A small trek ( 15 - 20 mins )through the steps will take you to the wonderful view point. Great scenery during monsoon. On the way you can visit tea estates and have a photo shoot too. Here some shops sell local spices. No parking charges. From here you can watch Dolphin's Nose and the Sleeping Lady hills. Binoculars are available on rent.

Lamb's Rock, located at an elevation of approximately 5,700 feet, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, forests, and distant mountains. The journey to reach the viewpoint is an adventure in itself, with twisting roads and lush greenery along the way. Upon arriving at Lamb's Rock, I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the landscape. The cliff-edge viewpoint offers a spectacular vista, where one can witness the vast expanse of the Nilgiri Hills in all their glory. The sight of the mist-covered valleys and lush tea gardens below is simply breathtaking. The tranquilly and serenity of Lamb's Rock make it an ideal spot to unwind and appreciate nature's wonders. Whether you visit during the day or at sunrise or sunset, the play of light and shadows over the picturesque landscape creates a magical ambiance that will leave you captivated. The accessibility to the viewpoint is convenient, and there are safety measures in place to ensure a secure experience for visitors. Additionally, the surrounding areas offer several vantage points and walking trails that allow you to explore the natural beauty at your own pace.

View is great. But since we visited during off season it was covered with fog. Entrance ticket is 15 rs per person . There is a small trekking path from entrance to the view point which is slightly steep but since it is well maintained we can go. Path itself is beautiful

It's a good viewpoint, A one-time visit. Great place to chill in Coonoor, you need to walk around 500 meters from the gate for an awesome valley view. Moving clouds make the place even more beautiful. There are multiple viewing points and they make for amazing photos. There is a short nature trail too. The main point has a proper viewing area. There are shops at the entrance to buy essentials.

A unspoilt, path through wilderness to high points overlooking plains below. Take the longer path which is through dense trees, leaf litter, lichen lined earth embankments. Keep your eyes peeled, to notice oriental white eyes, barbets, mynas etc.

The entry fee is 30/- and there is a parking charge of 10 rs for the bike. There is a little to walk with well made way. The place is well maintained by the government. No drones are allowed. The view is mesmerizing if there are fogs and cloud beds, we were lucky to see the fog.

Very good view point. The road way to reach Lambs Rock would be excellent. We have to walk for 10-15mins to reach the view points. Full of green trees. One would get purest form of air. Please don't carry any eatables, as lot of monkeys are available. You could get binoculars for rent (50Rs). Would be good, if u reach in morning hours.

Lambs rock is a viewpoint area in Coonoor . It's located on the way to the dolphins nose view and need to take a side road to reach the spot. The view point has an areal view of the valley and the mountains near by. Vehicles can only be parked on the roadside. Expect to do some elevated walking though, and there is a stoned walkway avaulable.

Great scenic view! You can see the whole Coimbatore city from this point. The flora is dominated by sholas trees which are so dense and dark even during mid-day that it almost feels like a roof! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lamb Rock is on the way to Dolphin nose. The Serenity, tranquility and scenery are a pleasant surprise. Since I visited during the monsoon season, I couldn't enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. But I was on cloud 9. The monkeys around are a treat to watch. I would appreciate it if the municipality maintains the roads and the park that would contribute to everlasting memories of the visitors.

Its the highest point in coonoor around 7 km from the town. A spectacular viewpoint where one can enjoy the cool breeze and sunrise or sunset. A must visit place in coonoor. The entry fee is 30rs per person and 20rs per kids and parking fees is 20rs. Drones are not allowed here.

Good place for a quick visit. Approach road couple be a bit better, but everything else is worth it. Please avoid peak timings as it will get extremely crowded and you will not find a place to park or be able to take good photos. When you enter the place, you can take the path on the right to reach the summit quickly. If you want to enjoy a walk, then please take the path on the left. For first timers, would advise either using the guide or hiring the photographer there (to help boost their livelihood). You will also get good food items outside along with amazing lemon soda. Please avoid interacting with the monkeys.

Lamb's rock gives you one of the best view of hills. Mountain hills covered with clouds makes the view even more awesome. Must visit place.

Beautiful place with a short trek to the Lamb's Rock point. Remember to take a guide along to appreciate the Sleeping Lady, Elephant's Nose & Lamb 's Rock views. Very enjoyable place for about an hour's trip in COONOOR.

Great view point in Connor. You have to walk for 20 min to reach the top view point. Just to go to this place you have to pay 20 rs for the vehicle and then 30 rs per person to get to the view point. Similar to other visiting places here also you have to pay all the things in cash. There is no need for a guide for this place.

Good place to visit after noon because morning will be full of mist so we can’t see the sleeping lady’s view. Take some guide from this place, he will explain lots of things about this place. Shooting spot is there. Lot of monkeys are there.

This is another sightseeing spot of Coonoor. You have to walk through forest area for about 10 to 20 minutes depending on speed and also this is uphill walking. Tickets are there at Rs 30 per person.

Don't know the logic behind this naming, it should be lamp's rock as there is a shape of lamp on top of it. You can get nice view from there. Overall a good experience. Go there by bike..bikes can easily cross the traffic otherwise you might struck for 2-3 hours in traffic.

Earlier known as suicide point, good that government has renamed it. The border is also well secured. Earlier it had a fencing and now it has a concrete structure giving the viewers a better scenic view.

The view is great from this location. We didn't really explore it much and make our way through the top of the view point, but at the entrance itself you have a spot where you can get an excellent view of the sleeping lady hills, which is called so as the outline of the hills look like a lady is in a sleeping position. If you are at this point you don't need a ticket but if you plan to climb up the hill and go to the actual view point you'll have to take a ticket which is 30rs per adult. There are a lot of shops at the entrance. You can find chocolates, oils, corn, mangoes etc. Beware of monkeys, you'll find a lot of them, so take care of your belongings. There's not much of a parking space, so you need to carefully park on the path way.

  • 4/5 Sumalatha V. 10 months ago on Google
This is just a view point and scenic. If you have to go up to the point then it costs a ticket of 30rs per adult and 20rs per child. We have some stalls where we have sweet corn, bread omlette, Maggie, soda, cool drinks, raw mango

This place is beautiful😍 We hired a guide for 200₹ for the group who told us about the place and the points. I do not recommend you to spend on the guide if you are on a budget. PS: The guide was really good in taking pictures 😛 just in case you need a highly paid photographer, I can then recommend 😁 Its just a walking trail and to reach the tower you will need to climb steps. Overall time would be around 1-1.5 hours depending on your speed and wait time. The entry 30₹ per person and parking fees is 20₹ This place is must visit , its really peaceful and serene.

Beautiful place. Nature lovers and photographers would love this place.

Lamb's rock is around 10 km from Conoor. We have to trek around 500m to reach to the top where we can view the Sleeping Lady mountain and the Catherine water falls. Guides are available but it is not a must. Need to be careful with the monkeys. Parking will be an issue and the entry ticket is 30₹ for adults and 10₹ for kids till 10 years.

One of the places to visit in Coonoor, it's on the way to Dolphins nose, it offers four different view points with a green lush jungle to Trek. If the weather is not clear, then you would not have any view , they charge 30 rs. As a entry ticket which is very high as compared to place and facilities. One can relax and enjoy the green dark Jungle.

View is good. It’s called lambs rock because the place was discovered by a gentleman called Lamb. Don’t expect to see some lamb from the view point. From parking to the view point is a 100 mt steep staircase so elderly people should avoid it. You might end up in viewing the point and spending some time sitting there as there isn’t much to do. The road to the view point is ok but had several hairpin bends. There is a tea garden next to it and people can click beautiful photos there.

The route to reach this place is one of the best. Most scenic routes apart from that there is nothing more

  • 4/5 Amandeep S. 1 year ago on Google
Decent views. Make sure you go all the way to the top. It is usually full of people, and quite a steep climb so unfit for elders. You can get plenty of drinks and snacks after you come down. Make sure you take the jungle path on the way back, which is dark and a little scary. Overall a great experience.

  • 4/5 Arpit J. 6 years ago on Google
Another place to appreciate the nature and beauty. The road is fun to drive but do not expect much on reaching your destination. Just another view point where you see the beautiful hills. People try to rent you binoculars but personally i didn't feel the need of it.

The view point is one of the best spots for viewing the hillsides......but entrance fees have been hiked for no reason.....post lockdown.....

  • 1/5 Julian J. 2 years ago on Google
It closes at 3pm. Go before 2pm if you want to see the view point. Bad experience.

  • 4/5 Aishwarya R. 1 year ago on Google
