If you plan to visit Topslip, you must come here at 7 am then only you can see the feeding of the elephants. It's only for the first safari ride. Safari tickets are reasonable prices. Staffs are strict and polite. Food: Canteen is available, veg & non-veg. Restroom: Available and neat. (pay) 🎲 if you have luck you can see wild elephants, deer, bison and wild boar. ♥️

Best one day trip spot near coimbatore. Places like museum, bathrooms, etc are well maintained there. It's 70 kms (approx) from Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. No two wheelers are allowed inside the checkpost, only cars. Checkpost Ticket Rate Car - 50/- Per head - 30/- Camera - 50/- Video camera - 100/- (Only cash is allowed, no UPI payments) Jeep Safari rides are allowed in Topslip. Per head - 200/- 7kms inside forest area. No shops are available in Topslip. If you need to buy anything get before checkpost. Vehicles are allowed after 8AM. It's better to go by that time to enjoy climate.

Location very ideal, food options limited but very good. Only drawback is no facility to hang clothes in bathroom and room. Hot water is warm only. Staff very courteous. Hiking amidst nature and hilly terrain is very enjoyable. Tribal dance is really great.

Must watch!!! It's located 35 kms from Pollachi, only four wheelers allowed. Entry fee: 30 rs per person and 50 rs per car. Jeep Safari costs 3k, upto 8 persons allowed. While driving to topslip have seen couple of animals like bisons, monkeys, deers. Jeep Safari was wonderful they taken us to elephant camp. We seen elephant feeding at morning 8.30 We sight couple of animals like bison, monkeys, peacocks, elephant. Would suggest to go parambikulam as well, it's 13 km far from topslip.

We went for on a Saturday morning. Not much crowded at that time. We took the jeep to visit the elephant camp to see the feeding of the elephants. It cost us around 2500Rs. The drive to the camp was uneventful with only a few peacocks and a group of deers. The return journey was even more quick as we didn't spot any animals. They have a small canteen that serves dosas and poori..the taste is quite ok and reasonably priced.

One of the best places over the western ghats to spend your vacation and feel the cool climate. You can have wild life safari which might get you some animal spotting if you are lucky (very lucky I would say)! They've bus (₹250 per head) and open Jeep (₹3000 for 8 people) for safari. Preferable time to go by early morning (around 8) for animal spotting. You can also book rooms - via Tamilnadu Forest Dept website - at this location to stay overnight.

If you are going here, choose to stay and experience it fully. A nature friendly place and the food is decent too. No signal for any network besides bsnl but the quiet is worth it. Animal spotting is almost continuous

Adding a few photos. Spent a day in this place. Went to elephant reserve and saw a few elephants trained and having food on the evening. The place was cooler in December. Saw a few deer, elephants, peacocks, wild calf and wild boar. The hornbill rest house was clean and neat. Spend a day and next day try go to Parambikulam tiger reserve the next day.

Winter time is better. Please avoid jeep safari as it cost 600 per head but it doesn’t worth the amount. But if you are a couple want to spend some time in hill station. It’s a good place to visit

This is very thick forest and pleasant place. Rooms are available with forest department. Common people can book other available rooms like cital, bison house, bamboo house etc. charges from 3k to 5k per day without food. You can have you food at canteen located at entrance. lot of wildlife around these guest houses. Do not disturb them and litter these areas.

There's a safari to elephant camp either by bus (250 per head) or Jeep (375 per head), you can spot few elephants and deer on your way, and if you have luck you can spot wild bears and in the rarest case a tiger, the guide will show you different types of trees and their uses on the way to the elephant camp. Few tribes and their families are living close to the forest. A beautiful view is guaranteed in that elephant camp which can be reached only through safari from top slip. Tourist cars not allowed. It is advisable to carry cash everywhere. No ATMs, no network coverage.

Nice place to stay and enjoy the climate. Nothing much to see except the elephant /jungle safari. If you wanted to roam and spend time, this is not for you and this is a place for anyone who is looking for one day tour. For elephant safari/ jungle safari the timing is 7-2. Special jungle safari trip at 5pm for those who will be staying there for night, where they get chance to visit the elephant feeding camp.

I had been there yesterday i.e 23.10.2021 Nothing to see there I was allowed up tothe entrance of kerela border. Single narrow ghat road. They collect ₹ 50 per head and ₹50 for car entry fee. But they check the vehicles fully. Visitors are not allowed to take alcohol. Not a worth place for elderly people.

The experience was exciting. However we went at 3pm and the guard didn't allows to the top. After he enquired the officials they let us pass. The entry fee is less only. We have to go in our own car only. We just reached in time for the last safari ride. The safari ride is 250 per person but worth it. They take us to the elephant camp and back. Takes 2 hours. So by the time we came downhill it was 6. I would advise other to plan the trip before lunch.

It is a beauty in the edge of Tamilnadu. Govt officials are incharge of the space. The great thing was the elephant feeding area in which the locals demonstrate feeding elephants to the visitors. Local community people explain about the elephants like their own children which was great to listen to. It is important to interact with local community to understand their way of looking after the wild animals there. Otherwise, not a lot of wild animal sightings other than a few monkeys, pretty birds, peacocks and of course elephants.

Visited during a rainy day and the drive from pollachi to top slip was very fantastic. Very narrow roads and have a safari at the top which closes by 2 pm. Safari takes us to an elephant camp and the surrounding nature is just wow. A small canteen is available and hot food served during the rainy day was superb. A place not damaged by humans and definitely worth a visit.

The best topslip place I visited so far... Locals are heart of this place beauty. I wish our common people don't visit here often spoil this place. Anyways the forest department is very strict here though but which is for good sake of Elephants and the nature...

Topslip is near Pollachi. Forest check post is opened by 6am and closed by 6pm. Till Sethumadai it is plains and from sethumadai 12 kms is uphill forest route. If luck prevails you can sight wild animals. It belongs to Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Bison, Lepord, Tiger, Deer,Elephant are common habitat in this region. You can book rooms online and stay here. Food will be provided. No hotels and lodges available. It is Confined area of Forest belonging to Tamilnadu Forest Department.. Parambikulam ( Kerala) is near by. Masaniamman Temple is located at Anamalai on the way from Pollachi To Sethumadai. If you book for accommodation night stay is provided. Jungle jeep Ride is available at extra cost.

Excellent place to see wildlife. I have visited all wildlife sanctuaries in South India, this is probably the only place where you can spot leopards, tigers, Indian wild dogs, Gaur, Sambar, Sloth bear, flying squirrels... The Kerala side Perambikulam is much better in terms of stay and facilities etc. 4 stars because of poor facilities at Top Slip

Awesome place to visit in monsoon. It will be good for family. Kids will enjoy the place. We drove from Pollachi to topslip. It was an excellent drive with lot of greenery. But due to floods in Kerala they stopped safari ride and forest stay. Except that every thing was good. And the maintenance is also good. If we plan for safari ride we need to be there by 7am. I will plan again with family.

It is a wonderful place to visit during monsoon season because in summer the place will be green but low water available . Two wheeler strictly not allowed . Only traveller and cars allowed . Start from bottom of top slip go straight cross the Tamil Nadu border go in to Kerala . Go straight to the counter and get the tickets asap. For now it costs 200 pp . The place is called parambikulam tiger reserve do not get passes in Tamil Nadu because the forest safari will not be good as Kerala . Both Tamil Nadu and Kerala has resorts to stay which has to be booked months before. So when you visit Tamil Nadu please have a visit to topslip.

Elephant and Jeep Safari are available. But it's waste of time to visit the place during this summer. Was not able to see any animals. The whole forest area is dry and possibly they would have migrated to somewhere in search of food and water. 200 rs for Jeep Safari is charged and was total waste of money. Couldn't see even a monkey there. Hopefully it is better to visit to between July to January. Now the climate there is also very dry and hot. Even though cottages are provided by the Govt. there to stay, it fails to attract visitors due to the climate.

It was just ok. The roads are well maintained now but they are very small. So drive carefully. As soon as u reach the checkpost. You will make the payment and enter the forest and there is a small office in tamil nadu side which is for safari tickets. The toilets are not well maintained..there is a canteen inside which is the only hotel for food. The food is very good there in d canteen. If you further 2 kms from there towards the kerala border there u have safari for about 3 hrs to parambikulam forest and dam. It's hard to get the safari ticket on holiday and weekends. U have to wait very long.

The vehicle safari ends by 5pm here, in my view if you can go further 2kms you will reach parambikulam in kerala and their safari is longer (57km)and better to spend time. We could spot wild elephant with cub therr. Where as topslip was 8km safari and no sight of animals

Great place for a drive. Since we went in the mid day, chances of spotting wild life was low. The safari was good and the Forest Department service was also good.

Good place for wildlife animals. Very strictly maintained Both by Tamilnadu and Kerala forest departments. They are arranging forest Safari visit by their own vehicles. Bamboo cottages, treetop cottages are available for rent. No of water storage dams are situated in and around Topslip. There are cultural programs organised by the Local tribal peoples

If you are planning to stay book in advance... we stayed in bison house which was really clean and neat. Only safari is available now... we were lucky to see elephants, deer,bison.. and finally went to elephant camp. Ride on elephant is banned since lockdown.

The climate was awesome and so was the forest. We weren't able to see the tiger. But we saw a lot of other animals. But one thing is if you want to come here, come early or else book a stay and come. Because sometimes they won't allow you to go up. Only the minimum number of vehicles allowed per day.
