. He made it clear that surgery was a “last resort.” He made sure we tried everything before surgery, as opposed to other surgeons I had seen for same issue that wanted to cut right away. My aunt who is 89 arrived 10 days ago by ambulance, the assistance at Baptist was over and beyond expectations! My aunts case required a social worker because of her condition and I dealt with “Lilly (ICU Social Worker) and Nancy (3rd floor Social Worker)” words of appreciation doesn’t describe my gratitude to these 2 lady’s. My aunt is very difficult and was resisting the medical recommendations but everything was sorted and Nancy and the doctor handled everything with absolutely gentleness, kindness and firmness! Great experience. I can see it needs warm folks to make patients feel comfortable. … nice people to assist me. Although , it was never explained that it would take 2 hours in the machine to get imaging. I was sleepy and that gave me something to do. But it’s very important to let patients know ahead of time.

I went to Doctor's Hospital due to contracting covid, I was in excruciating pain!when I entered the ER it was pretty busy, I observed in 3D all the nurses helping all the patients, the work area was clean painting on was no dust not even in the corners! my 3D eyes scanned while the nurses moved quickly to make sure all patients was taking care of. Now let me give some Recognition: Doctor Hsu, Andy ,Tati, Jonathan, Jorge, Duxson, Anna, yoli, Rick and Dian. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH. I salute you all.

Had an MRE at this facility yesterday. Not a fun procedure, but the staff and technicians were extraordinary. Compassionate, patient, skilled and professional to the max with a little humor mixed in to lighten the mood. Baptist Health is doing something right across the board in terms of the hiring and training of their staff in each of their facilities in south Florida. Kudos to all!!

Every part of my experience with Baptist health was exceptional. every one from the overnight guard to the receptionists were professional and helpful, most important, to everyone on the Medical staff that took care of me of during my surgery was amazing, so many wonderful health care providers that went above and beyond to make feel comfortable and eased all my concerns before and after the my surgery. I can’t remember every name of every care provider that I interacted with during my procedure and they all deserve recognition for providing outstanding patient care. Lastly, Dr. Alexander Vanderven is an extremely a knowledgeable physician very professional and a very efficient surgeon. He took great care of me. I can’t say enough about the experience.

I had hip replacement (second hip). Using Dr’s hospital once again proved to have a wonderful group of professionals from the greeter (security) to the gentleman who wheeled me out to the car when leaving the next day. All the administrative and support staff, Dr’s and nurses were fantastic. Helpful, thoughtful and efficient. Every step of my experience exposed me to a clean, inviting environment. Each care giver gave information and time for questions, answer professionally with care. On a scale of one to ten they all deserve an 11!

Nice facilities, kind staffs, great experience at ER. But I give one because of the operator that I called for my medical records. I needed a medical record for CT in electronic form and called the operator to inquire how to obtain the information. I wasn't sure about the process in the States since the law in my home country does not allow to obtain any medical information without visiting the hospital. So I called for an inquiry, and I did not fully understand what she was explaining since I am not a native English speaker. She was explaining that I need to submit the written record either via email or fax, but I wanted to ask detailed process to reach the form. While I was still talking to ask for further information, she just hung up the phone. Without explaining any further process or even saying "bye bye." I know this might be a very small thing, but she offended me hugely because most of operators I have contacted while staying in the States were very nice, and they explained every detailed process even small links on the website. And I felt unwelcoming from her as a patient and a foreigner. I will probably still visit doctor's hospital because it is the closest hospital from UM campus, but I would never want to call this operator again.

I was there with my mom for 24 days and everyone was amazing but I can't give that 5th star because of nurse Kevin in the ICU and charge nurse lispett showing up to my mom's room with security because some sitter say lies about me. I had been there for 2 weeks with my mom and the sitter got mad because I told her we don't need her because I'm back from work n I'm staying with ma like I always do. Other than that everybody I met there are great at what they do and I highly recommend doctors hospital.

From the moment I drove in to the Emergency area we were greeted with kindness & concern from the Security to the intake and triage. The staff of techs & nurses both were knowledgeable and kind. What reflected in their attitudes was respect for each other and concern for their patients, they were proud to work at Drs. and it showed! Wonderful facility, caring staff... I wasn't there for the best reason... but it was the best place to be.

My Mother was admitted yesterday at Doctors Hospital, best hospital, right away they did all the tests and in less than an hour we have all the results, and immediately she was put in a private room. The doctors and the nurses are very professional and patient, and when you call a nurse station for help they responded immediately. The diet food excellent. In my opinion, I recommended this hospital.

I am currently at Doctor's Hospital and have been for the past four. Pretty much from the beginning it was a difficult start. My surgeon SanGiovanni was awesome just extremely behind time wise. However once I was i moved to my room that's when the Fun began. The nurses were rude beyond words. I i think in a my 26 prior surgeries I have dealt with such horrible bedside manner, lack of compassion, lack of knowledge and just straight disappearing or never checking in. I tried ringing buzzer and she was suppose to get someone, but never did. Finally I attempted to get out of bed because I knew it would sound alarm. This still happened another couple times after. Well then dilemma was me telling numerous people from the beginning that before my surgery I had a splinter, and even after trip to ER and antibiotics I think it's still there. Days later little build up or pus and X-ray....sure enough. Now my surgery is done who knows still here waiting. The food is terrible we well. According to Sharon the nurse on this Sunday shift , she doesn't have to give you medications that are prescribed to you, even ones from home. I tried to explain my condition and why things were so bad. She ignored me and walked out. It's sad because SanGiovanni is one of the best Of the best in country. The staff should represent him and be a reflection or that.

Mi esposa fue ingresada y operada el 10/21/20 ,las atenciones fueron excelentes , la cirugía fue perfecta como me lo expresó el doctor Jordan,nos dijeron el viernes por la noche que podía regresar a la casa, hasta ese momento todo funcionaba muy bien. Para sorpresa de nosotros lnos dijeron que las recetas de los medicamentos y las órdenes hacia la farmacia no estaban, y hoy sábado alas 12.07 de la tarde todavía estamos esperando porque se resuelva un problema burocrático sencillo que empaña todo un trabajo fabuloso que hizo un equipo formidable, espero que sirva de experiencias muchas gracias.

I just had hip replacement surgery in Doctor’s Hospital. From the time and walked in to the time I left the hospital all the staff beginning from the guard, the registration clerk, the nurses etc there were superb. The hospital was immaculate and the outpatient rooms were comfortable and clean. I felt at ease and cared all the time. Dr Juan Carlos Suárez it’s outstanding Very caring and has great bedside manners. Also the anesthesiologist can’t remember her name was great too !!! Thank you !!!

Best service from the time I dropped my husband off to the time I had to pick up my mother. Let’s start by saying, I’m drug free and don’t like to do Western meds or doctors. I panicked Sunday night when my husband said, take me to urgent care. He couldn’t breathe. We tried 2 urgent cares that showed up on my map, menear to me and open. They were both closed. Now I’m panicking thinking I’m going to start crying. My sister passed away /11/19/21 and I’m driving my husband to ER. Thank God for rude people. The security at doctor hospital snapped me back from a nervous breakdown to B with my crown 👑 that was slipping off. I sat outside and just watched by the window. Three hours later he was positive but heading home. One day later, Monday morning, he was recovering. All the staff was so nice and accommodating. Tuesday, 1130 am my 81 yr mom calls me from her doctor’s office to ask me to pick her up that she needs an emergency CT and MRI scan. I pick her up and rush her to Doctors Hospital. Results, nothing, she was just fine. Dr Abella and his staff were top of the line! She stayed overnight and today, Wednesday, I picked her up and took her home just fine. The only one things was her sneakers. She’s been wearing my sisters sneakers. The hospital could not find them and send her home with socks. I called asking about her sneakers and explained to them that in other circumstances I would not care but these sneakers belonged to my sister that passed away Nov 19,2021. Odalys from customer affairs took my number and assured me she will look for them. Not even 10 later She called me to very what type they were and said she had them. Now I’m on my way like a crazy person crying 😭 for sneakers! Thank god for rude people again. Same security guard came out to the ER entrance and was rude to this crazy lady again. I fixed my crown and was able to thank Odaly without breaking down. Thank you Odalys for your kindness and knowing my mother would miss these sneakers 👟 like another part of Vicky . #prayforvicky

Slipped and twisted my knee on wet sidewalk. Checked in to ED 10:15 am. After great care, no broken bones, I was released at approx 12:30pm. After several back and forth calls to ED, CVS, the prescriptions were sent 5 minutes before CVS closed. Impossible for me. Next day cvs opened at 10AM. Again I called the ED and was told “just wait 10 minutes you can get your pain meds “ I’ve waited 24 hours, and didn’t appreciate being treated like a drug seeker. I had enough injury to be issued a walker. For 20 hours no one at Baptist cared. Compassion was missing.

Terrible waiting time being 5 months pregnant, staff has been so unprofessional, no one has walked in this room once to know how I am, the doctor has not walked in my room once and it’s been 2hrs wait I have extreme congestion I can nearly breath , I don’t feel like a patient I feel like a dog ! It’s sad to see these things , being an ICU RN myself ! Very unprofessional!

Black patients matter too. The experience was awful. The first group of so-called nurses were lazy and ignored the sick, black people in the ER. Then, the shift changed and Drucilla The Witch named Laurie came on. This nurse was hateful and clearly disliked her job and had no interest in the patients - and especially helping black patients. She was more of a jail warden than a nurse. Overall, this was a terrible experience and a rude awakening to the poor quality of nursing offered at Doctor’s Hospital. And a place that clearly prefers non-black patients.

I went to baptist health for treatment for my tremors..I was told i was told the procedure would take place in August..Now i am told it will be an additional 6 months...It is near impossible to have contact with anyone who was to be my contact person..Now i am having a hard time getting my medical records sent to my new doctor. .This is the worst hospital i have ever dealt with ..If you are seeking help with essential tremor go somewhere else.Charlene was to be my coordinator .Good luck having a return call from her. all i wanted a a date for the procedure..All i got was excuses.

Great food, caring nurses and all staff, from Doctors to cleaning staff are courteous and positive attitudes. Hospital and in ER are fabulous and very clean😇

This is a great hospital. Unfortunately our family has spent a lot of times in hospitals. This was our first experience at Doctors. Started with valet. Prompt, polite and professional. Check in was easy and quick. Registration was a breeze. Stopped at the restroom and janitor was cleaning it. She stopped her job to let me go in. Nurses, nurses assistants and surgeon was kind, caring professional and top notch. I would Highly recommend this hospital. I hope we don’t have to come back. But if we do… it won’t suck too bad!!

Doctors Hospital is a small unit within the Baptist system. My scheduled appointment went smoothly, on time, no long waits, friendly staff. They were concerned about my comfort. Answered all my questions & kept me informed throughout the whole process. May I suggest you use the complimentary valet parking, it takes away the stress of trying to find parking in a very restricted area. It is a comfortable place & I would not hesitate to use it again.

Service is great, very professional. My only complaint is that I had to provide a detail of all my medication ( which they already have in their computers since I have visit the facility several times recently) they could provide a print out of the medication on records in their computer for me to update, not have to renter everything one again ! I was told they did not have that capability. That can’t be the case because it’s in their computers! This need to be corrected! Other than that The service is great and everyone that worked with me were outstanding!

It was very good to take my surgery in this place. I was attended for an excellent professional team, nurses, assistants, anesthesiologist and the surgeon Leonardo J Henriquez MD. They made me feel very pleased. I felt very trusted in their hands. The Dr. repaired me inguinal and umbilical hernias in my body. I am very satisfied with the doctor’s work and his team.

Every hospital and orthopedic group staff at Doctor’s Hospital are outstanding. Very professional and personable at every step of the way. Had knee surgery and was feeling anxious on arrival, but everyone I encountered from valet to surgical staff made me feel at ease.

The technicians were all very caring, considerate, and helpful. The lady who did the ultrasound of my leg veins had an amazingly open & charismatic personality. I wish I could remember her name so I could leave her a specific great review.

Excellent customer service. The radiology tech accompanied my mom and I all the way to the main entrace because we were lost. That really came from her heart, not from her job duties. She treated us with respect and professionalism while performing the ultrasound. Very knowledgeable. She responded all our concerns. Thank you so much for your service. I will tell my doctor to refer all my following appointments at Doctor's hospital.

We had a really good experience with the imaging department at Doctors hospital. We had a difficult situation with the orders etc and Andrea really went out of her way to help us. It took a while, but once we got it taken care of my son and I both had a very pleasant experience. He was made to feel very comfortable as was I I feel Andrea and the technologist working with her were extremely capable, kind and warm. We would definitely go there again for necessary services. Thanks again for working so hard to take care of us.

I want to recognize a lady in your Valet parking area who is an excellent customer service individual....Natasha. This lady was attentive, kind, and very professional something you don't come across in the business world anymore. I couldn't believe the efficient and pleasant manner she treated everyone. I understand she works for the company that provides the valet parking at your main entrance. She must be recognized...Job Well Done...
