Two words - over-rated! I only had chaats so the review reflects purely that aspect. Wait time to enter was roughly 30min around 8 30pm on a Sunday night. However it wasn't that bad either. Place was packed and filled with North Indians rather than locals. Probably the name brings more people here than the food. And with the name and cuisine comes the expectations for quality and quantity. Both failed in the chat section. Pani puri was just average and even chowpatty guys sell better ones. The Dahi papdi chat was relatively better, but less in quantity. Had a Lassi too. Again, just average. So, my rating stays the same until they surprise me in the main course section.

This is one of coimbatore's best chaat and north Indian dine. Located in Ramnagar, it's hard to find parking for 4 four wheeler. The food proces were affordable and the service was quick. We order katchhori and Lassi as starters, it arrived in less than 5 mins. The taste of Lassi was heaven in mouth for sure. They have a good variety of roti and Currys. The taste has remained the same for more than a decade now. It's a vegetarian joint. The curd as accompainment with Paratha, was so thick and creamy. We enjoyed our meal here and would definitely recommend visiting again. A must visit in coimbatore.

recently tried the food at Delhiwalas, and while it may be a little on the expensive side, it's undeniably delicious and full of flavor. They offer a wide range of Northern and Punjabi vegetarian dishes, as well as delectable snacks and chaat. It's a one-stop destination for North Indian cuisine lovers.

This place serves the best mouth watering North Indian food. This place always stays on the agenda. The dal tadka here has no words as it's the best tadka I have ever had in Coimbatore. The masala kulcha, garlic naan and the jeera rice makes a delicious combo with dal tadka. And definitely end ur meal here with thandi chaas(butter milk). The chaat and savouries here are amazing too. The dahi puri, pani puri and the best pav bhaji is great.

Good north Indian food items available. We normally enjoy being here. Somehow today it wasn't right. Paneer in palak was chill, aloo Paratha was not toasted properly . Missed the charm of dining a quality food.

Food tastes good but they use same base for all gravies which is kind of not interesting after 2-3 visits. Dal khichdi is a must try. Slightly expensive for the quantity served. Parking on road side is a challenge. Service is quick & good.

Just cancelled an item and the owner started yelling. I even apologized and they still wouldn't stop. Both the owners were very very rude. Definitely will not recommend the shop.

This is our favorite retaurant for North Indian Food. The Roti, Naan, Paratha and all side dishes are made very tasty. The quantity is optimal as well and the quality is good as well. Conveniently located in Ram Nagar, but you may need to go around a bit for parking your car! You may have to wait for a table if you are visiting between 1:30 to 3:00 pm, especially week ends.

None of items has the original authentic north Indian taste. Nor made in the way it is made in Delhi. Chat items are a joke. And food is too hot and spicy to get the real taste. The owner may be from north. But somewhere it has become south styled north dishes. Such joints are spread throughout Coimbatore. I will not advice foodies this place unless one is willing to sacrifice all to fill up for hunger... 2 star...

My mother and I after hearing a lot of good reviews visited this shop today. We were very upset with the quality of food and the taste. The Shahi paneer was terrible and we got it replaced. Over priced restaurant for the quantity of food provided. There are better alternatives than this place. I’d recommend Punjab Express. Disappointed:(

Bad service during COVID Food is good... But had a horrible experience today for paying the bill. The guy in the counter is so cautious about COVID not accepting cards or cash. He wants to use Google pay, I was saying my card has contact less swipe facility but he was not accepting. You accepted card for the person who paid before me but didn't accept for me... Are you treating customers based on race/north indian/south indian/religion....? I felt very bad didn't argue for this as my wife was waiting in the other end. I asked him for the bill early to avoid all these but he denied to convey the bill amount. IF U R SO CAUTIOUS WHY YOU WANT TO RUN THE SHOP IN SUCH A BIG RISK. Also plz follow same procedure for everyone... Everyone pay same cost mentioned in menu no one eats fot free. I am seriously thinking whether we need to go back again in future... THIS MESSAGE IS SPECIALLY TO THE GUY SITTING IN CASH COUNTER - SIRJI WE PAY FOR YOUR FOOD YOU ARE GIVING US IN RETURN THE SAME BUT TREAT US WITH HUMANITY WE ARE NO WHERE INFERIOR NOR U R SUPERIOR WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEING HAVE SAME EMOTIONS.

After seeing the Google rating went to this place with high expectations. However the chats were very ordinary. Its not good when compared to the original chat flavour which we get in north India like aloo tikki and all. Definitely not recommended for chats.

Located at ram Nagar, famously known for its North Indian food.. There will be a wait to get a table. And the food cost is a little high, taste that you get for the price and the hype is just okay. So don't go with the expectation of getting authentic North Indian food, you might feel unsettled. Go with a mind to get some decent food. You will enjoy.

Nice ambience, but a bit more expensive than other north indian hotels who offer the same dishes for less price. The taste is good but the price for the dishes are not legible and that is the only drawback. Rather than this issue rest is good in this restaurant.

We went to take chat. Chats are not great in taste and we noticed there is no onion in any dishes. We have to order onion as separate. We are not satisfied with chat so tried stuffed paranta and gofta. Both are good in their taste but not spicy. Have to try other items.

location is very near to Gandhipuram Bus stand, for a north Indian cuisine this is perfect spot., Top class good north Indian restaurant, Every dish is so authentic is really good. Enough space for parking but the main course is little put off and the conventional taste, chat items are really nice and good. Price is also reasonable and service are awesome. best of luck...

It's pretty rare to get authentic north indian food in Coimbatore and this is definitely one of the top spots. The paneer palak is a must have. The paneer us so soft, it actually melts in your tongue. A dish you'd fall in love with 10 times out of 10.

  • 5/5 Kabilan M. 4 years ago on Google
Totally my choice of place for authentic North Indian food and sweets. It is a great place for a quick bite. The place offers take away. The place doesn't have a romantic or a calm atmosphere and thus makes it a great option for gang hangouts. You don't have to wait to eat here. But during weekends the place gets crowded. And parking too.

The best eatery for north indian chaats, food and sweets ... their sweet varieties are like no other in the city .. they have unique sweet made with white pumpkin. Price is reasonable too. 3-6 not ideal time to visit as they finish lunch and very limited items only will be available

North indian food lovers with ₹₹ pricing. Neat and tasty food. Good varieties of dishes. Tiny small but food and pricing is the highlight... Almost 500 for two people. Go only of you like North indian dishes. Sweets are also good to try. Hand wash area need to be better. After food they provide hand Bowl its a good option. Dont expect much hospitality. Just go have good North indian food and get out quick. People will be waiting for the next turn.

I went here with a colleague of mine who recommended this place as having the best chaat in coimbatore. And boy was he right. I think for the first time ever I reordered sev Puri, ate dahi Puri, also had kachori and samosa Chaat. The food was without doubt tasty. But I'm not giving a better rating because of the attitude of the waiters. It's almost like they are doing us a favor by taking the order and delivering it (delivery was quick), very grumpy.

One of d best place to have North Indian dish in cbe. Quality of all d ingredients used for food item superb. Prices for paneer side dishes are reasonable coz paneer is fresh and quantity okay but for aloo, daal, bhindi varieties is too high. Seriously 150 for dal fry is not fair. Everything else is better . Maximum of 25 ppl can have meals at a time. Place is hygienic but looks like roadside dhaba from outside. They are maintaining lockdown guidelines properly. Go for it.

One of the over rated restaurant for North Indian foods. The food taste is very average and the price is very high. Very costly and service is also very poor. Sitting is available but very limited space.

A good place. I am a regular here, the paneer used here will be tender soft. Dhal makhani is a must try here. I gave three stars because they sometimes lack consistency. Same dish will taste different at different times. My paneer batter masala today tasted like kadai paneer. We asked for a replacement and still got the same spicy kadai paneer like butter masala. The bread items are top notch here. Amazing garlic bread.

Our timing was bit odd, went there around 16:20/25 so staff greeted politely and offer snacks and savory and chat items menu only. Order 2 different kind of Samosa and Alloo. Paronthaa and it's was delicious. Service was great and staff are extremely polite, welcoming and we'll behaved. Only drawbacks is parking and location, it's hard to get there during peak time as road was even around 4:30pm and it's hard to find parking spot nearby.

Best place in town to have north indian dishes. We ordered Pani puri, aloo tikki, chilli cheese naan and dum aloo. All these items were so delicious even though the price is a bit high compared to the other restaurants. The quantity was decent. Aloo tikki and naan was very filling to the stomach. The staffs were kind enough while taking the order the waiter even provided a finger bowl after food which we cannot find in most of the bigger restaurants.. Waiting time in table: max 7 mins(during weekdays) Cons: Crowded in weekends Small area for seating Little pricey

If u truly love north indian food and staying in coimbatore u can consider the place. Food is gud and considerably true to the north indian dishes though the price is bit on the higher side comparing to the facilities and ambience they provide.

Staff retention seems to be very good. I've not seen any other eatery retain their waiters for almost 2 decades. That could explain the consistency of the quality of food too. Been eating at this place since early 2000s and the food quality and service has stayed consistent for almost 20 years. Price seems to have increased significantly though. Places like Kanchan's kitchen serve food of similar quality at a relatively lower price.

Food is good, but they should think about having standard thali and half plate for few items like most rajasthani dhabas do. For single person to have lunch or dinner these options are the best. Neither food should go waste nor customers money.

A authentic North 🇮🇳 food joint. Not so big in size, their dishes speak more... Felt the cost a little on the higher side, but felt ok after enjoying the food.

The food is excellent, no doubt. Certainly not cheap for the kind of ambience but you don't mind because the quality of food is really good. Be warned lots of ghee used. The service though has been disappointing. More than once, i asked for small customisation which was refused. This once i asked that the rice / khichdi in thali br replaced by one more roti and they refused. I could only order extra roti and pay more even if i wanted to forego the rice. I don't see what loss the place will make by my simple request. Somehow the attitude of the staff doesn't feel good.

Cleanliest place in Coimbatore. Even the staffs are well dressed. True nort Indian recipes with chat options. Staffs are well attentive. Very fast preparation. Variety of dishes. Jain options available. Very difficult to get parking and may be crowded in the weekends. Timing is from 11am to 3pm & then 5pm to 9pm.

A good place to have North Indian dishes. Mostly rushed during night, but the food is worth it. If you love North Indian items, then this is a must visit place. Do visit them and overall a great experience.

Last night we visited this place with friends. There was a long queue to get the table and we had to wait for around 30 minutes for our turn. We ordered papdi chat, malai kofta, paneer jaipuri, and tandoori roti. Papdi chat was without papdi seemed like somehow they made papdi chat. Malai kofta was semicooked paste of onion and the taste was so bad that next time this will haunt you while ordering malai kofta. When we made a complaint about the taste the waiter started arguing with us. Though they provided kadai paneer as replacement and it's taste was kind of ok. Paneer jaipuri was tasteless. Tandoori was not cooked properly aand it was also uncooked from inside. Overall experience was disappointing as we got the table after a long wait and the price was on the higher side. Not recommended in any case.

We ate pani puri and masala puri, both were too good, however dahi kachori and rasmalai were average. Moreover, we liked their quick service.

One of the best North Indian restaurant in Coimbatore. All the dishes are authentic but the price is little high. And they have to improve their service. You must try once.

The food is horrible! Normal restaurants offer good naan and curry than here.. i took suggestions from a few reviews and ordered masala kulcha and paneer jaipuri.. it was not cooked properly and was soggy and bland.. the gravy was poor too.. I had ordered dokhla, rasagulla and rasamalai they were good and subtle.. it's a place for sweets and chaats. Don't spend your money trying to fill ur stomach. And it's way expensive for food like these.. i spent 400 rupees here just for myself.. such a disappointment..😑

We have been customers of this hotel for years and they have been keeping up the food quality and service since then. Yesterday we billed certain items and forgot to take it. We enquired if they can be couriered but unfortunately it couldn’t be. For our surprise they refunded us the whole amount of the billed items. We thank you for the loyal customer service that we received Keep it up!

👍 Good veg restaurant near the main Gandhipuram bus stand. The food was of good quality. The service is okay but there is a delay in getting orders. The place seems crowded always since it is in a main spot. Overall a neat and well maintained restaurant. Recommended for a good breakfast. Note :- maps...
