We stayed at this hotel and ate at it's restaurant for 4 consecutive days. I must admit, it is a great place. Right from the hospitality, to prices and to the taste of the food served, everything is perfect. I recommend staying at this place for everyone who is going to visit coimbatore. Even if you can't stay at the hotel, you can definitely have ur meals at the restaurant. They also have one fine dine restaurant, called Kove. It serves amazing food from across the world, in absolutely authentic manner.

Situated at E Arokisamy Rd, R S Puram. Was able to stay at IKON for 2 days, so had the opportunity to visit this well known vegetarian restaurant a few times. The place is almost always crowded, especially during lunch time, but parking is satisfactory in the available place. Of all the items I was able to try, their ghee roast and coffee were among the best I have had. Price is a bit on the higher side, but I believe the food is definitely worth the price. Staff also is very friendly and helpful. Overall, this 60 year old restaurant lives up to the hype and keeps up with its high standards.

A good meals restaurant with AC and non AC section. If you are looking for only South Indian thali go for non AC. If you are looking for a fusion of both north and South Indian thali then go for AC section. Parking space is bit limited but you can park in 100 mtrs radius. The service is really quick and nice. Staff are really courteous. You can see the zeal when they are working. Taste is really good. They have banquet halls too.

Pride of coimbatore and always a nostalgic experience here. Dosa, coffee, Rose milk and meals any day you can just go for it with no second thoughts. This was recently renovated and has ample car park opposite to the restaurant. Also has party halls within the same building.

The Journey of Annapoorna started when the brothers, Damodaraswamy Naidu, Rangaswamy Naidu, Ramaswamy Naidu and Lakshman Naidu decided to start a petty shop opposite to the Kennedy Theatre to support the family. With sheer determination on delivering quality products at reasonable price, the business started attracting more loyal customers. In the 1960’s the owner of the Kennedy Theatre on seeing their determination and quality of business invited them to run the canteen at the theatre. ‘ The Famous Keera Vadai and Filter coffee’ was born. Back in the days quality snacks was rare, serving piping hot Filter coffee and crispy keera vada cooked from fresh oil set a new roll to the business. In 2years the Brothers were offered another canteen at the Central Theatre. The brothers were already planning on expanding as their customers were overflowing, selling snacks during the interval was restricting the customers. They decided to open their first bakery, Royal Coffee Bar at RS Puram. Following the Bakery, the brothers found a rental space on DB Road and decided to set up their first restaurant. The first branch of Sree Annapoorna, named after the Goddess of food Annapoorani, opened its doors to customers in 1968. This was at a time when the city’s restaurant industry was dominated by two giants —Kenneis Bhavan and Ideal Coffee house. The two groups enjoyed a reputation as the food factories of Coimbatore because of the massive volumes of food they would produce. “Though these two giants were located close by, we did not aim at competing with them We only wanted to satisfy the hunger of those who came in search of us.We never dreamt of acquiring their customers but wanted to create our own set of customers,” said Mr. Ramaswamy

One of the best hotel for Breakfast, lunch and dinner in Coimbatore city. The service is excellent and they make you feel at home. Meals is unlimited and even with heavy rush their service is extremely fast. You have options for North Indian, South Indian and Chinese dishes. South Indian dishes is definitely a must try and you will definitely not regret them. Don't expect too much spicy food here. But it's clean & hygienic place. Kids friendly. If your are going on weekends then you need to wait for a min of 10-15 mins. They have multiple branches within the city. Check for Sree Annapoorna only ample parking space available.

It is one of the fantastic restaurants I have visited. It's pure vegetarian with master chef level dishes. We were shocked when we saw the menu card, there are a variety of options. We really enjoyed the food and ambience.

Ordered curd Rice and tomato rice. Very bad.. They provide only white chutney for that. If u can't do properly dnt charge that much for this cheap food. Platform thattukadai pottala sapadu is better than this. If u can't serve food properly in this Corona time, close ur hotels.. Bcz not only this branch, all of ur branch food taste changed..

Annapoorna is one of the top restaurants in Coimbatore. It is located right beside the road and has ample car parking space. However, it can get quite crowded during peak hours. It has an enormous area with loads of seating. Air conditioned seating is also available. Sweets and confectioneries can be bought at the entrance. The ambience is decent, but can be improved. The restaurant is pure veg, but it has a wide array of options which caters to everyone. Options range from breads to gravies to salads to huge platters. The food is excellent, and the service is also decent and quick. All in all, Annapoorna is a great restaurant for traditional South Indian flavors. Strongly recommended.

Recently I visited for lunch the special meals taste totally different it was not that of annapoorna signature, after having few bites of food my stomach felt bloated and couldn’t eat more felt like soda was added to it and rice s bit overcooked. The other side taste normal but the taste s not anymore as before. As brand has its value we r eating thru eyes rather than our taste buds.

Consider only if you're a group of 4 or less than that. The hotel seats only 4 guests in a table so any group of more than 4 are accommodated in maximum of 4nos per table. Families cannot sit together and share food 😔

Annapurna and Gowrishankar are the two earliest pure vegetarian hotels in Coimbatore. They are, once upon a time, known for high-quality food. Lately, the quality of the food is much desired. They are overstaffed. There is a fight among the staff for tips. Renovation is in progress, so naturally lot of dust inside the hotel, despite covering the premises. The food is not worth the cost. Hope, they will start looking into this and improve quality.

Awesome place, I had a lunch in afternoon returning from Coimbatore and the place was filled with people at 2:30pm. I tried to catch a table and had our lunch and it was awesome. Sorry I didn't take any pic as I was starving and started to eat. On a banana leaf I had 3 different types of sides, papad, pickel, payasa, salt. Staring with white rice and vegetable curry with ghee was super to start with following with rasam, curd sambar. Ending with thick curd rice was a nice way to end our meal and we were full. Overall ambiance was good, taste was awesome and hospitality is also pleasent. I would love to visit again here.

Very bad experience in Annapoorna...it's not service industry ...purely business oriented food items are costly...Administrators the way treat us and approach us is not good...in name of healthy food they prefer chief food using Ghee...they use Ghee to increase the food taste.
