Most beautiful temple located on a hill with fulm of wild elephants... Aranganathar idol here is really beautiful and gives good vibrarion. Must visit place for a bliss full experience. And the hill road very steep and some place have narrow and hairpin bends so of you are a begineer in hill driving better have a co-driver who can drive in hills.. a small balance miss or out of control can lead to worse experience.. very calm roads to the temple and the temple also will be so calm and maintained neatly.there is a small govt. Bus available from the down hill to top and also pvt. jeeps available for pickup and drop. Temple has good parking space around the temple. A Must visit place for both who loves to visit temple and who loves to drive on hill roads.

Visited the temple recently during evening time. Situated in a hill where you need to drive a few steep small hair pin bends consecutively in a narrow road. The hairpin bends are challenging and can move the vehicle in the first gear mostly. The way to the Hill temple is green and like a jungle trip. Both sides with trees. Once you reach the top, vehicles can be parked anywhere around the temple. The temple is neatly maintained. Gives old looks outside, but inside, it is good. A small shop is there to buy pooja items. Flower vendors were also there. Overall, it was a good visit to the Hill and to the temple. Evening time will be pleasant. The sunset and views are good from the top. You need to get down before dark if you are new to the place. Please visit this temple for peaceful worship and also donate whatever you can.

Nice exotic hill spot where this temple is situated, you can add this place as weekend spot just 20kms from Coimbatore. Opposite to the temple there is a off road to enjoy the scenic beauty and have a good time with your family. Sometimes you can see Army people camps near the temple. Overall a peaceful place to visit.

Palamalai Aranganathar Temple is located in top hills of Palamalai, 4KMs from the ground. We can see the People around this place are Trekking, cycling, etc. We can drive a car uphill and it is a good experience as there are around 7 bends and 7 steep roads to uphill. Who like off roading & hill driving will enjoy it. Ample parking space for cars and bikes for free near temple. Toilets available but need proper maintenance as no water available in toilets. However, there is a hand wash area available near temple and it is maintaining properly. Temple is good and very silent, good devotional place.

The location of the temple is on a hillock in the midst of forest. The drive up hill and the short trek in the forest to the temple pond was great. The temple was full of positive vibes, so also the temple of The Siddhar nearby. A must visit

The temple is in an absolute remote place surrounded mountains a d greenery. A very calm and quiet place. The temple is small, neat, and peaceful. The ghat road is narrow and single lane. In some places, the road is pretty steep with multiple hairpin bends and in some stretches, the road surface is bad. There are no shops near the temple or on the approach road. Advisable to have enough water and snacks.

Apart from temple, it's a good place for a nature lover too. You can easily spend half a day here. I've heard that you can hike too. Be prepared for a few hairpin bends if you are planning to go via road.

The temple is located at the top of the hill and can be reached either by trekking or via road. During auspicious occasions like Margali Saturdays and Ekadashi, the trekking trail is usually crowded with devotees, but on other days it can be quite empty. However, I must note that trekking during the off-season can be risky as the trail falls under a reserved forest area. The temple is well-maintained and offers Anna dhanam on certain days. There are also a few shops where you can grab tea, coffee, and biscuits. But what really stood out to me was the breathtaking view from the temple's viewpoint. It was so calm and serene, and the scenery was simply beautiful. Overall, I had a great time at the Palamalai hill temple and would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a peaceful and scenic place to visit.

One of the best mountain temple in Coimbatore locality. Very clam and peaceful place for praying. You can get good vibes here. 10 kms from periyanayakenpalayam. Roads are very steep and drive carefully. Before sunset kindly get down from temple because it is located in reserve forest area.

Best time to visit the temple is during monsoon mornings. The mountains are just so pleasant and majesticaly posing for your photos. The temple is open from 7am to 6pm on all days. Annadhaanam happens for 200 people everyday at 1.30pm. Never miss visiting this place if you are in Coimbatore.

Visited this temple on January 15, during the Pongal holidays. It is located on a beautiful hillside surrounded by the Western Ghats. The hairpin bends in the road are challenging, so drive carefully. This temple is very compact, clean, and well-maintained, with a spacious parking area around it. There are no commercial shops nearby the temple, but small shops are available to buy Pooja items. A must-visit hill temple in Coimbatore.

Scenic temple in outskirts of Coimbatore… quite steep hill to claim but worth for view from top hill… we could see elephant droppings so recommend to come down before sunset to avoid any risk of elephant encounters.

Visited this hilly place for 4-5 hours with my family to experience a few Airbin bends, chill climate, and see the beauty of Palamai (the western ghats mountain ranges). Luckily, we collected a few 🦚 🪶 on the roadside and visited pond.

Temple is located at Palamalai. The road to this hill is not good when we visited during December 2023. If you are travelling by own cars or bikes, pls be aware that there are 3 steep bends back to back where we need to be careful. But once you reach the place, it is less crowded but wonderful temple to visit.

Beautiful huge hill temple. If you are planning to go by car go only in the morning. We visited in the evening and the roads were bit challenging. Narrow and steep challenging curves. Since this is a forest area you have fear of elephants crossing your path so plan only during day light and enjoy this place. Awesome experience in visiting this place.

One of the best and old perumal hill temple. The hill ride is tough due to very narrow road and very dangerous hairpin bends, very difficult to give side for another vehicle. Very thrilling ride. The temple are well maintained and so clean. We feel more calm and satisfied while at temple. Very greeny Ambience .

Away from the city rush, this temple has a pleasant ambience. The best part is the route taken to reach the temple. You need to be cautious as the roads are narrow and it's a place where elephants often roam around.

A beautiful temple located in a beautiful location. Its a steep hill and drive is very thrilled. Not for newbie drivers. Lord is swayabu and temple is clean and peaceful. Temple has seperate sannidhi for Thayar, Chakarathazhwar, Dhanvantari, Azhwars, Dasavatharam and Udayavar. Nature view is very beautiful. Apart from temple the places are under forest department and it's adviced not to wander around unnecessarily.

The temple is located in Western Ghats .. The temple is completely divine and lonely in the hill. It is a steep hill drive.. Only experienced drivers can handle such steep and sharp turns one after another in a very narrow road.. Better to take your hatchback type instead of Sedan or Suv type vehicle when it is first time for you..The hill is populated with lots of Elephants which you cannot see by day time.. Avoid travelling after 7 pm. Enjoy the darshan.

Located in the western ghats. The Perumaal temple is located on the hill top.Roads are not bad it's an awesome drive uphill ( prefer SUV). Government bus also available from periyanaichipalayam. Temple is neat and clean , the priests are also very kind to explain you the history of the temple. The divine feeling of the temple expands to its surroundings as well. The hills have elephants which can be seen in the evening. U must be back before dark as it's a forest reserve area. Best time to visit during Monsoon. Must go if you are in Coimbatore or nearby .

It’s a place for peace loving, meditation loving persons. Quiet place, good location for meditation. Care takers are helpful. The speciality is the temple tank (theppakulam) about 500 meters away downhill. The approach was laid with stones paved evenly. Must see.

Amazing temple to visit. The scenery and the environment everything gives us mesmerizing effect. The road is a bit challenging due to hairpin bends, but otherwise everything is really good. Must visit between 10 am and 5pm to avoid meeting elephants.

Good sight seeing, nice temple, but before reaching there make sure you have money in your pocket not in the account...means there is no proper network and the small shops don't have gpay or phone pe service they ask for only cash. Roads are inclined so make sure you know perfect driving.

A great place to visit. Located in the Western Ghats at around 25KM from Ghandhipuram. From Saravanampatti, it is about 18KM. The temple is located at around 400Mts from above sea level. Very adventurous driving spot and the narrow road is not wide but too steep.

Aranganathar temple is like adventures trip to climp mountain. Govt Bus is also available to reach temple from periyanaickenpalayam. Routes are good but should maintain the roads so that it will be easy for the ppl to climb the hills without fear. The view point after reaching the top hills very beautiful. Temple is maintained very neatly and priests are also very kind to explain about the temples history. Peaceful place to meditate in sidthar samathi

  • 5/5 Nikhil S. 1 year ago on Google
Nicely maintained temple, approach road has many hairpin bends which gives additional fun for worshippers. Hilly terrain worshippers traveling by vehicles need to be cautious.

The Perumaal temple is located on the hill top. It's a reserved forest Area. You'll feel refreshed on top of mountain. Water is available, but the food you may have to carry by yourself. Temple is neat and clean , the priests are also very kind to explain you the history of the temple. ❗ It's not safe by walk even during day hours(🐘 jaywalking area🐘), foresters are responsible for your life. So don't make their job stressful.❗ Government bus available from periyanaickenpalayam. If not come to Govanur from Gandhipuram Bus stand. You'll get jeep from Govanur. The price might change according to the situation.

Wonderful temple. Elevation is good for trekking. But it's an elephant zone. So pls don't disturb the wild animals. It's actually their home and we r the trespassers. Just enjoy nature and let that remain forever for our future generations. We used to visit once every month. Do visit if u r a fitness freak. Goodluck
