My favorite temple and biggest in the city.... It's the main attraction as well as the main spiritual place of our city centre... Estimated to be almost five years old, this temple is a multi-faith site. All people, regardless of caste and creed, are welcomed here with open arms. This generates a benevolent atmosphere which creates positive vibes. Also can find a lot of foreigners very interestingly spending their time in the temple by watching the surroundings and elephants🐘🐘 of the temple....The temple is coming under Travancoore Devasom Board.

One of the renowned temples in Alappuzha! Situated almost one kilometre away from the Alappuzha KSRTC bus stand. The temple festival is very famous, many people visit here during the occasion!

It was a beautiful and inspiring experience. The temple was beautifully crafted with ornate features and intricate carvings. I was impressed by how well maintained the temple was and the amount of devotion that was present in the air. The main shrine of the temple was majestic and had a majestic aura to it. The temple was also very serene and peaceful and I enjoyed the spiritual atmosphere very much.

Very big and pleasant temple. Rajarajeswari Devi temple is main but there are smaller temples inside of Hunuman, Subramanya & Ayappa. It closed after 8 pm so you can visit here if all other temples are closed by 7pm which is usual in Alleppey. There is a huge Elephant, a tusker inside the temple.

Must visit temple in Allepey. During December a large fare is organized in the nearby area. Comparatively crowded but very peaceful. Must have Prasad..

Giant temple with amazing beauty in the city of backwaters. Most part of the city is surrounded by the backwater of the lake and some part has roads and residential areas. This temple is the best temple in the residential area. The scenic architecture of the temple attracts tourists from the road. The interior of the temple is filled with peace and joy. A must visit place if you are in Alleppey.

    (Translated by Google) The Mullakkal Temple is believed to be around 500 years old. There are many popular stories behind the name Mullakkal Temple. The temple got its name from the abundance of jasmine flowers and plants around the temple. Another unique feature of the Mullakkal temple is that it does not have a roof. The roof can be seen at a height of about 20 feet near the entrance to the temple. This is the only part of the town that has a roof because of the elephants that roam here. It is said that the exiled soldiers from the south came here with the idol of the goddess they worshiped. Over time, they built a temple in the hedgehog garden. It is believed that the temple was under the rule of King Devanarayana of Chembakassery. It is said that during the war of Tipu Sultan, a group of Brahmins from Malabar came here in the form of Annapoorneshwari, whom they worshiped. Another legend says that they later built a temple in Mullathottam and started worshiping. Most people visit this place during Navratri, Nahanavami, Vijayadashami and Thaipuyam. Mullakkal Chirappu is a festival that shows the intoxication of the festival of Alappuzha. Mullakkal Chirappu is a trade fair held in connection with the festival between the Mullakkal Rajarajeswari Temple and the Kidangamparamba Temple. Mullakkal Chirappu lasts for one to 41 days from Scorpio. On the first Sunday of December, Chirappu is led by women only. 🙏🙏🙏

I have recently visited this place along with my friends. It is way too much good and such inner peace ☮️☮️ . Although it is basically a place to visit for the couples as the views of the station are way to romantic if viewed as a couple . The beauty of this place lies within the greenary of the plants along with the advantage of the high altitude. All the places nearby are too good and are must visit place .the top view point and the hillstation area are way too good . Although it is a chilly place but it is much better to visit the place in the monsoon season so that you can see its true beauty .You can spend your vacation here if you are nature lover .The views of this place will blow up your mind .especially when you reach the peak of the place you would feel like you are in heaven only thing is that you are alive.... 😁😁 .You can see way too much tea plantations on your way along which adds much more greenary to the place .All in one it is a must visit place if you are the hillstation type of a person 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It's comparatively a smaller temple in the region. Dedicated to Goddess Rajeshwari, the temple is situated in the middle of the market. It has a central Sanctum which is open to the Hindus only. If one is not Hindu, he/she can enter the campus and visit rest of the temple dedicated to Lord Hanumaan, Ganesh, Krishna etc. Males are supposed be half bare bodied inside the sanctum and female are to wear traditional (full body covered) dresses. The timings are usual as rest of the temples in Alleppey i.e. Morning 6AM to 12PM and then 5PM to 9PM. This could not be Must Visit place in Alleppey, but sure do fulfill the purpose of having a serene experience of traditions in the middle of the town. P.S. Locals may not appreciate you bringing out your camera for taking a shot.

This is an excellent temple in the heart of Alappuzha town. "Mullackal chirapp" maholsavam is world famous. A lot of people gather here from different parts of the world. It's a crowdy and a week long festival. By this time a beautiful and a unique Mandapam will be made across the street. The streets will be decorated with flowers and leaves for the wonderful "Ulsavam". The street in front of the temple is always crowdy. Parking space is very small. A police aid post is also located nearby the temple.

Alleppey has many temples and each of them is excellent. I visited 3 of them - Devi temple, Shiva and big Subramanya Swamy temple on main road. All temples have similar architecture and are lit with lamps at sunset with main prayers. It’s worth attending the sunset Pooja / prayer.

Quite a big idol of feminine nature erected in an open roof sanctum. Rainwater falls on the idol. The unique instrument in her hand is a shovel. Festivals are celebrated pompously by traders in the vicinity of the temple. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing. A lot of very old shops to visit.

PLEASE! Don't support! This is animal cruality as it's finest. They keep an elephant tied up. It's clearly dispaling signs of disturbance. Elephants in the wild don't swing their head like this. It's a very typical sign of mental illness Elephants display in captivity. It's very sad this elephant is mentally Ill from beeing tied up. It's disgusting people do these things to living beeings.
