Located in Palakkad this picturesque hill range is part of the Western ghats. Amazingly beautiful with elephants monkeys peacocks and other wildlife roaming around. Some people claim to have seen leopards. Most of the houses have electrified fences to keep out the wild elephants. In spite of these precautions the elephants resent the intrusion into their pristine habitat and knock down the fences to eat plantain, jackfruit and leaves. several houses coming up all over the hill side have successfully spoilef the hill side. The peace and quiet of the hill has to be experienced to be believed. In most places you will miss your internet which only adds to the charm.

A three-hour trek from Palakkad town, Dhoni hills is an ideal picnic spot for travellers. The trek to the reserve forest area from the base camp and there are beautiful locations during the trek. Visits to the Dhoni Hills are gaining traction with travellers and trekking enthusiasts

It was a nice atmosphere over there.Really enjoyed playing in waterfalls after a long walk to the top. Entry fee was 120 which seems a little high.

Nice trekking area. There is a old building hidden inside the jungle which can be accessed with the help of authority. Time restriction for entry. Waterfall is a mesmerizing beauty. Overall good experience.
