Excellent doctors, staff, good ambience and hospitality. Really they need to work on waiting period to consult a doctor especially for elder people. Time management is very poor. Though we took appointment need to wait for minimum 2-3 hours. I have seen few were arguing with nurses as they waited for almost 4 hours. If they fix this I will give five 5 stars. It may be a strategy but it is testing every patient patience very much. Time is more valuable than money for all of us. I hope management will agree.

Worst management by the nurses who are under Dr.Mohad Juhed Khan. For confirming any scan or test needs to be taken they took 2 hours and after confirmation for taking scan waiting time is 2 hours. No proper Management by the staff and doctors

Last week i randomly called to enquire about master health checkup and Manormani madam has shared me details based on my requirements. It's very kind of her to followup to check my suitable time to accommodate the checkup so that i can avoid waiting time. On Saturday morning 7:45AM i reached hospital and all tests has happened on time including free breakfast in their canteen. I am very glad, when reports reached my WhatsApp number without me reaching out to them. Thanks for using technology effectively. Your hospital management is good example of treatment of patients with dignity and valuing our time as well. Thanks for the easy, seamless process and please keep up your meticulous process. Rooms are properly cared. Patient is properly attended by nurse. Doctor's positive approach cure the patient excellently. Kind approach by all attendant is credit to Institution. Dr.Bharat cumar took great care of our father. Nurses were co-operative and friendly towards my father. Particularly Deepa and Godwin rosy took extraordinary care of the patients.The only problem was with the food and food delivery people. Another problem was the billing was getting delayed.

Very worst experience, Yesterday I went there for treatment for stomach pain , For an emergency case they are charging Rs 750 for consulting. After paying that Money only they are starting consultation, very worst experience. I feel like GEM hospital is a money minded one. And they charged Rs 1000/ for bed charge only for 3 hours , this is unfair. How can middle class will come there for treatment? And the main thing is treatment is too poor , till night my pain is not subside but they are asking money for scan, medicines, some other tests. They gave only one Medicine from 9.30 am to 2.15 pm . I recommend people to not go there for treatment . Better we go another hospital . Overall very very bad experience.

I don't know how the hospital works... But as a human I know that a doctor should listen to the patients suffering before victim blaming them. My friend went there for checkup to Dr. Rajiv (gastroenterology)... And the way he talked to the patient was pathetic. Gaslighting the patient into believing that everything is normal and she is overreacting. She came out crying and feeling worse about herself. I'll say this again... I don't know how the doctor should behave, but as far as I know... They should understand the patient first before coming to a conclusion. He might be a great doctor, but as a human he failed.

Hospital and it's hospitality are found to be excellent. Doctors and supporting staffs are very good. However, treatment cost is little bit higher and it has to be looked into by the management. Affordability of the medical expenses are vital keeping in mind the middle class of the society. Hope this should be taken in healthy sense.

Never think of going to this hospital. They look at the patients pocket to earn the money, not the life and health of the patient. They are in operation success, but patient dead mode. Never ever go here if you want to save some one. 1. We admitted our mother for stomach pain, They did the surgery and we paid about 3 lakhs. 2. Before surgery, they should have given chemotherapy, subside the cancer cells, then the surgery should have been done. But they did not do that.. 3.. After the surgery, there should be post chemotherapy cycles should have been given. The doctor gave high dose of medicines where my mom could not tolerate after taking just 3 tablets for a day. Again, cancer came and we are in hefty pressure and life is at risk now. Goto Christian medical college and Hospital,(CMC) Vellore. They serve for patients health and life, not by looking at the patients pocket. Even they are at world ranking. On 27-Feb-2024- Note: My mother is still alive but the response from the owner says as no more. Dear Mr.Owner, if some one say that your mother/your family member is no more but while they are alive what will be your reaction. Please don't post the comment for the sake of posting. My mother case was not because of low white blood cells, it is because of your ignorance. What the heck, just like that you are mentioning WBC is low, can you prove it or shall we meet in the court.

I was lucky enough to hear about and choose GEM Hospital to have Laprascopic Surgery for hernia by Dr. Saravana Kumar on 10/1/23 and discharged on 11/1/23 with utmost satisfaction and gratitude for which I came all the way from Madurai. I am glad to recommend to all, who needs to have laprascopic surgery.

Very poor experience. The hospital and doctors are out to make money. Went in to show a simple case of bloating and headache. I knew I had a case of mild stomach infection. Even the doc one Mr M Rajiv knew it and said it but even then he wrote down tests for endoscopy and other tests. Which doctor in his right humane mind will suggest endoscopy for a stomach infection? I had no pain no bleeding nothing. Unless you have surgery to do, please don’t go there.

I went for Stomach pain.Had a great experience. The doctors responded as fast as they can. All the tests like endoscopy, ultrasonic scan everything were done at ease. Got a very happy feeling with nothing serious after consulting doctor.

Hospital is good. But in Gem pharmacy all the medicines are costlier than outside. Medicine rates are high than other shops, there are no proper discounts like outside medical shops. My mother had admitted last week there was some delay of packing the medicines and to IP room by pharmacy staffs after paying the bill. Sometimes it takes more than 2 hours. I went to cash counter and reminded him otherwise he would have forgotten. Please give some importance for IN Patients. If it is difficult to manage then give us the option to buy a medicine from outside pharmacy. And gem pharmacy is not accepting card payments when we are doing small purchases kindly accept cards for small payments too. it's bit frustrating while denying after standing in queue for long time.

Diagnosis and treatment is excellent. Time management should be improved especially when the appointments are for elderly.waiting period for USG abdomen was prolonged. My mother being diabetic suffered a lot due to fasting. The scan was taken aroud 12:00pm which caused more inconvenience to her. I am somewhat unsatisfied with the doctor's consultation regarding my sisters report. Dr.Santhosh could speak more regarding the test report ,he only asked to take ultrasound scan, CT scan, endoscopy at all.. We have done everything. But at last we don't have any satisfaction even though he said report is normal..If he spoke and gave his hope to us surely we will be very happy.. But ,Dr. Kavitha gave me a clear satisfied consultation in my case. I came for urinary infection I felt satisfied

Due to no proper token system in Ultrasound section I have waited very long time with empty stomach. There is a digital board facility available to implement the token system,but the staffs are not using it properly. This should be improved for patients satisfaction. The rest of the services are good other than Ultrasound section.

We had gone for my mom's hernia surgery. What I liked about the hospital is, they are putting continues effort to improve in each department. That is so beautiful. I felt like being listened to. Our feedback is valued. Every small issue is considered important. Doctor's are so caring and all staffs are very good. Food is good. Things for improvement : Anaesthesia Dr can come and visit the patients. Instead now patients are moved to their cabin for consultation. Surgery cost based on rooms we choose is not acceptable.

The surgeons are good but that's only not all we need in a hospital for good patient care and support. The nurses weren't attending my mom who recently underwent a surgery, they were fighting with each other during their duty times. Last but not the least , house keeping was the worst with poor hygienic practices.

I underwent a laproscopic hysterectomy in January 2024 at the age of 79 years. My doctor, Dr. Kavita Yogini, is very skillful and experienced. I had a lot of concerns about the procedure given my age and health history. She gave my family detailed explanations about the procedure, patiently answered all questions and gave us much moral support. Her entire team - Dr. Varsha, Dr. Vishnupriya, Kalpana madam and Dr. Azhar - were very supportive and responsive. My recovery has been quick and uneventful. The hospital staff were polite and attentive (special thanks to Ms. Sangeeta who helped us with rooms); room facilities and housekeeping/meals were very good. Other doctors like my physiotherapist Dr. Praveen Kumar and pulmonologist Dr. Anand Kumar also gave timely and encouraging medical care. The canteen is functional, has good variety, is clean at reasonable prices. The only improvement is to make the registration and waiting process easier and shorter for senior citizens, e.g., provide a fast lane or assistance. This was the main difficulty for us. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Yogini and team.

Hi i wish to share my experience with the Hospital. My mom was getting treatment for Colon cancer at Gem hospital since November 1 2023. The diagnosis was done late and so the doctors suggested to do surgery and remove the tumor followed by chemotherapy. Dr.Harish Kakaliya was the surgeon who performed the surgery and it was a success and we were very happy with the doctors explanation and care given before and after the surgery. Mom was also pretty happy and coming back to normal after the surgery. We had our final review with Harish on Jan 3rd and he was happy seeing mom recover well and gave a go ahead for chemotherapy. We visited Dr.Akila the Oncologist from Gem and they suggested for chemo on Jan 12th. The first chemo was done and there was complication after a week of chemo and mom passed away on Feb 3rd. We personally felt the oncologist was little negligant as she never visited the patient after chemo was done and no proper update was given on the post chemo steps to be followed. Even when we called them when mom started getting side effects like diarreah and skin rashes they asked us to visit nearby hospital, even when we asked shall we come to Gem and admit they said its not required. We then admitted her on Jan 29th at GEM by then she was almost critical and we couldnt bring her back. I would suggest to think twice if you are considering oncologist at Gem. They are really good till surgery as they have all the latest equipments and specialist doctors, but when it comes to oncology and chemo please think twice before continuing there. Thanks

Overall medical process and procedure is good.Staff attitude is good. But inpatient canteen service was not on good. In patient attenders room pillows were very hard and sleepless nights.

This is Ramakrishnan from Chennai One day finally I decided to visit Gem hospital for my hernia issue. On that day there were 10 surgeon available but luckily I met Dr Samrat Janker. He checked me clinically and asked me to do a scan after seeing the scan report he told me about surgery and cost approximately Then I fixed one day for my umbilical hernia along with inguinal hernia surgery and got admitted in Gem hospital The surgery went well with Lap and I am now recovered completely with in 20 days I am now relieved off my hernia thanks to Gem hospital and special thanks to Dr Samrat

Good hospital with proper care and listens to patients problem and doubts treat them very friendly right from reception. Have been in consultation with Dr. Planaivelu sir right from in Coimbatore branch and now moved to Chennai as it is close to my location. Diagnosis and Consultation are very good. But organizing consultation should be improved. Please provide preference who comes early morning and ready with all required reports. In my case, I have come at 7.30am and got immediate consultation with Asst. doctor. Then he suggested tests and all reports ready at 12pm. But I consulted doctor at 4pm. Organizer should consider my file first once my reports ready. i.e., please consider who ever reports are ready.

While we think about medical diagnosis and treatment of an unfortunate illness what’s extremely difficult task, nowadays, is finding out a right doctor and hospital, unless one has some acquaintances in the medical field. On top of that, if one is new to the city, this becomes more arduous. We landed at GEM hospital for my mother’s pelvic organ prolapse issue, after visiting (just consultation) a few hospitals / Doctors in Coimbatore. My mother got her laparoscopic surgery done by the Gynecologist Dr. Kavitha Yogini and her team. The doctor and her team guided us very well through the entire process, right from very first day of Consultation until the day my mother got discharged from the hospital. The doctor is down to earth person who has patience to answer all queries and spends enough time with each patient to explain about the disease and the remedies. During our post operative stay at hospital, the Nursing team and admin team were very supportive. There were a few issues but those were addressed quickly by the team. Ward cleanliness is just on par which needs some improvement. If I have to identify some other areas for improvement, firstly I would say about the nursing department. While the sisters are very attentive, I noticed that their expertise level was not on par, especially in the night shift. Secondly, the waiting time for Ultrasound Scan. Twice we went for scanning and we had to wait for couple of hours each time. This should be an easy fix and I am not sure why the GEM management couldn’t fix it yet. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the whole Gynecology team, ward management team and GEM hospital management for a wonderful support all along. I am sure, GEM would be on the best hospitals list when it comes for the minimally invasive surgery and treatment of any disease in organs of abdominal cavity.

Doctor's service was awesome and very much effective or me to recover from post surgery problems. Waiting time was too long for me and I felt uncomfortable to sit as I have undergone surgery last week. Patients' discomfort in sitting in a chair during Waiting time can be considered.

This my second review. Many have given a review of a worst service regarding cost and waiting time. I came here for treatment if adenomyosis utres. Every time I call the secretary, she would suggest me the best day and timings for my check up. Also almost every one needs to be scanned because all the departments are related to abdomen which needed to be treated only after a detailed scan and there is a huge waiting time. GEM always takes into account the paitents waiting time. Due to the reputation the crowd is getting more every day. Getting appointment is advised but many do not get appointment. When you say the nurse and assistants are behaving rude, you must realise how you behaved with them before they started to be rude. I did my hysterectomy there and my doc advised I would have pain for around three months due to the severity of my case.(obesity as main reason) It is two months today, I am perfectly alright and started to dance too.. Before my surgery the doc use to say we can get opinion from some other hospital if not satisfies. I have spent a lot to get treated. But know why I love GEM. No one has turned the face on me at any time.

I gone for piles problem. I have consulted with one North Indian doctor. He just simply checked and prescribed the medicines. Even he didn't say anything about diet and medicine dosage and all. Only few words. I ask gem hospital please don't recruit these type of doctors.

One of the very worst hospital for CT Scan. They make patients wait for more than 4 hours without food. No display to find where you’re in queue. Nobody will even tell you how much time it would take. Charging 10,000 for CT scan and they take their own time. You came for recovery and will be more sick with no food and waiting. Lot have changed in the years but queue in hospital has never changed and will not change unless they adapt the technology. Not only doctor time is valuable others can also do meaningful work. “Time is Gold” for everyone.

I'm not sure about the treatment here, because it was my first time. But when it comes to cleanliness, the worst hospital I have seen in Coimbatore.Totally disappointed!Had so much high hopes when I entered where they had all covid checkups ans stuff. But being the speciality hospital for gastroenterology, the washrooms should have been clean.. isn't it the basic and most important?? There was water all over the place.. outside and inside the washrooms. Complained as many times as I could. But still it was getting worse by EOD, no one really cared. And coming to the endoscopy department. Having seen this pandemic spread like anything, shouldn't the hygiene be considered in first priority?? They had this solution to gargle before endoscopy, which was in an aquafina bottle with two caps, the tissue papers below were full of solutions 🤢 and no staff really cared to wash the cap before asking the patient to gargle. I myself washed the cap. Aren't the aquafina bottles single use plastics and filling the solution is good?? Car parking - this isn't a newly established hospital, it's been more than two decades and for god's sake can the car parking facilities be improved 😭.Had to park my car far away from the hospital, somewhere on the road. Such a small parking lot it was.! Only best thing was , maks were made mandatory🙂 I request the Administration to step in and take some necessary actions as soon as possible.

The internal setting of the hospital is so warming and helps reduce anxiety before procedures. The doctor that attended my grand mother was very patient and helped her throughout. She's now doing fine and even the occasional post op visits are going great.

Excellent Service by Doctors and very kind approach by Sisters. Please find a systematic solutions for waiting patients( minimum 2 to 3 hours).Another point is Doctors writing patients issues and medicines in the file wherever blank area available in the sheet. Filing are not date wise arranged. Doctors every time search the previous visit details which is not a systematic method.

Excellent service. All the Nurses and sisters are very humble. Properly diagnosed. Especially Dr. Saravanakumar treated the patients is so great. I am very m7ch gratitude to GEM. Nominal fee and minimal medicine. Everything is too good.

GEM hospital is really GEM.. Doctors, Nurses & Staffs are excellent. They are treating the patients very softly and gentle manner. All the services are extremely good and maintaining very well. Doctors are patient friendly and responding very politely. Follow-ups are very good by Staffs, Nurses & Doctors. Even pre-surgery, the process has explained very well and clear all the doubts which was raised by me. Providing foods to patients with diet is too good for their health. Patients are getting discharged on time and not insisting to stay unnecessarily. Charges are normal. Overall, we were vey much satisfied.

I took my mother-in-law to Dr.sai Darshini, the care she gave, no words to express. Very friendly and loving. Felt like she was like a family member, hope all the doctors treat their patients the same. Will definitely refer her to my circle. Thank you so much doctor.

Great hospitality and kind doctors . I went here for my father's gal bladder treatment. Admission was done with ease. From admission to discharge everything was fine except parking which is newly built. (tendered and they were bribing for car token ). Dining for an outpatient is not advisable as the canteens are cramped in a small place.

I had gallbladder removal surgery on 16th March 2023 in Gem Hospital, Coimbatore. Even though I am diabetic and has high BP, I started walking on the same day. I started doing my routine work from 4th day after operation. Very clean room, very kind staff and I appreciate the help and care after surgery.

From my experience, this is the best hospital for endogynaecology.I was suffering from endometriosis. Thankfully, I went to GEM hospital, where Dr.Kavitha yogini mam and her team provided me with the best care imaginable. Their manner of speaking and dealing with patients was quite outstanding.I never expected such a response from the doctors; they were so humble and friendly to me, and it gave me faith that I could easily conquer my difficulty. They reacted quickly and perfectly anytime we had questions. Without hesitation, I would recommend the greatest hospital for diagnostics and surgery to everyone who asks.

Came to the hospital at 9:30 after a 2-3 hour journey just to wait for 5 hours to get mediocre service,plus the nurses need to go for English classes as they cant pronounce a simple name. And now at the pharmacy the person at the cash counter was missing, i see the camera too so u can check the footage for proof. Even with the abundance of staff if they are so late and lazy, i feel they play with people's lives.

My sister got admitted for emergency operation on Gem hospital . She just gave birth her baby boy a week ago . There has been maintenance work going on. They had given the room on this condition. That was a terrible experience for us. Sister and her baby suffered a lot due to the dust.

Had a really good experience at GEM today esp Dr. Khan and Dr. Palanivelu for a second opinion.both of them were sharp and very kind, didn’t push for unnecessary tests. I’m from U.S the same consult would have taken months, with exams and lab work additional time. But things moved pretty fast here and they were very thorough in the review, examined me and gave an opinion pretty quickly for a very fair charge. The nurses, supporting staff were also very kind. Kudos to PR Ananda Kumar as well, who checked on us a few times and ensured a smooth experience. I highly recommend GEM hospital, be it second opinion or full treatment itself as I’ve heard great things about this place. My Dr in US herself recommended Dr. Palanivelu.

Dr. Santosh is telling us to take Endoscopy and other related/unrelated blood tests costing around Rs. 5000/- for scrutiny the following day. But the next day, he is not there, and on enquiry his Secretary tells us that he is on rounds and won't see the outpatients that day. In such case why should the Doctor ask us to come with the report the next day? ? ? ? . When the patient was in dire state of pain, he is not there. His deputy didn't even see the reports thoroughly, didn't have a proper interaction with the patient but gave a name sake prescrition. Their desired amount had come into their account, patient's health is immaterial. I will never again visit Dull Gem.

Very worst service. Made the patient to wait for a very long time. After they said Dr. S.RajaPandiyan went.Attended by PG.Not even touched the patient. Simply wrote costly investigation orders.Secretary Priya simply waste.We requested to change the urine tube. Not even one nurse attended the patient.For study purposes they are utilising the patient.

We went to GEM hospital for my mom's uterus laparoscopic surgery. From bottom of my heart, I would like to thank Dr Kavitha Yogini mam (Endo Gynaecologist) for providing excellent treatment.
