Subbu Mess is one of our favourite restaurants in Coimbatore. They continue to maintain the taste over so many years. We have never been disappointed with any of the dishes which we had ordered. Their mutton briyani is one of our favourite dish. It is a must on all our visits. The service is fast. The place is neat.

I personally didn't like the biriyani which I ordered there. It was just tasteless. But the other few items which I ordered was OK.

Very unhygiene . This is the level of cleanliness . That's the table were they cut all the vegetables for the dishes .

Great taste and good service. This was first time for me , couldn't find any drawbacks. The service person prepared item which was out of menu only because we asked for it. It was so kind and grateful.

It's an average place. Can be good place for lunch or dinner within 100-200 rupees. Chicken is soft. We ate pepper chicken gravy and fried rice. Both were ok, nothing to complain about.

I am not satisfied with their Nonveg meals and especially their nethily fry because for 180rs they gave only 8 small size pieces 🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩🧩 which is comparatively small portion for big amount.The gravy for the meal was Chicken kurma,fish curry,rasam,curd, vegetables of 1 cup these all inclusive for 120rs.The taste was not that much great 😞 because the kurma is not suitable for meals it is ment for chapati and parota based items.And i asked for mutton kola balls but it was not available at that time. So my view of this hotel is you can have a decent meal only not a great meal there if you have more expectations like me don't go before you could decide whether to have a great meal or a normal meal.

I had been to sree Subbu mess this afternoon for lunch with the members of my family. Hotel had a few tables vacant. Not much crowded. We ordered for two nonveg meals, one chicken biriyani, mutton fry, veg fried rice and paneer chilly. Meals were served with fish kulambu and chicken kulambu. Usual poriyals, rasam and curd. All items were tasty except the chicken biriyani which was dry. As we started to eat all tables were occupied. The server had to attend about four tables and she had to rush from table to table. The bill total was Rs. 767.

One of the best restaurants in Coimbatore to get quality along with taste, Their are customer centric and will try their best to accommodate all the feasible customer request in case if your want to customize a dish a little bit (less spicy/salty/Oil etc), They do not use any harmful chemicals (Food Colour, Agino Motto, Old Oil), you see their quality in their food. They use only farm fresh vegetables and farm fresh meat. Excellent Service and a very friendly owner Mr. Chinnaraj. They take large party orders and are very friendly to deal with. I was very happy with their service at the restaurant and with party order.

We had non veg meals, mutton chukka and sheer fish fry. Food was delicious. Fish gravy alone was little bit below par from expectations otherwise enjoyed the experience.

Yuckiest place to dine in.. the place stinks and saw cockroaches on the dining table. You’ll puke if you go inside the place and for those ordering from home, I’m sure some or the other day you’ll end up in the hospital. The tandoori chicken ordered had to be thrown into dustbin.

I gave four stars to this place since the food is of good quality but I feel everything here is quite expensive when comparing to other messes I have been to. I ordered both chicken 65 and chicken chettinadu gravy which is quite sufficient for two person.

Heard about Subbu mess very long time ago. Last Sunday, I had lunch there. Seats were full during lunch time but got a place within 10 mins. Nominal price , attenders were friendly. Lastly, ordered pepper prawn which was not upto the mark and over cooked. Otherwise great hotel for non veg lovers.

Worst hotel ever.we order chicken fried rice and chicken kothu porotta , chicken 777 worst food ever.not up to the price. Too low salt and we adjusted with tomato ketchup. Chicken 777 they prived 185 , less quantity, average taste .

Average, too much oil and too much Maidha in starters, a big no no. Meals and Biryani were average. Affordable and in a prime location. No Parking on premise, find your own road side parking.

I would rate 2 stars for good food. And limited quantity with good quality. But it is littel high when compared to other hotels around the place. And most importantly, most of the workers(cleaners/servers) are north Indian. Not even a single south Indian.

Hi.. On the 1 st of April, rather late evening around 11pm with a friend for dinner I went to Subbu Mess* in D B Road, R S Puram.. We got roti and panneer masala and also veg. fried rice and maaza soft drink.. Service was a bit delayed, warm water had to be reminded twice and served after food , something unusual in our culture..! 🤔 Parking for two Wheeler was available way inside itself.. 👍 As most of the hotels/restaurants was closed by 11pm and we were happy to get served food on tables in Subbu Mess* is something timely and nice.. Also a family had come even after we sat and they were happy too.. Being an odd hour and to get both roti and dosa and fried rice was really appreciable.. 👍😊 Well, rates were quite nominal and affordable to a middle class and even below I guess.. After long time went to hotel for lunch. This shop was in my list for very long time and visited today. Ordered the mutton biryani, nattu koli biryani but mutton briyani was over.then ordered the chicken briyani and nattu koli briyani. Briyani was ok taste wise. Ordered the chicken pallipalayam and kada roast. One must try the pallipalayam chicken. Chicken was juicy and tasty. One of the best item in the coimbatore. Finally taken the lemon soda. Overall,ok place and difficult find the bike parking and not possible for car Parking. NFC accepted. But server was demanding the tips. This is the worst part because we got service from others person and other guy was demanding the 10% of bill. Totally disappointed and no one was ready to listen the complaints.

One of the best non veg restaurant in that area which provides good quality of food with reasonable price. Two wheeler parking is available infront of hotel. For four wheeler, it will be bit difficult for parking slot. Non veg lovers, must try.

Once reputation is reached, quality reduced to road side shops(Nowadays they to provide quality at par) and quantity of food is too low but priced higher than any other. This wasn't my first experience, I was regularly eaten here since 2016. But post Covid-19 they are diminished with standards. I wouldn't recommend this hotel/mess to anyone. I have ordered non veg meals and yuck 🤮 the rice is not even cooked or half cooked. Why NV meals needs a sambhar and mutton gravy was missing. Chicken and fish gravy seems same taste.
