It's will a very good boating experience here in Yercaud lake. Motor boats, Rowing boats and Pedal boats are available here. But i think motor boats are best to experience a good adventurous boat riding. Life jackets are also given so safety is there. It's a awesome place to also take some amazing pictures here. But the maintenance of the lake is not so good. There are many weed plants here. So the full round for the boating is not possible but within the place they take us ride. They also charge 30 rupees for entering the lake area itself. This charges is other than boating charges. The toilets are also not so maintained well. And in weekend's there are more crowd. So be well prepared for it and wear masks so that you can safe guard you , your friends and your family members.

Emerald Lake is one of the main attractions of Yercaud and is located in the crowded part of the town. The surface of the water is a smooth green and thereby the name. It has a boathouse, from where one can take a pedal boat, a rowboat or a motorboat, depending on the size of your party. The view is pretty great from the middle of the lake as you can see the ranges of the Nilgiris all about you.

It’s a quite & beautiful place where breeze is always flowing around. You can spend some time here or you can go for boating as well. But here waiting time is around 30-45 mins & entry is closed at 6 PM but guard stops entry around 5:40 PM due to ongoing waiting.

Went to this place in 2017 (school trip). Absolutely loved this lake. Enjoyed with friends. Had fear of falling in lake, lol. The life saving jacket is broken and quality is poor. The central and main attraction of Yercaud is the lake. It is a small lake with boating facilities. This place has nothing much to offer, except for taking pictures of the natural surroundings. The boating is not worth it. Good to look from the outside. Entrance fee is collected to enter the lake park.

Multiple options including Motor Boat, Row Boat, Pedal Boat. 600₹ for 8 folks for Motor Boat. 150₹ for 3 folks for Row Boat. Tried both and both were fun! During monsoon or post monsoon the lake has more water hence they have different route for row boat. They accept only cash and take equal amount for deposit hence keep cash before visiting. Parking charge 50₹ and 10₹ for adult entry. Tea/Coffee/Snacks available outside lake area as well as inside. Horse Ride for kids as well near entry.

Boating on the lake is one of the main attractions in Yercaud. The lake was clean and well maintained. Note that boating ticket counters close at 5.30pm, so try to get your tickets before that. There wasn't much of a rush for the row boat rides. However, there was a queue for getting the motor boat and pedal boat. The row boat ride comprised of a loop around the lake which spanned 15 minutes. While purchasing tickets, they charge an amount as deposit which will be refunded at a separate counter after exiting the boat. In order to avoid losing out on the deposit amount, make sure that you get your ticket scanned by the boatman just before entering the boat and scanned again as soon as you get out of the boat. The entire process was managed well and ensured people didn't spend extra time boating in the lake. There were lovely lavender flowers that blossomed on the trees next to the lake. Definitely worth visiting for a great boating experience in the evenings during summers.

Had wonderful time with family and friends. Very well maintained and friendly staffs. Would have been better if they plan the refund process. Refund queue could be substantially reduced if they charge the deposit only for pedaling boats. Because motor boats and row boats are anyways guided by their staffs so they would complete the cycle on time whereas pedaling boats have the chances to exceed their time limits. Hope they take this into consideration

Very good property but only limited games.. Not a good place if you are looking for scooter n other games. The guy sitting in reception billing don't have much patience to explain about games, He never responds to any of our queries.. They have only very less games, but shown more games in their website. Since the games are less each game costs more. Average cost per game ranges from Rs.300 to Rs.400

Yercaud lake is in the middle of the town and tending to get very crowded during holidays and weekends. You can walk through the periphery of the lake as well. There is boating activity here. We sat in the motor boat which costs like 600 for 8 people. The ride is for few mins. There are parks as well. Better go in the early hours or on weekdays.

Awesome experience. We took a pedal boat for 150 rs for 30 minutes. Have to give additional 150rs as advance which is refundable. Boating in this lake is one of the main attractions of Yercaud. You can hire different types of boats such as pedal, rowboat, speedboat, etc.

Make sure you carry cash to pay for the tickets! As of Oct 2022 they still don't have any online payment modes available. As far as the lake goes, it's alright.. Worth a visit if you are in that place. They have paddle boats, motor boats and row boats. Row boats are the cleanest ones amongst them. They give you life jackets for the ride but it stinks bad. The water is not that clean but the weather and the view manage to draw your attention away!

We took the row boat out. It was a pleasant experience. However, the worker recommended a total of 30 min or full circle of the lake for additional money. He also expressed how low they get paid— payment per trip. It was good experience here. It is very close to yercaud center. If you are going for boating, just have a look at the crowd because you might have to wait for an hour for your turn. When you buy the tickets for boat ride, they add token number there and based on your token number your turn comes. If there is big difference in token running and your token, better you go outside and do something else. Or you can simply sit inside the premises and click photos.

This is a nice place to hang out but the anna park is much better if you have kids. The place has ticket for entry.

Located centrally in the yercaud. Pedal boating is good if you wanna spend some peaceful time. Mask is compulsory, but don't worry if others not wearing. They provide life jackets for everyone. They have boats starting from 2 people to large groups. It was fun to use that pedal boats, wondering which direction to move the handle to change the direction of the boat.

We went here on Friday and very very less crowd. We took the rowing boat and it was really a pleasant sail in the lake.

Very less places to Visit at Yercaud. This would the most recommended for Family and couples. Not for boys to have fun. Little costly with the boating prices and loads and loads of crowded during November 2021. We tried with the Motor boat for 8 ppl which has 10mins ride. But the guy just took us a ride for 5mins with one round and some rocking the boat to make some fun for crowd. #Little costly #we can try #kids will obviously enjoy One note: please maintain social distance and place was not clean a lot. Many crowded and people were not wearing masks too.

Wonderful place to spend a holiday. Just 29km from Salem. Fog appears around 12pm to cover the entire lake. Visibility is reduced to near zero which makes all the more enjoyable. You can choose pedal boat, row boat or motor boat. Once atop, plenty of steep and curvy roads to enjoy the drive. Excellent weather all-round the year.

Its a small hill when compared to Ooty or Kodaikanal. But its a lot more cleaner than those big hills and also lesser traffic in comparison. Overall it was a surreal experience .

Beautiful lake but again poorly maintained. The building is dangerous and looks like a potential disaster in making. Water was dripping from the roof after a rain and I don't know how safe it is near the entry and exit points. Lake was with weeds which needs to be cleaned as they are collecting a fee for entry and for boating. Why is that anything which Government owns does not look good in India? Why is this lethargic attitude of the government employees when it comes to their job? Is it that they are not paid well or is it because they are sure they will not lose their even if they do not perform in their job?

This lake has a boating place (boat house) and charges Rs. 50 per person I went in the time of 3:30 and the climate was awesome and the view of the mountains from there is marvellous. I highly recommend to visit this place if going to yercaud.

We took motor boat. Waiting period is almost 2 hours. Rs 600 for 8 members. Just they took us 1 round around the lake. It was a good ride. My kids enjoyed it. Could not try pedal boats as there was rush. Staffs in the ticket counter asked us to wait for 2 hours to issue ticket for pedal boat ride. Until we waited our turn, we took family photo in the studio near ticket counter. Each photo cost too much. But we can take it for lifetime memory. No toilet facility available. They charge Rs 30 for car parking. But no space at the parking lot. We need to park it along the road with risk. Any other vehicle can damage the parked vehicle.

We visited over the weekend. It has quite a good crowd. There are two options peddle boat and row boat. For two people we paid rs.150/- in cash for row boat for 20mins. Only cash accepted. Beautiful scenic view. Loved the experience.

Best place in yercaud to hang out and spend time with family. Off season is an option to spend quality time and with out hurry. Safety measures are good and take self boating to enjoy ride. Food options are not much and quality of food also not good. This to improve and concern team to ensure this. Go for it.

The lake layered with frost during peak hours of the day. There is no way for the sun to enter the scene. Absolutely dramatic, romantic sight.

Visited with family during Diwali leave and the climate was too good with full of mist and fog. Only Diesel boat was allowed and no Pedel, Rowing boat allowed. Construction works are going at entry points and inside it is maintained well, parking at roadside only but they charge 40Rs without bill 🥹.. Over all boat riding experience was good and enjoyed 😍

Nice boating place. Well planned and organised. Entry fee is there to just enter the premises. Boating fee is different. No wait for the motor boats. There are a lot of stalls inside the boating area for elders and kids to stop and have some snacks. There is also a small children play area attached for people to keep their children busy.

I had no problem at any place. No to very less waiting time. Clean lake and the surroundings. Price very reasonable and well maintained.

One of nice place to spend time with friends. In this place 3 type of boating they offer. 2 peddle boat, 4 peddle boat and 8 person motor boating. 30min timing for boating. When I visit we took 2 person peddle boat ×3 total cost come around 450.per boad 150.we need to pay advance amount 450, it's returnable. So totally we paid for boating 900. After boating they returned 450. This is boating cost but entry fee is separate adult ₹20 per person.
