Beautiful, neat and clean lake situated in Yercaud. It has different boating options which include row boat, speed boat and paddle boats. You need to pay entry fees post which you need to pay for the boat ride. Amazing experience. Perfect location to spend quality time with family and friends. Must visit place in Yercaud. Lot of small shops around the lake. Also many hotels are located closeby. There's a nice lake park apne the lake.

A landscaped garden by the side of Yercaud lake. The garden is reasonably well-maintained, though visitors and tourists spread a lot of trash and make sure that the staff are kept busy.. The periphery of the lake has similarly been rendered dirty by visitors who throw plastic covers & paper tea cups into the water Many photoshoots are done here, and apparently a couple of movies too were shot here..

One of the better maintained lakes in Tamilnadu. They are trying to make it attractive. They've got pedal boats, row boats and motor boats. Pedal boats can be operated by tourists themselves for 30 minutes,there are 2 seater and 4 seater pedal boats. Motor boats caan be enjoyed for 10 minutes. It's mandatory to wear life jackets while on the boat. They've got a small refreshment stall near the boat house overlooking the lake. South Indian snacks and beverages of the variants of Tea & Coffee are available. It's a great relaxation after a boat ride. Good work TTDC!

This place is 52 Kilometre from Salem, Tamilnadu. You can get frequent buses from Salem new bus stand. Frist place to visit Yercaud is lake. We can do boating there. There are lot of options available, pedal boat, manual boat for 30 minutes ride. Weather is awesome in October and November. Salem to Yercaud you will get 20 hairpin bend, which fells you very excited.

1. Boating is always crowded, during govt holidays. No proper arrangements. 2. Good to go in bulk in a motor boat or row boat with assistance. If couples go for a pedal, to have a good time. 3. Lot of petty shops outside to get eatables, sovereign and all. 4. Descent car parking.

Rent a row boat, motor boat or just take the pedal one and have fun around the lake with views of the hills and just the sparkling water. We were here almost during sunset and it was just a pretty sight. Life jackets are mandatory which is good from a safety aspect especially for folks like me who don’t know swimming. The pricing though I felt is expensive

Nice place to visit many people in tamilnadu likes to visit only Ooty and Kodaikanal. But there is an another option that is Yercaud in Salem district such a nice place to visit it and the lake is the major point for yercaud's beauty.

Too crowded. Boat ride fares are not informatively displayed. I ended up buying an 8 seater ride for 3 people even though the board said it was a 4 seater boat. They promise a 10 minute ride but it did not last even 5 minutes. Best to avoid.

Yercaud- this place is called as Poor man's Ooty. Right said. Beautiful lake with awesome landscape and a park nearby. Boating an rowing both are available. However the cost is a bit expensive.

Loving this place mainly in weekdays because you will find silence in it and enjoy the way as it is . Never know how much time I just sat there and watched it . It becomes nee each time I visit

One of the Beautiful place to visit in Yercaud, Boating available here in this lake and prices are affordable only. 200rs for 4 person pedal boat for 30mins we used. Winter is the best time to visit. We took two passenger boats with the skipper. It was a 30min drive to round up the lake. The weather was very pleasant. Kids will enjoy it a lot. Yercaud lake is the centre of attraction for the city. It was just 4 minutes drive from my Hotel GRT. When we were driving to the lake we got confused about the entry for the boat house . If you are coming from GRT you will find it on the opposite side of the ooty chocolate factory a giant entrance will be there . You have to pay INR 30 for parking the car inside, actually I parked my car near the boat house entrance. We have to buy tickets for the entry to boat house area the ticket charges are as follows Adults: INR 10 per person Kid: INR 5 per person After going inside you have to select your boating options and buy the tickets, available options are as follows: 1- Motor boat: up to 8 person can sit here and it will cost INR 600 per 10 mins 2- pedal boat: INR 200 for 30 mins 3- Row boat: INR 20/ for 30 mins We took motor boat trip and it was fun

It’s scenic place no doubt - with best background you can ask for !! But pretty crowded on weekends . Parking - figure it out on your own. Option- for boating both peddle and motor boat available. Place is not that well maintained - for such a popular tourist spot

Beautiful Scenic lake. When we visited, there was no visibility due to mist everywhere. But we loved the atmosphere and weather 😍

A small Entry fee must be paid at the entrance. Then approach the booking counter inside to pay for boat. Motor boat is 600rs for just one round. Since the lake is relatively small, entire ride will be finished within just 5 mins. The driver would not stop/slowdown anywhere even for a second to enjoy the view unless you pay him extra. Better to take pedal boat which you can enjoy 30 mins. But young children are not allowed in pedal boat.

Worth visiting but be prepared to experience some cramps if you choose pedal boat, it is so tiring for 30mins but is very calming n fun!
