My
family
and
I
went
to
Sheraton
Pilar
for
a
weekend.
In
summary:
the
hotel's
best
days
are
behind
it,
not
ahead.
You
can
tell
everywhere
you
look
--
old
fittings
and
fixtures,
old
wallpapers,
old
styles
in
lamps
and
deco
(which
would
be
OK
if
properly
maintained),
old
technology
(phones
are
like
something
out
of
90s
movie
and
TVs
are
the
first
flatscreens
that
came
out
at
30
inches!).
Everywhere
you
look
there
is
falling
apart
or
decadence.
In
our
room
we
had
to
deal
with
a
water
leak
from
the
aircon,
which
was
nothing
new
by
the
way
the
ceiling
wood
panels
looked
like
--
fixed
over
dozens
of
times.
Basically
the
handyman
was
draining
the
water
through
a
hose,
not
really
fixing
the
problem.
In
the
bathroom,
the
flush
for
the
toilet
would
not
work
(the
chain
would
get
loose
inside
the
mechanism),
the
faucet
would
spin
and
drip,
the
ceiling
discolored,
etc.).
The
beds
very
uncomfortable,
with
sinking
in
the
middle,
two
pillows
per
bed
very
thin
and
completely
not
up
to
task
for
holding
any
neck,
carpet
discolored
and
dirty
--
well,
you
get
the
drift.
I
can
keep
telling
stories
but
one
gets
the
picture.
Check
out
other
comments.
The
hotel
needs
a
multimillion
dollar
investment
to
bring
it
to
the
21st
century.
At
no
time
were
we
offered
to
change
rooms
or
given
a
discount
for
all
the
discomforts.
Management
seems
to
be
too
young
or
uninformed
or
inexperienced,
or
simply
don't
care.
The
criticism
goes
for
upper
management
and
owners,
not
the
workers
who
sadly
try
to
keep
the
wheels
turning.
It
is
sad
that
Sheraton
has
a
standard
that
is
universal
everywhere,
however,
Sheraton
Pilar
fails
miserably.
For
the
same
price
one
could
go
to
the
Hilton,
Howard
Johnson
or
any
other
brand
and
get
a
better
service
and
stay.
In
fact,
the
price
does
not
deliver
the
Sheraton
experience.
I
shall
not
return.
