Nice location. Water level can cary between seasons. It's good from July to October. Then water level reduces. Clear water. Nice place for a dip. Very cold water. This place can only be accessed after hiking of 4 kms uphill .

Need to walk some kilometers to reach this waterfall. It is very beautiful. Please be careful here and not cause any accidents. The attack of leeches is very high here. It is also the place of wild elephant. Strictly follow the instructions of the forest rangers. Please do not leave waste here. Try to make this place plastic free. There is a bus service from Palakkad to Dhoni. Don't expect to be let into the jungle once you get here. Forest guards will only allow entry if the conditions are favorable.

Had a great day trekking here. They have two batches every day except Monday. First batch 10.30 am and second batch 1.30 pm. Children above 10 years and adults have to pay 120 per head. You have ample space to park your vehicle near the entry point. From there, after buying tickets, a guide will take you to the waterfalls. Its a 4km walk to waterfalls. The path is paved with small stones and concrete in some area. Not suitable for small kids. It will take approx 1 hour to reach the waterfalls. Highly recommend if you love nature

Really nice experience, if you are ready to walk around 8km in total. We went with 5 and 10 year old kids with out any issue. Forest guard who assisted us all the way was really helpful. Since water is less now, we could walk in the stream.

This place is great for a weekend hike. You need to get a ticket from the counter for 120 ₹. The hike happens as batches, one at 10:30AM and the other starts at 1:30PM. It's 8km in total to and fro to trek. There will be a guide & two dogs accompanying you during the hike. Carry water and snacks if needed. Please don't throw plastics in the forest. Note: Please call and confirm before visiting as they might be closed in-between days. Also go half an hour before the batch starts because if members in a batch go more than a certain number, they will close the gate and will only allow you to attend the next batch.

A nice destination to spent time with your family and friends.4 k.m hike to the waterfall.Hike is of Medium difficulty. Entry only at 9.30am and 1.30am. 120 per head is the entrance fee. Drinking water is not available and if you want you can drink the water from the stream over there. You can spend some time in the water if you want, keep necessary clothings and accessories for it.

The trek difficulty is simple. I felt it can be made interesting if they allow us to take the trail through the cuts between the woods, instead of guiding us along the paved road for the entire 4km oneside. It's always better to travel here during the monsoon or just after monsoon as you can get the better feel of the forest. The pricing of ₹120 seemed to be high for this trek, but then again there is nothing the office can do about it. There are two batches at 10 am and 1:30pm, so plan your travel accordingly. Have good enough parking space.

*4 km one way walk through forest *A thrilling experience *A forest guide accompanies the group *A group consists of 10-12 people * Duration 3 hrs up and down * A small waterfall, you are allowed to get down and enjoy a shower, if need be. *Two time slots available10.30 am and 1:30 pm * Kids Friendly trek *Stones, slippery, muddy pathways, make sure to wear comfortable footwear *Entry charges - Rs120 per person *Only disadvantage is there is no provision to get water or food in the vicinity. However a small tea shop at the top is in pipeline, it will be great to have a shop serving piping hot tea and snacks. * In case u arrive there between 10:30 to 1:30 and you are a group of 8 people they will arrange another tour for you. * Make sure to be with your tour guide all the time, a few guys from our group lost their way, and entered the prohibited area. This place is maintained by the Forest Department and you will be levied heavy fines for accessing the prohibited area. *Beware of wild animals and snakes, you can see sign boards everywhere *Spacious parking available *Very friendly Guides *Direct buses are available to Dhoni waterfalls, incase you opt fr public transport. Timings feasibility is not so great however, but there is direct bus available from Olavakkod.

4 km up and down walking through forest, provides cool and shady atmosphere, 3.25 km walking upward through paved roads in zig Zag manner, nice trekk but not impossible, about 3-4 stops would be needed by an avarage person, last 750 m is going downwards to waterfalls. Not a big high fall, a continuous stream of about 1km with shallow water, we could walk upstream, bathing is restricted as told at entrance, but no limitation at top ( we can bathe), not dangerous. Water is so cool and clean, can drink water ( most probably you will drink). Ticket pass is rs. 120 which I seem is over and even overrated, basic amenities like toilet and packaged drinking water is not available, single toilet service available at entrance is pathetic. The main reason to reduce the rating is these worse scenerio For me, walking so long and to reach fall is interesting and mindfulling, so I loved it, These type of streams are available at various other locations which are easily accessible. Note that you should carry atleast 1 bottle water ( you will badly need it despite how much fit you are). You can refill it athe top

During entry, they provide a barcoded wrist strap of paper as your identity of visitor. This bar code is then used when you purchase the tea or chocolates. They do offer the discount on reading the barcode for purchasing – 10 % or so. One can see the entire process of tea making through the glass window while walking through. It is really interesting! They explain various types of tea produced there and there qualities. Tea samples are offered for tasting.

Nice experience. Enjoyed a lot. We three people entered in second shift. Daily two times trekking are there. 1. At 10:45 am 2. At 1:30 pm We will be accompanied and guided by forest officials and the trekking fee is Rs 120 per person. We have to trek about more than 3 km enjoying natural beauty with trees, chirruping, etc. Finally, trekking will end at waterfalls where we cannot go into. Upon waterfalls, in offseason, we can go through the stream into little deep. There also we can enjoy small waterfalls and natural entertainers. It is super trek . Must go

Dhoni water fall is a beautiful place for nature walk, it is 4km up and 4 km down. Best time is to visit after monsoon so that you could enjoy the water fall.... The ticket price when I went is 120/ head. And the best part is the local guide and if u r lucky 2 dogs will escort you. It's a total best place to chill and have a good walk. One of the best place in Palakkad. But before going there make sure to call the authority first to avoid the risks.

The trekking experience was so lovely. It is one of the best spots in Palakkad. But the issue is we need to pay 120rs per head for this trekking. I don't know why we must bear this much as we are walking for around 8kms.

Another name of this factory is Dodabetta Tea Factory. It is govt approved tea factory. It is adjoining to Benchmark tea factory. The entrance is quite misleading as both the factories have same entrance. So be careful. Many reviews belonging to this profile are actually for Benchmark tea factory. Here we can see entire tea making process though there isn't any guided tour. Entry is free. We can also shop here various tea varieties. The brand name for the tea sold here is Homewood. There is a chocolate production unit too. Handmade chocolates and fudge varieties are awesome.

Amazing hike. It is not so steep and a pavement is cut throughout the journey. It is a 4 km hike. At the top there is a waterfall and a little above it there a spots where we can see smooth water flowing and cold fresh water. The guide told us it is best to come in August as the rain should have left but there will be water. The timing to enter is given as two batches one at 10:30AM and 01:30PM but i think in between they will allow the entry but after 01:30PM they will block of the entry. The entry fees is 120 per person. The hike is a very good interaction with the nature and everyone should try it but for elders they can make it but should take rest.

One of the best place to go for trekking inside the forest.. Road to falls filled with small stones, recommended to go with shoes.. Slot 1 : 10.30 am Slot 2: 1.30 pm Nature lovers can enjoy a lot.. It was drizzling and light pouring when we visited.. Due to safety reasons, bathing is not allowed.. there is a restriction in falls too! Go only for enjoying walking inside the forest to feel better!

Nice place. Easy hike of 4-5 kms in the woods. Gentle track. Motorable for jeeps of forest officials. Visitors need to hike up to the falls. There are two batches. One in the morning and one in the evening. You can only go in those batches. And forest officials will assist you. There is an entrance fee. The walk in the woods is really refreshing. It's an easy hike. But keep some water with you if you are walking in the summer months. It is 4-5 km up and 4-5 km down walk. And please keep the area clean.

A three-hour trek from the base of the Dhoni hills to the pristine beauty of nature and the lush green surroundings will rejuvenate your senses. The trekking starts at the foot of the hills near the Teak plantations. A narrow mountain way is there for four-wheel drives and bikes that lead up to the waterfall; however private vehicles are prohibited from traversing these roads. This 4 km long trekking trail through the lush green environs bestows one with a quiet isolated space to witness nature in its most tranquil form. This guided trek is best to start trekking early mornings, so more time can be spent in the company of the gorgeous waterfall. Waterfall is worth to watch only in the rainy season Trekking is more adventurous when we use the shortcuts

Eco friendly atmosphere. The jungle path way is really difficult to walk. It's 4km to walk one way. There are treck ways which are more difficult to climb than the usual path. After all the struggle will see the beautiful waterfall. When we reach the top it's cool breeze and the water is so cold. Per day 2 batches - 10:30am and 1:30pm

It's a nice place to hangout with friends. Lush green forest awaiting for you. A small waterfalls is ther in the peak point , which is around 4kms walk from the entry point . But distance won't be noticed if you are with friends. You can take drinking water or some snacks with you. On the way you won't get anything. A good spot for nature photography. There is a small river side by. You can take a bath there for fresh up. It will cool your heart and body. There are guards and guide available. Kindly don't put any plastic or wastes there. Also there are shortcut available. Please don't take it. Once we lost the way and we lost the way for around 30mins. The guard said that there was elephants there. But we were lucky. So be careful. #familyfriendly#

Easy trek and Fantastic place to reduce all our stress and relax our mind with friends and family. This place is totally disconnected from Palakad city. It will take 2.5hrs drive from Coimbatore to reach here, plan to start at earliest in morning. The highway drive in morning time will be really a memorable drive. There are lot of good hotels when we reach near Palakad to have Kerala special breakfast. Could park our vehicle in starting point it will be safe, there are forest ranger office and people will be always there. Need to get a ticket from Ranger office to go trek. IT is 4km trek and easy one only. But the special in this trek is the forest they maintains, It’ll be very dense and greenish. During drizzling time the walk in this forest will be most memorable trip. There will be a road for ranger officers vehicle to go, trek go on that road only, there will be a shortcuts but it’ll be bit tough for beginners to claim. Take some water along with you, definitely it’ll needed. At the top of hill could find the final spot Dhoni Falls, we could visit the falls but can not take bath in it. It is really a super photo point. Could relax there for an hour and take fresh air breath and relax all stress. Sometime forest rangers will be very strict and wont allow to stay longer there, should talk in polite with them. While returning to hill down there is a small river flow, that water is from that falls only. If rangers are not along with you, you could bath there. It will be very small river but water will be purest.

Its a beautiful place for those who like challenging themselves for trekking and enjoy the earth's real beauty. It's a 4kms(one way) trekking up the hill. A guide will be accompanying us, along the jungles. They have two main batches at 11am & 2pm. Need to buy tickets, which is quite nominal. As the uphill climb is tiring, it's often best to carry some water before you start trekking. Many small streams of Waterfalls can be seen though out the jungle. The flow of the waterfall varies as per season. A must go place in Palakkad.

(Translated by Google) ? * Dhoni Falls * ? Dhoni Waterfalls is a must visit place in Palakkad district. It is located about 5 km from Palakkad town. If you come in the rain, you can enjoy the beauty of the place. Entrance fee is Rs 100 per person. In general, this may seem overwhelming, but as you walk in, that perception changes. You can park in the entrance gate and walk 4 km to the jungle. One can enjoy the beauty of nature while walking along the stone steps. There are small ditches and a small stream of water parallel to the path. One thing to note is that this place is 100% plastic free. The way I walked, I didn't find a piece of plastic or paper. Its employees play a pivotal role in this. Therefore, those who go there should pay special attention to it. While climbing, we are told that there is a forest with elephants and tigers. Some say that they went there and saw the elephant. Dhoni village is located about 15 Kilometres from Palakkad town in Kerala and this place is famous for Dhoni Waterfall and the Western Ghat forests. This waterfall is a gem for tourists looking to spend a calm and leisurely day. This less known paradise is definitely a must visit place in Kerala. Despite the waterfall being rather small, the refreshingly beautiful surroundings create a hall of treasure for nature lovers and especially for those who enjoy trekking. It takes a three hours trek from the base of the Dhoni hills to reach this reserve forest area and to get an access to the waterfalls; Dhoni hills in Palakkad is also a popular picnic spot. Hence, you can spend a day near the waterfalls with an ongoing picnic celebration with family. You can also enjoy a trek up to the Dohni hills from where you can see lovely view of the waterfalls and its fresh breeze and clam environs can be felt as you gaze at the beauty of the Dhoni waterfalls. By climbing up the rocks, one can acknowledge the worth of visiting this beautiful destination and feel blessed seeing the wildernesses of Mother Nature.

(Translated by Google) The timing imposed by the Forest Department to take the entry pass inside was a very bad experience. 10:30 am If you board the first batch then wait until 1:30 pm to let the next batch in. (There was a time when I went free to the same place as a child) The behavior of the post officers at the gate was also very bad. They knew in person that they did not need anyone to come. The high rate is part of it though. You have to walk 4 km up and 4 km back for Rs 120. Although the views along the way may not be as good as expected, a walk through the jungle can be a great experience for first time visitors and a great opportunity to test your fitness. Upon reaching the top, one can also see a scenic waterfall. It is good particularly during monsoon ..Went on December.Trail is not natural .Paved roads doesn't look good inside a forest ,atleast for me . trekkers can take the short cut trails if the guide allows..That gives a trekking feel compared the pavedroad .After the falls if guide allows there is a stream and a trail to forest ..but we won't get much time there also ... Overall good for common people . Not for explorers and trekkers .For them it is a one time go.

Pristine. Calm. Quiet. Right in the middle of forest, guided by trained guards. Always listen to them while walking along the path. Sadly, area getting destroyed by heavy quarrying activities and recent land 'developments'. May not be a great place for times ahead, unless a miracle stops 'developments'.

(Translated by Google) Enjoyed the trip. The only way to reach the falls is by walking 4 km from the entrance. It is a three kilometer climb. The road is unpaved. The heat does not bother much at other times except in good summers. It is good to have water and food on hand to drink. Bathroom / toilet facilities are available only near the entrance. It would be better to go upstairs on the morning trip itself. After the monsoon season, when the water is a little less, there are facilities for bathing and so on. The main waterfall is a high risk area. Best time to go there is during the june-july months. They take people to forest as 2 batches one at 10.30AM and next at 1.30PM is the regular time. It may change as per the climate and situation. So its advisable to first call them and enquire the exact deatils and then go

The waterfall is nestled amidst lush green forests and offers a serene and picturesque setting. To reach the Dhoni Waterfalls, visitors usually have to trek through the forest for about a 4.5km. The trek is relatively easy and can be enjoyed by people of various fitness levels. Once you reach the waterfall, you can enjoy the breathtaking view and relax in the natural surroundings. The waterfall cascades down from a height of approximately 100 feet, creating a beautiful spectacle. It is recommended to visit during the monsoon season or just after, as the waterfall is at its full flow during that time. Time : There are two batches 1st-10:30am and 2nd-1:30pm. Ticket price : 120/AD

This is the bestttt place for trecking and for the one day trip... The hill climbing experience and the way is just amazing... Must visit place.. 2 batches allowed per day.. 1st batch 10:30 and the 2nd batch 1:30. It's very important to call and confirm them because of its heavy rain or some issues means they won't allow and it will be closed sometimes... I just loved this place very much ♥️♥️
