I've had some great times in Porthcawl Pavilion. From raves up on Saturday night's in my teens to Christmas Pantomime with our children then our grandchildren. Now it's mainly tribute bands , our last visit for Marti Pellow which was superb. Great cafe bar for a catch up with friends and when the sun shines sit outside and people watch on the Prom. Love Porthcawl.

Great little venue, and the staff are always polite and friendly. I would give it 5 stars, but they use plastic glasses and I don't like them. Parking is limited, but there is a car park about a 5 minute walk away.

I don't really do reviews but I feel it necessary to say how wonderful my experience of lunch was at the Grand pavilion today. The waiting staff were lovely and the food I enjoyed was chicken bacon avocado open sandwich could have been served in a top London restaurants. I am extremely proud as porthcawl resident to know our small town as attracted the calibre of the chefs in the pavilion .

This is a wonderful venue, I just hope the refurbishment doesn't take away from the atmosphere and acoustics. The 'cans' of wine were extortionate, and the queues in the interval were very long, as were the queues for the toilets, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

We went to the Pavilion at Porthcawl for lunch and there was a good selection to choose from. We both had the Welsh rarebit. It was well presented with a poached egg slightly roasted tomatoes on the vine and delicious side salad. Service was very good will go there again and try another dish from the menu 😋

Great little theater, nice and intimate venue, saw the Elvis at the movies show, the director chap loved himself a bit much but the show was good. The young elvis singer was amazing, he had the voice and the moves. Overall good venue with good facilities

Beautiful old theatre, watched a comical Sherlock Holmes play. Good selection of cold drinks but no hot drinks available in the evening despite there being a professional cafe set up with coffee machine?

Visited the Grand Pavilion Coffee/Restaurant what a lovely place this is. Friendly staff and very helpful. Good excellent The Pavilion itself is a lovely building and the shows there are great. Look at the listings there is bound to be something you would like to see whether Vocal acts, music, comedy and much more. Toilets are spotless and very accessible. I would recommend.

#porthcawlpanto We had a lovely evening here at the Aladin Panto. They were checking everyone's Covid passes and asking people to take LFT test if they didn't have a pass. The show was a fun and funny experience. The cast was great. The show was up to date and we felt sorry for them with their run being cut short again.

Went with my daughter and granddaughter to see Footloose. Performance was excellent and staff at the venue were both friendly and helpful without waiting to be asked. The toilets and foyer were clean and smelling fresh. There was a small shop selling items. I didn't use it but didn't hear any complaints. There is usually a good selection of performances offered with balcony seating and either caberet style with tables downstairs or rows of chairs. These are not tiered unfortunately and even with a raised stage it can often be a little difficult to see around the taller people in front. They also offer a restaurant and coffee shop that is open during the day too but I didn't use it during this visit. All in all a very good venue.

Great venue, the gallery gets very warm on a hot day. Excellent view from our seats. Shame the bar was closed at the end of a great show, 'Tamla motown magic'.

Lovely intimate venue even with back row seats in the balcony epic clear view of the stage. Why pay over the odds for the same show in a large arena with less.

Went to see Lost in Music the show was very good but the queuing for the bar was ridiculous, I missed the start of the show due to queing for over 40mins. I also missed the start of the second half due to queing. I understand stand there's obviously a staffing issues, but they should have opened earlier so everyone could have been served before the show started. I don't understand the bar closing at 10pm when the show didn't finish till after 10.30pm

Very popular venue for a variety of shows & performances. Good website, early ticket bookings are strongly advised for everything particularly pantomimes. Go along & enjoy.

Went there for a Pink Floyd tribute, staff were friendly and we enjoyed it apart from two things, firstly the seating arrangements mean that some people have their backs to the stage, also they only take card payments, I was one elderly lady having ordered her drinks have to leave them on the bar and walk away because they wouldn't take her money, it comes to something when the coin of the realm is no longer considered an acceptable form of currency.

We spend a lot of time here, as both our sons have been in various youth theatre and school shows. They have refurbished the cafe and now have a new bar, where the old box office was. When shows are taking place, there are always huge queues at the bar and this was the same on Friday evening. They do suggest pre,-ordering drinks for the interval and it might be worth offering some sort of incentive, to encourage people to do this.

The Grand Pavilion is a smashing venue, I have been here many times, I have eaten in the cafe and the food was lovely. I have attended many musical performances and have really enjoyed each and every performance. I would recommend that if you are in the area, pop in and have a look around for yourself, it really is a gem of a place.

This is a lovely old building. It is only a small venue and I find this so much nicer than a huge venue or arena. There are a couple of bars and drinks can be pre-ordered for the interval. Sound quality is really good and the atmosphere last night was amazing.

Saw Lionel Richie tribute last night. Having seen him for real quite a few times I must say this tribute act was phenomenal. If I closed my eyes I could of been at a concert. It was a brilliant night even the accompanying band members were amazing. The harmonies were spot on and yes everybody was "Dancing on the ceiling" "All night long". Really hope they come back again. The pavilion is a great venue so intimate. Highly recommend going to see any band or show there you won't be disappointed.
