This is a unique temple dedicated to the female deity whose statue is found in a lying down position. She's said to be quite ferocious to her enemies and caring like a mother to hr devotees. The most famous ritual is the Chilli Paste that is hand ground by the devotees using a stone grinder and offered to the deity so that she would turn her anger towards the devotees' enemies and turn them good. This Temple is at a distance of around 16-20 kms from Pollachi.. This Temple is situated on the banks of Adiyar river and upparu stream.. The main deity of the temple is Maasani Amman.. The Amman Idol is seen in a lying posture Measuring about 15 from Head to toe.. The temple is very well maintained and we had a good darshan of the Goddess. There are many vendors who try to sell things in the name of mandatory worship at the temple. Beware of these.

Address given in the Google is incorrect, it took us to a small family temple which was closed on that day. First time, I regret relying on Google. How they can upload images of Orginal Temple which is completely at different location around 70 KM from Coimbatore, in a place called Pollachi, which is a different district. Auto driver took Rs 400 for up and down, however the sadest part is we were very excited to visit this Temple to make some wish to Mother Goddess. Google ruined our day. So, it's a request not to ruin other people days also, please correct the information and stop advertising with adds like bolne se hoga, likhne se toh kuch hua nahi

Arulmigu Masani Amman Temple, also referred as Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple, is a highly revered shrine situated at Anaimalai, which is located about 24 km far south-westerly to Pollachi. It is situated at the confluence of Aliyar River and the Uppar stream, nestled amid grasslands against the backdrop of mighty Anaimalai Hills. The temple enshrines the goddess Arulmigu Masani Amman as the presiding deity. The deity is seen in a lying posture measuring 15 feet from head to foot, which is unique. Other deities worshiped in the complex include neethi kal (stone of justice) and Mahamuniappan. It is a popular belief here that Masani Amman cures any illness if one goes around her trident Inside of Masani Amman Kovil Main offering, red chilly grinding in Masani Amman Grinded red chilly after offering in Masani Amman LegendEdit According to local tradition, during ancient times, Anaimalai was known as Nannur and the region was ruled by Nannuran. He had proclaimed severe punishments on those who plucked fruits from the dense mango grove that belonged to him. One day, a lady happened to consume a fruit not knowing of the strict measures. Nannuran sentences her to death despite the plea of the general public. Later, Nannuran was killed by the villagers in a battle near Vijayamangalam, and a shrine was erected to worship the lady who sacrificed her life. Since the lady was killed, the deity was called as Masani, which meant mango in old Tamil. Later, the deity came to be known as Masaniamman.

One of Coimbatore's Devotional sites. Arulmigu Masani Amman Temple, also known as Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple, is a widely venerated shrine located in Anaimalai, some 24 kilometres south-west of Pollachi. It is located in meadows against the background of the magnificent Anaimalai Hills, near the confluence of the Aliyar River and the Uppar stream. The presiding goddess of the Temple is Goddess Arulmigu Masani Amman. The god is portrayed in a peculiar laying pose, measuring 15 feet from head to foot. Neethi Kal (stone of justice) and Mahamuniappan are two more deities venerated in the compound. It is widely held here that going around Masani Amman's trident can heal any disease.

Popular with locals and some tourists who are familiar with the temple. I went there during the day, during low tourist season. Temple was quiet and spacious. I enjoyed sitting there after my prayers just soaking in the vibe. The vendors outside the temple try to sell you things, more than what you need so learn to say No firmly. It is believed that this temple helps you get off people who have casted evil power/energy on you/family.
