Don't be deceived by reviews. After seeing all the online reviews, I had decent amount of expectations, I was looking for some veg delights. The good things about the restaurant 1. Amazing Ambience ( feels very traditional with a deity of Annalakshmi) 2. Nice music choice. Now what are not good: We ordered Masala pappad, veg soup, butter naan and Panneer kadai masala. Out of our surprise, nothing was tasting good. We couldn't belive that a restaurant of this calibre has this low level of food quality. The soup was half cooked, no vegetables whatsoever. The Panneer kadai masala did not have any flavour at all. It was worser than what you get in some random hotel. The food quality and taste were sub-par quality. The hospitality and service were good. In this restaurant you are only paying for the interior works they have made. IF YOU ARE A FOODIE AND WANT TO EXPLORE VEG DELICACIES, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Literally being a kannadiga this hotel is one of the best cuisines I've ever had in Tamil Nadu. A must visit for people who love typical dishes. A very well maintained restaurant with world class features and felt a pleasant time. Highly recommendeding everyone to visit this restaurant in Combiatore!

The food was not worth the price. I will never recommend or visit this place again. The taste of the food is below average and also the utensils where very dirty and not washed. Attaching one photo which I took of a Tomato soup. The soup was too watery and could feel the tomato flavour in it. The curry and the starters we ordered where a big flop as well. But the Naan and stuffed Kulcha we had was good. Ambiance : 4/5 Food Taste : 1/5 Worth the price : 1/5 Overall I had a very bad experience.

#coimbatore This city gives me so much everytime I visit. Another very simple yet beautiful and serene lunch experience at the Annalakshmi restaurant, Coimbatore! The food is a culmination of energies the vibes of the place and people around makes it a fulfilling experience. We started our lunch with the ginger soup that helped in building our appetite. The bajji and crispy was perfect for the starters. The thali was a perfect blend of vegetables, roti , rice and poori. The next course was very exciting steamed rice with 2 varities of parapu podi ( garlic and curry leaves) with ghee, another portion of rice with sambar and pepper puli kuzhambu. The rasam was yummy and I opted to have it like a soup. The puli aval ( poha) needs a special mention, more like masala poha but made using tamrind pulp. We south indian love to finish our meal with curd rice and that's exactly what I did. Perfectly mashed curd rice with a dollop of garlic pickle and vadam was a beautiful finale to the thali! The sweet finale was even exciting, it was so good that I completely forgot to take pictures. Fresh fruits with icecream ❤️ Special mention for the service and hospitality felt like home. I have heard many positive reviews about Annalakshmi Restaurant, so I decided to try it. I visited this vegetarian restaurant for lunch along with two other guests. We got a table even though I didn't make a reservation. The ambiance of the restaurant is the best part of the whole experience. It creates a nice feeling throughout your dining experience. My order was for a Burnt Garlic Fried Rice and Kadai Paneer. Both dishes tasted delicious. The rice and the gravy had the right amount of spiciness to it. The other guests enjoyed the Mahalakshmi Preethi Bhojan. Their service was quick, and the staff who took care of our table was courteous and gave suggestions from the menu. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed dining at Annalakshmi Restaurant! Highly recommended!

The Overrated and Too Costly place for lunch . Yes food quality is Good. Didn’t trouble stomach. But 300 rs for fried rice , 375 for normal meal and 300rs for curry is not worthy. Museum Ambience is Good . But the place is not worth for the money spent . Can be avoided in case of casual dine in. Just to show richness we can visit.

Amazing dining experience with a great blend of tasty food, caring service & soothing ambiance. Most of Annalakshmi restaurants revenue is for charity. Service is done by volunteers from various professionals of high positions. Food prices are certainly on the higher side, but their purpose easily justifies. Worth spending than in a costly 5 star restaurant. Open car parking is shared with Pazhamudhir Nilayam. Need to accept the narrow lane challenge, where assured parking space itself is a luxury in such a prime area. True fine dining experience for vegetarian foodies.

Came here two nights in a row *explicitly* to try the North Indian meal but was left disappointed both nights. Unfortunate, considering I had heard good things. Guess I’ll never know. This unavailability was despite a prior booking. We let them know that we wanted the thali and were assured that we’d be accommodated... Untrue.

This is a good example of a relaxed fine dining south indian experience. Great food, service and the warmth, care and attention are exceptional. There are 2 types of lunches and we tried both and enjoyed the traditional cuisine. Special mention of Meera Madam who served us with so much of warmth. Kudos to the full team. An experience to remember forever.

Atmosphere was good and service was good. But food was not value for money. Compared to what I had in Anadhas and Aryas they had nothing but their charges for the same food was quite high. Any CBE ppl here pls let me know your views about this place. Parking is not available need to find one in the street, it is not a problem you can find one though. This is my honest review after a disappointment. And Thokku Dosa pls don't have it ppl,if they recommend. 😭🙂💯😇

This restaurant interiors are very good. Aesthetically designed that reflects the ancient Indian ethos. There are beautiful sculptures and some photographs that adorn the walls. I loved this place for the interiors design. The food was good as well. Not spicy and easy on your stomach. However, the service needs improvement. The people who run the restaurant can be a little more polite when talking to customers. That definitely needs to change.

Annalakshmi restaurant is one of the finest vegetarian resturant in coimbatore. Taste of food was fabulous. Ambiance was great with godess statue in the center. Service was too good, loved the way they served the meals in silver plates.

Better for South Indian food, I have tried North Indian thali but most of the items were South Indian, and taste of North Indian items were not at all good. Will suggest this hotel only if you wish to have meals, south style food.

Very delicious pure vegetarian food served in silver plates, the dishes are tipical southern India. The restaurant is characterized by antique carved wood decorations which make the ambience very pleasant. Staff professional and kind.

Just had a lunch at this veg restaurant, as it was quite full in the other restaurants nearby and we couldn't find a place for us. The restaurant was on the third floor and they have a lift service available. The taste of the food was so bland and pathetic and added to it the food was way too overpriced, so it's definitely not for someone like myself who wants to have a sumptuous meal in the afternoon. Except the paayasam nothing tastes good. Initially I was under the impression I'll be delighted to have a high class meal here but it was disappointing, and I don't like the ambience either. Will never be want to visit this restaurant again.

All their juices were just good Must try-adai with their vellam and butter combo,fritters, kolukattai,poori,juices and dosa. I would say the food served here is really good, but quite costly. If u r planning to party I wouldn't recommend it. If you wanna have a great food with great ambience and peace. The place is very beautiful with paintings and carvings with a soft melody.

Awesome traditional food in Sooperb ethnic look environment. I tried lagu bhojan and it was awesome food! Must try items: 1) Rice with ghee and try different pudis 2) Soup, today we had carrot and baby corn soup 3) tomato colambu 4) othu colambu 5) Spicy rasam - hot Last but not least the people who take orders, I believe they are owners and they are very friendly and customer oriented!!! Amazing food, grand ambience and a very friendly host. This place is just half a kilometre from Race course road. If you order North or South Indian meal, the dishes don’t stop coming. I really loved this place, a great food eating experience so far, the interiors were designed in a traditional way(artistic painting), it's a pleasant to watch while having food, the ambience were great, the service persons are gem of the restaurant as they were more courteous to the diners. I'd never been to annalakshmi before though heared a lot about their food and service. Visited coimbatore branch for a lunch. The first thing that caught my attention was their interior. It was just Wow. The seatings, antique cutleries, chairs and tables were authentic and it clearly says that its not just any other restaurants. We ordered a lunch combo that was 350 bucks and vegetable pulao with veg Manchurian. It was served in a silver cutlery. It took 30mins for the dish to be served. To my disappointment, they served, semicooked basmati rice wthst was similar to fried rice with the stir fired beans and carrots and they call it as pulao. Never tasted such pathetic pulao anywhere. Then comes the veg Manchurian, which was like a golf ball sized , when I cut that into half, the maida flour was just raw and I reported to the manager. Immediately they addressed it and asked me to eat slow till they replace with corn Manchurian. The lunch combo was again too simple with a soup, kootu, sambar, milagu kuzhambu , appalam, kesari, raita and rasam. Tell you with deep disappointment, that even a mildly charged hotels and restaurants serve good sumptuous meals than annalakshmi. May be I got bitter experience. Will never visit this place again giving such huge amount for a thali and pulao which not worth it. Giving 2 stars for the interior , ambience and for the service by volunteers. Food is a big disappointment.

Beautiful ambience inside the restaurant. Friendly staffs who help you very well and shows their focus on customer service. The food quality is good and the pricing is aptly justified. There's no ample parking space near the restaurant and also the entry is a little confusing to find. They don't have boards, we've to ask the shops at the ground floor on the entry.

They are using more flour in all dishes and though they have place they not allowing walking to sit

Yesterday I went for dinner at 7,30 pm and my bill was for Rs 1670. I gave Rs 2000 for payment . When the balance came with the bill I just took it without counting and kept Rs 59 as tip and left the place. It was 9 pm. This morni6 when I checked up the 200 Rs given by them had ink all over and now I cannot exchange anywhere. Such a respected restaurant doing this way to the customer is very bad on their part. I lost the good faith on the restaurant now and will never vouch for anybody henceforth. Thanks annalakshmi for treating customers like this

Excellent ambience. What I liked most about the restaurant is that even though there are sufficient tables, they don't fill up the entire hall with guests (atleast when I was there on a Sunday) as a result of which the place looks elegant and royal. Also the menu is not too much spicy. Price is extremely reasonable for the menu and the service.

One of the famous south Indian restaurant in coimbatore and chennai. The interiors are pose with red carpet and wooden finish. The utensils and cutlery is made out of silver. Which makes the eating experience very rich. The taste of soup and curd rice is good but other items are very average. Service is bit slow. They have south Indian as well as south North thali which has both south and North items.

Too overpriced. Ambiance is good. But pricing too much for food that is just above average in terms of taste and presentation is just not worth it. Food preparation takes too much time. The place is located in the 3rd floor. There is entry through the side of the building to the lift.
