Portuguese
Desserts
💯
Portugal
is
well
known
for
their
desserts
with
the
most
well
known
being
the
pastel
de
nata
or
Portuguese
egg
custard
tart
We
enjoyed
plentiful
pastel
de
nata
but
two
finds
we
hadn’t
heard
about
at
all
The
first
is
a
traditional
Portuguese
pudding
served
at
many
establishments
that
we
loved
at
Cervejeria
Ramiro:
Pudim
abade
de
priscos
or
Portuguese
pudding
The
secret
ingredient?
Pork
lard
and
lots
of
sugar!
We
love
this
dessert!
The
second
find
is
the
travesseiros
or
pillow
pastries
of
Sintra
.
Travesseiros
are
most
associated
with
Sintra’s
oldest
pastry
shop
Piriquita
and
these
airy
puff
pastries
are
filled
with
a
delectable
egg
almond
cream
