A beautiful temple around 14 kms from the city and railways station It’s surrounded by lush greenery and mountains The construction and structure is amazing For those reaching Coimbatore by train can catch 1c bus to vadavalli stop and from there another bus to the temple Approach to temple is of two ways One by stairs and another by bus, or if you have your own vehicle then you can drive up For those want to enjoy nature can go climbing The stairs are well placed with some places almost level It’s not very difficult and takes around 30-45mins depending on your pace There are many places where you can sit and relax, also many people selling fruits which you can have You can enjoy the scenic beauty as you climb the stairs The climb has to be made barefooted The temple itself is beautiful And there is a queue system for the darshan which is quick The deities of the different gods are beautiful You also get a beautiful view of the city A calm, serene place with a combination of devotion and peace If you’re in Coimbatore do visit this place

Uncontrollable traffic jam. As there is very little parking space in the hills, increasing the number of buses and private vehicles can reduce and prevent the ascent on special days.

I had the pleasure of visiting Marudhamalai Temple last Sunday, and I must say it was an incredibly divine experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt a strong sense of positive energy and good vibes. The temple's serene and peaceful environment made me feel at ease and helped me connect with my spiritual side. The architecture and design of the temple were breathtaking, and I particularly loved the intricate carvings and decorations. Overall, my visit to Marudhamalai Temple was a truly memorable and fulfilling experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spiritual retreat.

Great temple. It's recommended to visit during weekdays as it's really rushed on weekends. Also the waiting time for parking is over 2-3 hours, so be prepared for that.

The best devotional location in Coimbatore. Lord Murugan's historical place. The temple is located at Maruthamalai in Coimbatore district. The presiding deity of the temple is Marudhamalai who is worshiped as Dhanduthapani. Marudhamalai temple was built by Tamil kings during 12th century AD. The temple is situated at an altitude of 600 feet on a hill called Marudha Malai. There are many water bodies around this temple like Snake Charmer's Waterfall, Maruda Theertham, some of which are known to have medicinal properties. There is a staircase at the southern end of the temple which takes you to the Pambatti Siddhar Cave. A connecting tunnel that leads from the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Murugan to the cave of Siddhar was built by Siddhar. It is believed that this place was used to worship the Lord.

A very important Sri Subramaniya Swami temple. Along with Kumarakovil Ettukudi Sikkal and Engan considered one of the traditionally main lord murugan temples , only arupadaiveedus are superior lord murugans temples to these . It is on a hill like most Lord Murugan temples with few steps/stairs to climb. There is bus service to the temple from Coimbatore. And a temple bus from bus stop. The temple is in the outskirts of the city. Time 7am to 8pm.it also one of the oldest temples in tamilnadu. Now built a new endurance. The bus service is provided by the temple. So you may go by steps or bus. Rs 10 charged for two-wheelers to go the top. And for wheelers also allowed. And parking has large area and free.
