(Translated by Google) The story of the formation of Lakshmi Mills in Coimbatore Mr. G. Kuppusamy Naidu is responsible for the existence of hundreds of cotton mills around the Coimbatore district today. He was the first to open a ginning factory in Coimbatore in 1905 to extract cotton from cotton. Kuppusamy Naidu was born in 1884 in Baba Nayakkanpalayam near Coimbatore. Born into a farming family, his schooling was suddenly interrupted and he became involved in agriculture. At that time there was only one cotton mill in Coimbatore. Robert Staines, a white man, owned a coffee estate in Ooty. He was the first to open the Coimbatore Spinning and Weaving Mills Company in Coimbatore in 1888. Robert Stance's cotton needed a lot of cotton. He thought that if there were 'ginning' factories that would separate the cotton from the cotton, the work would be spared. Thus, Naidu, who wanted to do business, invited young people and encouraged them to set up a 'ginning' factory. Kuppusamy Naidu, who was very successful in agriculture at the time, looked around twice for the mill run by Robert Stains in Coimbatore. The desire to set up a mill like that just popped into his mind. Kuppusamy Naidu started the Naranpuram Ginning Factory in 1905 as a start. He had set up a model of running these machines by dragging the cows. Robert Staines came in person and told me that it would not work, so he fitted an oil-powered machine and operated a ginning bacterium. The machines of this ginning factory often broke down, causing production to decline. Every time I had to come to the Marshall Company in Chennai and buy parts for the machine. Kuppusamy Naidu thought that if he set up a four in the Pappanayakkan camp without talking, there would be no need to go to Chennai. As a result, he immediately opened a four there. Today, there are a lot of fours in the Pappanayakkan camp because Kuppusamy Naidu set up a four right then and there. Following the good profits of the Naranpuram Ginning Factory, he thought of opening an even larger panchayat. In 1910 he started the Lakshmi Mill in the name of his wife. Although initially it was a ginning factory, Kuppusamy had a dream to turn it into a large spinning mill later. Although he had the money to start the mill, he added five others as his associates. The mill required 100 bales of cotton per day (130 kg of unpeeled cotton). It's the world renowned Lakshmi Mills from Coimbatore which now turned into a shopping mall with few shops including Westside, Croma and Zudio from Tata. The ambience is awestruck and no one could say that it's a place here in India. The walls are like retro and it's well maintained with neat restrooms and parking lot !

The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited appears quite ordinary. While it may not stand out in terms of aesthetics, it likely offers standard services or products. While it may not be visually striking, it could still be a reliable choice for certain needs.

Poor inner road for walking and parking Not maintained well If u charge for car parking then provide us good road inside and places to walk properly. Lulu has made bad choice in Tamilnadu this place. I dint experience a great shopping at coimbatore when compared to abroad. Also Kerala was a good one. Well maintained and I loved Lulu real experience of what shopping means. Very poor electronics and china toys. Lulu means what I know is great ,big ,fabulous gadgets, eateries. Very poor food section, less people to serve orders. I dint go to eatery section since it was crowded and insufficient staff. Some sweet section were out of people to help and buy. Regretted for not buying traditional Arabian sweets. Really really need more products and more space. First move in Tamilnadu after lots of problems to start up in Tamilnadu.
