Awesome park.. So much to do hike, swim, picnic, rock climbing, spent last weekend at lantern festival and it was amazing. Beautiful to see them floating on the water. Really good family event. Public Bathrooms that are open and clean. Best public swimming in Post Falls.

One of our favs! Last weekend we “tootled” around for over an hour through the well marked trails. The views are fabulous (of course) but the location is the best. Having this park (and the Community Forest) right in our backyard is such an asset! The entire park and forest were very clean, and the one piece of litter we found we picked up and threw away. One of our favorite locations to visit when we are looking to get away without going too far.

There is two different entrances. Several different trails marked with colored dots. Private property along some trails so be aware of that. Great place for an adventure minus when it is icy. Lots of white tail deer in this park. Great running trail when it isn't Winter.

The most gorgeous park ever! I love it there! It's a little haven right downtown. There's so many walking trails, the river, the dam, the beach, places to rock climb, large grassy areas, benches, volleyball, lots of places to barbeque, the docks, the mossy rocks, all the flowers and breathtaking scenery... It's so beautiful, that there's even a venue for weddings!

Quite possibly one of my favorite parks in the PNW. A variety of trails all easy to moderate so perfect for casual hikes or introducing curious non hikers. Plenty of really cool off trail excursions that won't get you super lost as long as you have GPS. And phone service. Plenty of climbing spots. Not a fan myself but every time I've been here no matter how great or how terrible the weather i run into climbers. So if climbing is your thing...there's a few spots most of which have anchors ready. All in all. No matter what your preferences be it climbing or a hike. This park has everything. Plus fun facts and all that along the way.

I always love going here. The water is comfortable. There is never seaweed or gross things touching your feet. You can swim in the shade or sun. It usually has a lot of families here, but the place is so big there is always enough room. A play ground for the kiddos. Bathrooms. Buit in BBQ pits. The only downside is you have to pay $10 to park. Free if you have a disabled placard. There is also free parking on the street. Im all about free activities, but this place really is worth the $10 if you make a day out of it!

This is such a great place to take the family, go rock climbing, or go trail running 👣😉. The paths are marked very well and easy to navigate. There are anchors all over for top rope or lead climbing. You can walk along the river and see two different dams and many other beautiful sights and fishing spots. I would recommend this park to anyone looking to get away for a little while.

Another spectacular effort by the folks managing the parks in this area! For something that notes itself as a small park, the experience is expensive and grand! The opportunities here are varied levels of difficulty and skill. However, each experience is emersive and enjoyable. If there is one small knock, perhaps a more descriptive listing of the type and scale of the terrain, as well as perhaps a skill and effort meter for the various trails wood be helpful to visitors unfamiliar with the park. Having noted that... If you are of able body, mobility, and endurance... Don't miss the purple diamond followed by the purple circle!! Allow yourself a couple of hours to enjoy the sights and experiences, as well as trek at leisurely pace. This park, along with others in the area, are amazingly grand for their footprint! Don't miss these!!

Best park for hiking in the area. A few years back the city acquired 100 acres west of the park and there are miles of trails from easy to difficult. Great views of the dam and the old Avista brick power plant. The rock climbing is also amazing. We are so lucky to have such an amazing place right here in town

Gorgeous park for swimming and kayaking, the grounds are extremely well kept! The adjacent hiking area has trails of various difficulties as well as rock climbing stations. We're happy to call ourselves regulars!

I love Spring here. All kinds of wild flowers... The falls are treacherously beautiful... There are easy trails and harder trails and places for people to rock climb.

Beautiful area to hike. Trails are not too crowded and everything was blooming! You can do a short loop or explore the longer trails, up to you!

Fun place to visit. Pups allowed on trails if they have a leash. There are a couple of fishing holes. There is a human watering hole nearby,(Post Falls Brewery).

The unmarked cliff that was invisible in the snow almost killed my wife and I and my 3 dogs. There should be some kind of warning sign put up there. My 4 month old puppy ran strait off this 100 ft cliff and barely is alive. This has cost me several hundred dollars in vet bills and could have been avoided if the proper warnings had been installed. Seems like for a state park, it would be a given to warn people of such danger. I fear somebody with a kid could easily make the same mistake. I guarantee they would not live.

Great facilities, well-maintained. Attended a company function here, and there was space for all 250+ attendees. Great park with nice views of the water. A couple of restroom facilities were available. Ample parking. Restrictive about pets, so visit and fund out before bringing your fur-kid to play.

What a wonderful place! I took my 84 yr old mom there to put her toes in the water and she loved it! We also met a really nice lady and had a great conversation! The water is clear and feels so soft. Boaters are courteous and you can't ask for a better experience for a young family!

Its pretty view looking out at water .real nice place to take a hike. Or have a kids birthday party there. summer its real busy lots and lots of people. The ones that dont live here. The people that do live here the ones that have been here there hole life cant even go and find a place to park all the plates are from out of state I Think its not fair to the people that have been here forever. They should start charging them 100 dollars to park and swim maybe then we could be at OUR park A
