After many years I finally made it here to this Resturant. Heard so much about their Biryani. Absolutely fantastic. Every nonveg dish ordered was yummy. Best part of this place is the cooks are the real owners seen standing with me in the photographs posted. Fell in love with their home made cooking. Disclaimer: it’s not a high-fi place. No ac. It’s simple dabha feel. But I loved it so much. Surely will come again.

I guess it was written that I could only taste their delicious food during my fourth visit to this place as the biryani was always not available late at night . But it was all worth the wait . We were around 10 people. We had brought our friends from Chennai and they all loved the food . What we ordered : Plain biryani Mutton biryani Kudal kari Chicken 65 Uppu Kari chicken Mutton chukka Pepper chicken Prawns varuval The biryani was soo good with their salna and every non veg dry tasted delicious. The boti tasted wow and it is a must try even if you’re not a fan of kudal kari . Only the prawns I felt wasn’t that fresh but it did have a good taste . Definitely recommend.

I don't know where to start. Attached all the pictures that I had taken from the beginning of my visit to Dhonnai Biriyani House. The consistency, Flavour, taste and hospitality remains the same till date. From their entire menu, my all time favourite is Afghani chicken leg! 🤩 I'm craving for it even while writing this review! Mutton dhum Biriyani & Chicken uppukari are some other must try items! 😋 Finger licking good food.. Will be visiting again and again whenever I'm in Coimbatore 😉

I don't know how people are appreciating this biriyani!!! This is the worst biriyani in my life. Very less masala and taste is like pulav not biriyani. Mutton biryani portion is less but price is Rs.255. All starters quantity is also less. Price range is from 150 to 250 which is worth less. Service is worst. When you enter into the hotel, they welcomes you after that no one will come to your table for service. Please avoid this place

I have visited few times. Mutton and Chicken Briyani tastes nice, not very spicy. Afgani chicken leg is spicy and tastes good. Other side dishes like andra chicken, mutton kudal fry are very good. The service is good, had a nice experience and definitely recommended.

The taste of andhra special chicken and afghan leg is really wonderful and biryani is also good.

Vera level Briyani!! Coimbatore has lot of Briyani hotels but this dhonnai Briyani has its own unique taste. Really enjoyed their Mutton Biriyani & Mutton Kudal fry. They have different varieties of Mutton and chicken side dishes. Mutton Briyani was ultimate, mutton pieces were perfectly cooked. Spice level was on the correct level, not too spicy or low. Overall worth a try!! Add-on: Had thier grape juice, it was just okay.

Worst Biriyani had in my lifetime , it’s not a mutton Biriyani it’s Just rice with pudhina flavour & mutton pieces , I asked the owner she said the cooks are changed so it take time to bring the old taste , so guys pls don’t waste the time & money , let them bring the old taste then u enjoy ur food

Did go by the reviews. Got 2 mutton briyani, lollypop and a chicken fry. Only the chicken fry was okayish. The lollypop had too much batter coating. The mutton pieces in the briyani were too hard for my liking. I was feeling uncomfortable all day after eating the briyani. Needs improvement.

We have tasted the biriyani, very mild flavored and cooked nicely. We also ordered phulkas which was nice and soft to go with afghan chicken (thick gravy) which tasted good. Next item was Nattu kozhi uppu curry, a dry & flavoured country chicken. A must try place in Peelamedu area, very close to the main road. Got enough parking available for cars.

Taste wise good and sufficient qty for 1 member.i bought Nattukozhi chicken biriyani here price was around Rs.233(Biriyani -220 & GST cost Rs.13), little bit disappointed for we need to buy boiled egg separately.

The mutton biriyani taste was delicious, but mutton piece bit hard. The mixing of biriyani and mutton piece would be amazing if they little care about cooking mutton. And pepper prawn was awesome. Must try this one. Mixing this with biriyani was fantastic. Really liked so much.

We are not satisfied after had lunch here today. Reason: 1. Mutton biryani(Rs.255) was like ghee rice and there is no Masala. 2. Nattu kozhi briyani taste is good and only lengthy leg is there and no flush on that. 3.Afgan chicken ordered and there is only 2 pieces and it's worth Rs.180. 4. First and last we tried chicken uppukari (Seriously it's normal chicken gravy only) To be honest, we are not satisfied on the taste, quantity and price.

I ordered Chicken briyani , Mutton briyani and Afghani chicken leg . Both the briyani’s were delicious and different from chettinad. Afghani chicken leg is the best out of everything. It comes with 2 pieces with a semi gravy type. That’s a best side.

No words to explain the taste in this shop. Service is very good and we travelled around 14 kms to have a food especially in this shop. My hubby’s favourite shop especially dhonna briyani concept was excellent and impressive.

Dhonnai biriyani house amazing food taste, service, atmosphere everything will excellent. But biriyani quantity only less quantity better from your side increase the quantity. This is my suggestion not at all order. Otherwise your team hardworking etc very excellent 👍👌

Overpriced compared to other hotel in this budget many hotels providing tasty food in well quantity. Here taste okey(5/10). I don’t know why that much rate for that.quantity is very less

The best of the best mutton biriyani I have ever had in my life… trust me on this guys… who ever is reading this… you should go and check out this place… I travel from Kochi to coimbatore only to have food from this place. Have been here multiple times with friends and family and everyone loved it… my personal favourites here would be mutton biriyani, mutton chukka and Afghani chicken leg piece!!!!! Focus is purely on the food. This is a no frills, hidden restaurant. Of course the mutton biriyani was good, but goat chukka and chicken 65 were especially good. No drinks available besides water or juice

Me n my hubby went to have lunch at donne biriyani. The biriyani was served in donnais which was very attractive to us at first sight. We had mutton biriyani, mutton khuska, chicken 65, grape juice. Everything was so yumm . The most shocking thing that happened there was the bill! Our bill added up to 625 . So we have them 1000rupees and they returned back 700 rupees. When asked the reason they gave was , THEY SERVE FREE FOOD FOR PREGNANT WOMEN! they did not take the cash even after we insisted so much! I have never heard of something like this before. Thank yu so much! And also the service was fast and too good ! We loved the done altogether!

The best Biriyani in Coimbatore! Wanted to go here for a long time and tried it very late. But it was worth the hype 💥 The Biriyani felt so authentic and spicy, didn't lack any flavour. Food is simply great. Mutton Biriyani was soft and delicious. So was Mutton Chukka. But some may not like the really small size and small parking. Best for takeout.

Yeah ..owwwsome! I tried mutton biryani and mutton chukka.. but I can't tried thonnai leaf. mutton biryani spices is good taste its totally different. biryani aroma is nice. They use seraga samba rice.

After so many mixed reviews on Dhonnai Biryani House, I finally tried it out and the feeling is, well, mixed! Biryani is good. Nothing very great. I found it a little bland. Could have been spicier, at least a bit more green chillies would have made me happier. The Afghan chicken leg looks better than it tasted. The flavors had not soaked inside the piece, but the masala was delicious and the outer layer crispy. The mutton sukka was the dish of the day. It was really hot and spicy, pepperful flavor hits the senses on each bite and makes you want one more piece. Really goes well with the rasam and rice. Their menu also boasts liver, kidney, head meat, boti and such spare parts. The more adventurous can dig into those, but I had to pass due to lack of people to share with. Next time...
