Bagels, breakfast sandwiches and pastries are my go to here. The Local also does specials which are always enticing! A good breakfast/lunch for a fair price.

So glad we found this place! The girl at the counter was so personable and helpful. The chili was awesome as was the bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup. My husband’s Texan sandwich was equally great. And for dessert which we actually ate first, was an almond joy cupcake, yuuuummy! The place had cute tables with fresh flowers. 5 stars all around!

As always being from NY we are skeptical of buying bagels anywhere else, and we have now found the best bagels in Vermont!!! Right here in Bennington, Vermont. Absolutely delicious fairly priced with excellent customer service!!! Highly recommended

Very nice little cafe just a short distance from the downtown center. Food was great!

Stopped at The Local to fuel up with coffee and bagels before heading to Prospect Mountain for the day - both were delicious! The staff is friendly and attentive and the sunny space is cozy and warm. Will definitely be back to try the sandwiches and yogurt parfaits! When you visit be sure to say hello to Jake (the cat) from State Farm who lives next door!

Fresh, tasty bagels, revised menu, fair prices, and warm atmosphere. Coffee and tea still need upgrading.

Stopped in for breakfast, I got the egg bagel with olive cream cheese and my husband got the Texas which is basically a steak and cheese on a bagel! Both were delish and very fresh! We will definitely be back

Besides always being so uncomfortably warm in there, after 25 min they realized they had forgotten my breakfast order. Got a refund and went elsewhere.
