The land for the club was purchased from S.L. Ramaswamy Aiyer of Sulur on 25 July 1891. To an existing small shed, a clubhouse, a billiards room, card rooms and tennis courts were added. The front Porch was called Verandah club. A large tree in the vicity was main meeting place of its members’ also called as Wisdom Tree. Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club was founded in 1891 at Racecourse, Coimbatore. The 118 year old club has also absorbed the various schools of thought and practice with regard the administration of the club over the years and has emerged colourfully cosmopolitan under all circumstances. The thousands of members of the past and the present have been the pioneers behind the development of our great city. The development of Coimbatore was proposed and brought about by the Cosmopolitan minds of our club so much so that the growth of the city owes most of it to our members. Once you enter the cosmopolitan club you will feel a kind of warmth and nostalgia with the friendly atmosphere and lots of fun and games and entertainment organized by our dynamic directors adds to that warmth and is a fun place to be. The club offers relief to the active businessman and relaxation to the retired senior citizens. It offers solace to the overworked middle aged person and recreation for the young man.

Centrally located on race course road, a well stocked bar and overall a great ambiance. Ravva dosa was crisp and tasty, chicken omelet too is good.

We stayed for one night. Complimentary breakfast is provided. The rooms are spacious with a tall ceiling. There is a lot of parking space. One can go for a morning brisk voice in the morning. From the first floor, one can enjoy a cool breeze. Staff were very cordial.

This is a lovely location having spacious parking space to have a pleasant get together. We the classmates of St Michael's High school, SSLC 1970-71 batch had get together there. It was a very nice experience.

An Elite club in Coimbatore allows non-member organisations to conduct meetings in their venue. One of the best meeting venues in Coimbatore with the best car parking facilities.

We had a very nice and pleasant get together of classmates of St. Michael's High school, SSLC- year 1970-71, after a period of 50 years. Great experience and pleasant moments. Had enjoyable nostalgic memories.

Stayed in the guest room during my recent visit. Lot of parking space. Guest room was very functional - not posh. But very well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly and quite respectful. Restaurant gets crowded on weekend evenings taking bit longer to serve clients. Also, there is a charging station if one is traveling by EV.

Cosmopolitan club consists of many amenities/ facilities including few boarding rooms at the center of Coimbatore. Separate facilities for car parking for members as well visitors.

There was an extremely rude watchman at the security gate. He made me go out and come back in before he would open the barricade bar for me. Unbelievable!
