Stayed for 4 nights but bad experience overall. Let me list out pros and cons. Cons: Rooms are designed in such a way, Air Conditioner cooling will not reach your bed, though it is kept at minimum temperature - Be sure to ask for table fan otherwise you will sweat inside your room. People are too slow to respond: Food ordered will reach you atleast latest by 1.5 to 2 hours. So, kindly order your lunch right after your lunch. Miss out orders: If you order lunch or dinner for room dining. They will definitely miss out one or two, will say you haven't ordered the missed menu items. No Resort-in Activities: We have done only swimming and walked to the beach. There is no other activities conducted/available at the resort, kids play area has zero maintenance with full of dust. If you are planning for honeymoon not to enjoy outside scenery, its there for you. Pros: Excellent food taste though it's expensive when you compare 4 star hotel. But remember not to go with hunger and ask for immediate supper. Cleanliness: Neat and clean resort maintenance. Will enjoy birds chirping and cranes sitting on the lawn.

Location was great but everything else that is required for a vacation - service, basic hospitality, etiquette and promise, is a big fat zero. We wanted a pet friendly resort to take our dogs to and something different. However, everything the sales guy promised is a lie. This is NOT a pet friendly resort. Pets are allowed but are bound by negative rules and owners are frowned upon. The food is very average for the prices (5 star rates). My cook makes better food back at home! I am writing this review after day 1 out of a 3 night . I don't even want to spend the remaining 2 nights here. Guys, please look at other places. If you want a pet friendly beach resort around here, try Dune.

Extremely poor service, badly maintained - No Hygiene, their staff does not know how to handle customer. I had a very bad experience, totally not worth the money you are paying. At this price you can go for a better resort. I was ill treated by their staff, they literally argued with me at the time of check out, demanded some random 3500 Rs for date change even though it was a genuine reason. Please don't go for this resort. You will regret, see the list of negative reviews they have. I feel I just wasted my hard earned money here.

Great location, close to the heritage sites. Beach front property. Room size is huge. I have never seen such huge swimming pool. But the resort has aged out. Every inch of it requires renovation and repair. Cleanliness is average. I feel it's not at par for they charge (10000/night for pool view cottage). Restaurant has variety of dishes but quite costly for its quality.

Impressive private beach property to enjoy with family and friends. Good ambiance, spacious- well furnished rooms, humongous pool, buggy on call, EV charging point! This place offers a whole lot of services, though it all comes at a price! It's very safe for all women travellers. The drawback is that none of the rooms have balconies. Housekeeping can still improve. Food service and front office are great! Tasty buffet spread. Weekends are crowded compared to weekdays.

The exteriors are very good. The location is fantastic right at the seashore. There's a nice big swimming pool with warm water. The restaurant is highly priced, but the quality of food was good. The rooms weren't well maintained, totally not worth the money paid. I would have given a 5 star if the rooms were good, neat and tidy.

If not for the terrible maintenance of the rooms, this would be a great property. They have let the rooms become very dated and the bathrooms are outright terrible. The air conditioning wasn't working, the TV channels didn't work. Took a while for the maintenance team to fix it. We had 2 rooms and both had issues. The grounds of the property are lovely and the location is great. The breakfast had a good spread. The swimming pool is big but missing a few tiles.

Good place to spend time with friends & family. 1. They have a private beach with security/supervisors all around the time to ensure the safety (not allowed to get into beach water after 7pm) 2. Beach is pretty clean and maintained well 3. Rooms are enough spacious but there was wood smell as the interior are designed in that way 4. Nice pool with safeguard (7am to 7pm) 5. Breakfast items are less but overall good

Best beach resort in Chennai at an affordable price. Swimming pool, vast landscaping and Private beach are the best in this resort. Really enjoyed the stay here. Staffs are polite and friendly. Definitely this place can be considered if you are looking for short stay.

Food is above average but the staff & their service is super. A big 👍 for the caring attitude & warmth we received. Rooms are big, spacious & clean with separate bath & clothes drying area. They have go cart to take you to the beach. I didn't observe any beach activities though. So no disturbance.....peaceful beach access & time with family

Great place to go for a vacation. Absolutely beautiful property. The private beach is maintained very well. Rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is sloppy, since the property had a lot of guests they were not equipped to handle large numbers. The restaurant food was amazing, very yummy but 1 star for the restaurant service. The AC was not working in the restaurant when we went and if the AC doesn't work in Chennai then you know what to expect. Overall great property and food but poor and slow customer service at the resort.

Website says its a 4-star hotel but it is definitely not. It doesn’t have single quality of a high class resort. The hotel rooms are bad, bathrooms not so cleaned, trash covers are not taken out from previous tenants. The restaurant was looking good but the disagreeable part is that there were cockroaches behind the buffet table where food is placed. We tried to play snookers after dinner but we didn’t find the balls and after asking the staff, they gave the balls but they said one is missing which means the table is not maintained at all. Overall, a very substandard hotel and poor maintenance for that cost. Need renovation. Not at all happy with the hotel selection.

Really good resort. 10/10 for service. Friendly and helpful. The ambiance is so good. The beach is one of the attraction points. There is a bar and swimming pool. Food was really good. There was a wide variety of options. One of the best choices for sure.

Nice property overall. Experience at the private beach was memorable. Well maintained lawn, garden and pool. But the same level of care could not be seen inside the room. A/C remote was not having displays, hence unable to keep desired temperature. Mosquitoes were abundant inside. Electric kettle was not clean.. Staff were courteous and the breakfast was good.

Would definitely come back again. The staffs are very very friendly, the infrastructure is very well maintained. The beach is very clean. The rooms and the service is awesome. The pool is great. The indoor play area was a hit. Taking away one star for the food. They have an elaborate breakfast buffet but most of the items unfortunately don't taste thaaat great. Out of around 20 items , I can pick and choose the 3 items that were good. The food for lunch and dinner was very tasty but the price is extremely high.

The ambience was so good.. we stayed in a beach facing suit. There was a golf ground in front of our room... The view was awesome...We had a porch which was covered with glass... excellent view from the porch.... The food was average and they did not give us much option because of covid situation...The service as okay.. since it was raining, all the orders were delayed The rooms were good... The beach was maintained well... My kids had great time in the beach.... I would recommend this place...

Pathetic service levels. We were not given intercom and neither the requests placed through mobile calls were answered promptly. Literally had to walk all the way to their restaurant to order food. For breakfast they didn't handle their guests properly and didn't even place water bottles and tissue papers on the tables. Extra toiletries were sent after one hour of placing the order.

We went for a day trip for one day. the resort is very nice. we had lunch and evening tea there, the food is good and yummy. They have a huge swimming pool which was clean and the beach area is also clean, we had a lot of fun at the beach water is so clean. The resort is good for family outings although the changing room is not much clean. If you are a beach person and want to have a good time you can think about this place. Battery cart service to roam around the property.

Very nice & well maintained place. Friendly and supportive staff. If you need privacy you could opt for cottage rooms. My 10 year old kid enjoyed the beach, pool and indoor games. One downside I felt is the food doesn't justify the price hence the 4 star rating.

The place is nice and cottages are well maintained. But the food quality needs to be improved. The breakfast Buffett was bland and limited. The access to Beach and Gardens were nice. The resort can make some effort to be friendly to guests and provide little extra.

It was a nice place in Mahabalipuram especially for a team outing from Chennai. The place was mostly maintained well. It got a private beach, lot of outdoor and indoor sports activities. The food was overall good not that great, only the breakfast got good variety. The major downfall was the staff behaviour when we requested an extra bed for room, which they were promised earlier. The manager should take care of such incidents, it will dent the image of the resort.

One of the best beach resort. Property spread across wide area just front of the beach. Sunrise view from this beach property is a great experience. Pool is well maintained and feels relaxing at pool side and enjoyed the swimming. Pool is big and divided in three parts for kids teenager n youg all can enjoy most Morning breakfast is awesome with all traditional south Indian dishes served as well as others dishes too. We planned a one night stay at this resort and the room had enough space for 4 people while we were a group of three. The place while it comes with a big price tag, and has a lot of "amenities" to show for it, is unfortunately poorly maintained. The room had a dirty mirror, dirty towels, broken tiles in the bathroom and not enough lights. The highlight was probably that the deluxe "garden view" room was basically a room that overlooked the parking. Too shabby for 10k a night. We also had the AC vent dripping water right above the western closet. After multiple calls and requests, nothing much was done. We'd requested an extra glass and a coffee mug and we never got it for the stay after asking for it more than once. Yes, the place has access to an amazing private beach, and that's where we had most fun. The staff at the restaurant were also very nice, sweet and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and whatever we tried was tasty! But if one's willing to spend 10k a night, you might as well shell out a little more and go somewhere else.

Great ambience. Good pool. Pretty vast beachside property with ample cottages. While booking I had asked for a king, but was offered a room with two queens instead, making it tough for our stay with a 1yo baby. But considering it was a queen and not a double bed, it was definitely manageable. And the food is definitely average. The dinner buffet did not have a good vegetarian variety and the taste was also so-so. But otherwise, great ambience and near perfect for a getaway, considering the prices and the quality offered.

Location Far from the hustle and bustle of the city life we lead , this resort is a humble get away in the stone Town surrounded by places that sing glory about our history. The rooms: Neat, royal, elegant with wood work with great maintenance. Cleanliness: They clean up regularly. Food: They have a restaurant that serves delicious food.. to serve such delicious food it takes time so go there with enough time to get being hungry to dig into the sumptuous food. Breakfast: Buffet - varieties are good. lunch & dinner A la carte Swimming pool: very clean and huge- must have swimming dress to enter the pool. Must haves: Disposable bags to carry back wet clothes home as we cannot dry it easily if we are staying in rooms rather than cottages. The staff are very courteous and prompt. Every good things take time to happen... So have patience as you wait for in room service The Beach: To reach the beach is a long walk so ask for a golf cart ride. Carry a beach blanket to laze around and watch the clear blue sea

For the kind of price they are charging and the rooms being offered, I would say it's not that worthy.! The rooms were quite nice but the washroom, god it felt as if I am in a lodge or something. One small request to the management is to focus more on the improvement of the toilets that you are providing in your sea view rooms. It is just not worth it, dark dull shabby and untidy. One positive side is the the staff and the management is really cooperative and kind.

One of the best family friendly resorts at Chennai outskirts. I had a very good stay with my parents and daughter. Facilities at the resort are good, though the rooms look a bit older, though cleanliness is excellent. The restaurant deserves a special mention with lots of vegetarian options and special thanks for Mr.Sumit for accommodating my senior parents' dietary requirements and courteous service.

The suite we stayed was spacious. Bathrooms were smelly. Could've been maintained better. Food was not good. The dishes we ordered had almost the same base. Breakfast buffet was just OK.

A huge spacial resort, nice infrastructure but maintenance was not upto the mark. We had buffet lunch. Menu was good but the taste is less spicy few veg recipes are sweet in taste. Need to improve on the taste and maintenance.

Great place for mass get together socials. We enjoyed their outdoor games and event manager who engaged us very well. I suggest for corporate get together and socials

I took a cottage. They had open bath at the back of cottage but the area was full of dirty and smelly water. Unknowingly, I opened the bathroom door and when I closed it back, all the dirty water came inside the bathroom. They have a nice property with good location. If they maintain it properly, it will be good.seems like they has shortage of staff. I would eecommend it only as the last option.

Amazed to see such a huge lovely resort in Mababhalipuram. Will surely visit again for a longer stay. The place was clean and spacious. This resort has a huge swimming pool, golf and round the clock visit to the beach.

Location is lovely with full access to a private beach. Room was spacious and classy. I caught cold due to overhead AC placement in the room. The resort has several sports options and a beautiful swimming pool in addition to golf course. Food could be better: spring roll was soggy and the preparation took more time than we imagined. Wifi was good.

This is located in the out skirts of Mahabalipuram… The food served in this resort is avg… Dinner by beach side is under renovation at the moment… I guess it would take a couple of months… They have a vast land… one can enjoy the access to pvt beach as there’s no crowd… The cottage wasn’t tidy enough

Excellent ambience, pristine beach and sands, lot of privacy,awesome Locale and commendable Staff, appreciable Service. But compared to the Pricing, Management has to improve the Room Facilities, especially the poor room-lighting, noisy Coolers, lack of hot water availability and General neatness around. More Convenient movement between places needs to be provided to Customers, especially in keeping with the type of Functions that extend over Evenings or begin at Dawn. Overall, recommended for Destination Events

Incredible resort for a day outing experience. Games and obstacle course were nicely organized for a unique experience. The buffet was delicious. The pool was huge and well maintained. The private beach access was a great feature.

The rooms need maintenance and cleaning. Previous occupants food was left lying around the room.. there were 2 incidences of hair found in food.. tv was not working half the time. Same problem with AC.. we spent quite some time following up with reception to get things resolved.. not expected for the amount being spent... Do not order any paneer related dishes, they simply do not know how to prepare it, was hard, dry and tasteless.. this was my second visit and they have managed to go from a lovely place to 'place to forget'.. beach and swimming pool are the only high point of the whole stay..

Room was neat and clean, but room service was almost not there. You need to call 3 times and then go to reception and ask to get it done. Food is below average. Biryani was like oiled fried rice, even server was confused on what it's. Rice used was very sub standard. Again service was huge problem. Multiple reminders, personally go to kitchen and all. Given the price point, totally not acceptable.

We stayed there from 23 Dec 2021 to 26th Dec. They charged us compulsory Christmas eve party amount though we were not interested. We had one senior citizen, 4 adults, 2 adults kids and two children. They charged 21500. They said drinks are unlimited. But gave no beer no wine. Only beer mixed with sprite and wine mixed with juice. Food to was not great. Not worth. So request others to avoid booking during Christmas eve and new years.

Booked for 2 nights,checked in around 8pm and immediately after 1hour requested the receptionist to kindly make arrangements to change our rooms or cancel our stay for the second night,but she was not able to do so...this places is not what you see in the website CONS 1)We booked a standard room...which was triangular shaped with a garbage view,there is a wooden door connected with the next room...all talks,noises ,alcohol smell from the neighbour's room can be heard crystal clear and felt...we could sleep only after 2 am !!!...so if you are alloted these corner rooms please get your bookings cancelled 2)Mosquito menace is very much there...so carry mosquito repellents 3)The bathroom is stinky and the tiles on the walls have not been cleaned. 4)CAB (covid appropriate behaviour) was definitely not upto the mark...when we checked in I did not see any of the staffs wearing mask!!!...most of them just wore a badge stating...I AM VACCINATED...However the next morning, I saw/heard the manager instructing the staffs about wearing mask. 5)Breakfast layout was just average 6)The beach and the swimming pool are also just average....nothing like what is shown in their website 7)The resort has no place/balcony to hang and dry your swimming costumes/beach wear,except the bathroom...so think before you get wet. PROS 1)The manager was thoughtful enough to hear out our problems, and helped us in canceling our reservation for the second night....we shifted to Radisson Blu and had a very pleasant stay.... tjthe smell of alcohol from the next room

Good beach resort.. More lights should be install near beach villa.. Complementary morning breakfast is good. Buffet only 1 starter is not enough for that price.

We stayed in Garden view room as well as sea view room. comparatively the sea view room is more spacious. The so called garden view room has the view of parking space. The rooms were neat and clean. They have a private beach which we can access at any time. But they wont allow you to enter the water at late night when the sea is rough. A security person will be always there in the beach. the property is so vast . huge golf course is there. You can try may out door activities in the beach such as volley ball or beach ball. The swimming pool is open from 7am to 7pm . The location is really great. All the monuments are within 2 km distance of this property. the only problem we faced was with room service. We ordered for drinking water around 9 pm and they give it by 11 pm. Otherwise the experience was really good.

Service and facilities wise very horrible experience we stayed in cottage near beach side.we got room 315 1. first impression was they expect us to stay in a place full flooded after informing they representative multiple times they told us they ll clear water within 1 hour no one came but Instead they place few brinks for us to jump and reach our room with 2 small kids.next day morning level of water increased.Not every cottage has this issue only onecottage has this issue which can be clearly doables,yet decided not to 2.rooms not clean and ac was not working all we had to wait outside for cleaning people to come and clean the room .Full of mosquitos 3.Room lock was broken and we waited for another 3hrs for someone to come and repay but no one came luckily next room was available so we shifted to that room 4.we got towel which looks like already used, washroom smells bad 5.Food is actually good. One star for that Management should take care of these issues people are coming there to relax before checking in room s must be ready they should check if lights,ac other stuffs working or not .For the amount they are charging they should check before handing over the room.

Well I booked this resort without checking the reviews but I was so disappointed when I read the reviews and scared too. But I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews however I really had a great time staying in this resort for two days and everything is awesome. Private beach is very clean and pool is quite big and also the food was really good. The only con is property little old but well maintained and all places of Mahabs are at walkable distance.

Stayed in resort with family. Pros 1. Easy access to beach 2. Spacious resort 3. Express check in (checked in by 4pm) Cons 1. Very costly restaurant. It's better to travel with in 1 or 2 kms from the resort to have food with friendly budget. 2. Spacious room but had fungus smell. Cleanliness can be improved in the rooms.

1) Location is good. Plus property is huge with good landscaping and private beach. Though can make good sitting arrangements near beach. 2) Rooms are okay and spacious however washrooms are pathetic, not at all maintained and fittings are too old, we stayed at ground floor. 3) Service is okay. 4) Breakfast menu/spread is exactly same for all days. Unable to manage the crowd especially on tea/coffer counters. Taste was okay however Ala carte was much better. 5) Swimming pool is quite big and maintained. 6) Rooms are far from beach and hardly any lights/sitting arrangements at night near beach if we want to sit and enjoy.

Such a vast resort... Huge swimming pool with clean and less chlorinated water.. you can swim all day.. They have a private beach, lot of open spaces and lawns to take care of outdoor activities... Pool cottage room was too good.. buffet Breakfast was Decent.. but in room dining menu was overpriced... So we had to go out for dinner...other wise perfect place to stay..

It's a huge property and they are working on the maintenance now . Private beach which I'm sure is clean normally but after the lockdown they require a proper clean up Staff are friendly and food is nice Cottages are very good in size and comfort

There is no intercom between the rooms/ or to contact the reception. I wanted to order room service , so I had to go down to the reception to place an order. There was a lady at the reception who took my order & said she’ll send my food upto the room. She checked at the restaurant, but Lunch was closed, so the least she could do was inform me, so that I could think of an alternative. She conveniently forgot my room number & never informed me of the same. I was really hungry & eagerly waiting in my room. An hour later(4:30 pm) when I went to check at the reception, she had the audacity to tell me she forgot my room number & no lunch was ordered & took it as a joke. I had to walk to the restaurant myself, place an order & only ate my lunch at 5:15. Other staff were friendly & helpful, only the lady at the reception was ignorant & stupid. A simple task could not be handled & she ruined the experience.

We stayed a night here. Poorly maintained lodge. It's not a resort. Smelly bathroom, no tissue, no dustbin, no telecom / intercom. Rooms not cleaned properly. Need to wait 1 hour to get Need to go to reception to inform anything. Are they in Stonehenge? Food taste is below average, service not worth for 2 star. Not worth for the money spent. Overall pathetic experience.
