Lovely and serene waterfalls. Very clean and fresh water with varying force. Very refreshed and relaxing bath. Well maintained. There is an entry fee. Good parking space. There is a locker facility. There are changing rooms for men and women. You can buy towel, hot food, etc. in the shops along the street. Separate bathing areas for men and women. Not so cold water even during early hours. No trouble of monkeys. Not so dangerously deep waters. Visit during early hours to avoid crowd.

Water falls for all age groups. Since its surplus water that over flows its warm unlike other falls. Even the flow is even and heavy. Boating facilities were good. The dress changing rooms could be made better as we cudnt access even after paying for it. Full of water, mud and unpleasant smell. Being paid washrooms n changing rooms they could maintain more better. The garden is well maintained. Place is clean. Great place for weekend. Parking costs 10rs(2 wheelers) We had to walk a little. Ticket cost is 10Rs per head. The falls area is divided into male n female area separately.

Good place to spend time with friends and family. This falls have waters in the summer too. I don't know in which period this falls will be waterless. The place was very cleaned and maintaining good. There is waterpool, dress changing room, park for children and shops near the falls. The morning and evening will be good time to come here. In the afternoon the water getting little hotter.

Thiruparappu is located about 55 kilometers away from kanniyakumari. The Kodayar makes its descend at Tirparappu and the water fall at this place is about 13km. from Pechiparai dam. The river bed is rocky and about 300 feet in length. The water falls from a height of nearly 50 feet and the water flows for about seven months in a year. The whole bed above the falls is one rocky mass which extends up to a distance of about quarter of a kilometer upstream where the famous Thirparappu weir has been constructed for supplying water to the paddy fields. On either side of the river, on the left bank of the river in between the water falls and the weir, there is a temple dedicated to Siva enclosed by strong fortification. The District Administration has constructed a swimming pool for children over here which is very popular among the children.

It was an unprecedented and a scintillating experience. I was flummoxed by the immense force of the water from falls smashing on my head and the body. It was entirely a unique experience. I visited with my friends on Thursday, the 12th. Its noteworthy to mention that the place was filled with hardly any crowd. I was told by the locals that during the weekends, starting from Friday, the place will be heavily crowded. I can't help but mention here, even such a wonderful place was not spared from the rubbish thrown, strewn recklessly and mercilessly. Even God cannot change our stubborn attitude. Last but not the least, locals were very humble, polite and helping by nature. Enjoy the life. Be safe, be healthy, be wealthy. God be with us.

Amazing waterfalls to take bath. Day times are mostly crowded by families and tourists, so it's recommended to visit early if possible. Seperate spaces available for men and women, with locker room and changing room available as well. Ample parking space available at the entrance, with lots of food stalls on the way to the falls. And it's upto the tourists to maintain the hygiene of the place!

It was really a Wonderful experience, the right seasonal water falls. Have to walk 10 mins from the parking slot. It was a long weekend so this place was too much crowded so obvious not cleanly maintained. However seeing the beauty of falls we'll forget all the negatives. 10rs entrance fee is a minus as it was once allowed without any fees. Enjoy the nature at this place

The man made waterfalls is about 20 km from Nagercoil, where we stayed. Beware of the bumpy road to get there. Parking was an issue. There were lots of little shops selling holiday clothes and souvenirs. There was a nominal entrance fee. The falls itself was picturesque. There are segregated areas for men and women to bathe. There was a pool for those who don’t want to stand under the falls. But be careful of the mossy rocks. There are separate changing rooms with basic amenities. Nominal fee of Rupees 5 to use it. Altogether an enjoyable experience with some inconveniences

Beautiful place to enjoy waterfall.... There are 2 waterfalls here (main & minor). There is an entrance fee (₹10)& parking fee (₹10-two wheeler) for main... For me they didn't charge anything for minor. No camera charge... Feel free to use your own camera You can go in and enjoy the waterfall (don't forget to bring a change of clothes) There is a small pool also for 12+ kids also.

I had been to this place during the holidays and it was super crowded. The place is not tidy and just maintained to keep people flowing in . It could be maintained well for crowds flowing in . There is also an entry fee of 10 rs per person collected. Car parking available. Restroom available.

Falls are well maintained. Very neat and clean. Here they have constructed swimming pool. But I could not find a good hotels. Better you have to get food from outside. Have a great journey

Safest fall to enjoy with family. Separate place for ladies and gents, well secured bars placed. Kids and all age groups had a great fun time, u can choose the place based on the force of the water. Entrance fare is 10 rupees per person. They have public changing rooms. Also there are hotels around giving room for 2 hours at nominal price for family groups.

One of the best weekends destinations with children. They enjoy the small waterfall. One of the main problems is the parking space on Sunday and public holidays. The narrow road to the location is also a problem. When another vehicle comes opposite then you are trapped. The main entry road leads to vehicle entry pass Rs.50/- There's a clock room for storage of your clothes and valuable with a cost of Rs. 40/-. Separate room is available for men and women for changing clothes and toilets also. There is an entry fee also. It's the side of the Siva temple and you can go to the dam and river on the other side of the temple from the road. It's also very beautiful ❤️ there is a children's park near to the waterfall. Kids also enjoy it.

Stand 10 mins under the falls, come out with a fresh lease of mind. Difficult and tiresome drive from nearby towns. Overcrowded. Shops and canteens around. Restrooms and changing rooms are not sufficient for the crowd. Safe places for kids to enjoy, but be cautious don't let them from your clutch. Visited on Jan end, reasonable flow of water.

It is a very cleanly maintained water falls. It is preserved with the same cleanliness and beauty as in foreign countries. There is water here almost all the time. The keepers take special care to keep the water falls active at all times. The fee is ₹50 for parking and ₹20 per person for entry. There are separate waterfalls for men, women and children. The women's and children's falls are relatively small. Changing facilities for women should also be mentioned. There is also a hotel room for accommodation right next to the falls

Small amount of water flow when I went to visit. There is a reservoir at the top side. Water available there. Boating also available, boating cost 50 per head. Nice ride. Don't take bath without proper swimming knowledge. Overall good experience. Top side view was good. One of the must visited place in Kanyakumari.

It’s a wonderful place best visited on weekdays. The boat ride is fun and it is best to choose couple boat for 30 min instead of group boating as they are very short ride.

Place was really crowded . Driver was saying that it was artificially made but it didn't look like one. You can go under the waterfall and have fun. 10 rs entry fee . Boating and other charges are different . 5rs for washroom . But it was clean . Changing rooms available for womens .

It is one of the best and must places to visit when u come to Kanyakumari.. it has multiple entry ways . The main entrance will cost u about 10rs for a person and you have to stand in a queue if it's season time and it will take you to the water falls and the swimming pool. The one entry point next to the main entrance will take you to boat rides and other small streams , parks etc.. overall it will be a good experience .. There will be cops in every corner to safe guard you. If you're coming in a 4 wheeler you'll have to take parking tickets. There's a lot of small hotels available in case you're hungry. Take care of your belongings and have a wonderful time.

Better not to visit in weekend or holidays. Too much crowd. Basic infrastructure nd needs has to be improved. Need a proper entry ticket counter with online booking facilities. Parking 4 Wheeler is difficult. if you are not aware of parking fee you may be cheated.

A wonderful waterfall near Nagercoil. Got some really good scenic beauty as well. The tourism department has done a splendid job in maintaining the sight and provides a good safety net. Before 9 is the best time to visit the place and have fun with less crowds. They also provide a good boating experience nearby and the views there are splendid.

I was literally running back to the car. I liked the falls when viewed from a distance, but when we went close to it, the entire place stinked. All the toilets were unclean. I was walking with my dress all held up, and I touched nowhere as everything looked unclean. It was just worth a one-time visit. If you are ready to get into the falls, it is very safe, even for kids. Do not visit on weekends. The vehicle entry fee was Rs 50 or Rs 70. If the public parking is full, you have to park at the pay and park. The per head entry fee is Rs. 10. There are many shops and food stalls along the entrance.

Great and glorious waterfall. Has place to bath. A swimming pool (of river water). Nice for photography. Rs 5-10 entry ticket per person, Rs 75-150 for camera. Shops for buying things, food, drinks, etc is available.

  • 3/5 Navanita M. 7 months ago on Google
The waterfall is quite small, try visiting on non weekends. Its quite crowded otherwise. The boating is a better experience but be prepared to walk almost a km for reaching the boating area. We also had to wait for the row boats for almost half an hour. The landscape is beautiful!

  • 4/5 Bagavath S. 10 months ago on Google
Great place to spend time with kids and family if you like getting in the water ! The facilities are very basic around the falls and you need to bear with them. Good locker room is available to keep your valuables safe. There is a changing room for men which is really a sham. But the women’s changing rooms are better. You could also go for a short boat ride a little further from the falls. Do not go in when there has been continuous rains as they may restrict entry at such times. Limited parking is available else you may have to find space on the road side near the falls. Did not find any good restaurants with seating for a family near the falls. The one which had good seating disappointed with its food.

This falls will have water throughout the year, even during the summer. During rainy seasons, if the water flow is too heavy, bathing is not permitted. The water is believed to have medicinal properties.

One of the very nice and attractive tourist places in Kanniyakumari District....Everyone must visit this place ...And the Thirparapu Amman Temple nearby ... Separate places are allocated for men and women to enjoy the Falls just by few barricades ... water is very cold and refreshing directly from the mountains... Separate rooms are arranged for dressing and Taking shower for men and women ....these is a mini swimming pool situated nearby for kids , even adults are enjoying it .... There is a kids park nearby for people who just come to visit the place.... people should go around the Temple (Outside the falls area) and enjoy the River View or Thirparappu Falls , quite a beautiful place ....

Well maintained artificial waterfall in tamilnadu. Garden and a small park are there. Basic amenities like dressing rooms, toilets etc are now available. Cleanliness is not that great. But family including ladies and kids can have some quality time there.

  • 4/5 Vishnu C. 2 years ago on Google
A catchy spot near marthandom. Its a bit artificially made waterfalls. To maintain certain level of water they have constructed two check dams. One is way smaller just above the falls. The other one is above it where boating is carried out. I personally dont suggest to take a bath here because if u trace out the river on the upper side of falls u can see lots of people use it for bathing their animals, dumping wastes etc. So remember its not pure water comming down the waterfall. Theres an entry fee and entry time upto 6 pm. Probably too crowded during holidays. And the park near to it have pools for childern. And if u look at the water colour you will understand the water quality. They dont filter it i guess. When talking about the landscaping they have done it beautifully. Gardening area is good.
