Probably the best places I’ve laid my head in a long while. Set off the beaten path and up a quiet road nestled in the mountains you’ll find this fine establishment. The proprietors are incredibly friendly and made every effort to make the stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible - they succeeded in all respects. Rooms are clean and tidy, air conditioned and there’s WiFi should you feel like you’re cut off from the world - just reconnect. The breakfast spread was a welcoming sight, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. What an incredible experience.

The room was great. The food was fantastic. The people were so welcoming. They were willing to wait for our very late arrival when other guesthouses turned us down. Having car trouble was not fun and then we arrived at the Kleipot and could recharge.

The receptionist, Norma, was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms have basic crockery as well. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable with completely white bedding which was exactly what we needed after a very long drive there. There is a lovely little Cafe few metres down the road where we caught breakfast. There's also a garage few metres from the cafe. Also undercover parking, blue pool and hanging chairs in the garden. There was however an earthy smell in the water in a few rooms.

After 12 hours of driving with 3 kids, our room did not have hot water. The host did not offer an alternative room with hot water and left the premises without communicating that she is trying to find an electrician to fix the problem - we were stranded without hot water. In the end she brought us buckets of hot water.

Before we booked in I spoke several times to Norma, die receptionist. Every time she sounded very tired or sick. I got the feeling she is not very interested in helping me. Not friendly at all. We arrived at this guesthouse from a previous five star guesthouse in Oudtshoorn. This average guesthouse charges almost the same, way too much for what it offers. It is clean, except for the freezer. We had a lot of luggage and there were no assistence from Norma in the office. I travel a lot and have stayed in many places much beter for less money.

Safe and secure. Slept well, could be slightly cleaner- still found spiders in the room (dead and alive), beautiful garden to relax in, quiet and peaceful, breakfast staff got 3/3 orders wrong, but breakfast was delicious. A little expensive for what we got compared to other venues we’ve stayed in on/off the N1.

Accommodation was true to picture on web. It was well maintained and clean. A good stay over on your way.

We had a comfortable overnight stay. Neat and clean. Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 07:15. What a disappointment this morning: no breakfast and not one staff member anywhere to be seen. Therefore, the overnight accommodation price is overrated

Very clean, very helpful staff and nice room , ideal for overnight stay. 5 minutes from town. Beautiful restful garden. Pool needs some cleaning but otherwise really nice

The staff was very friendly and the fact that the security was great for our car that we had to leave oitside, was a plus for me. The bed was very comfortable, but I think that the price was a little bit too high for what we got. The barhroom wasn't clean & the rusks next too the kettle was old. Unfortunately I don't think I will return there. If I pay more than I would for a luxury hotel room, I expect more.

After travelling from gauteng with a child the room was not cleaned up..waste from previous occupants were not removed...no back up electricity or any other means of lighting...had to use cell phone lights...no services after 17h00..seems like the staff works only office hours...loved the "big"s screen tv..20cm screen in total width..smaller than a tablet screen..for 3 stars and R1300/night, "something " better service should be presented...will definately not recommend. No security or access control. Outomated gate not operstional and can and must be open manually Ben Rautenbach

My bed was worn out, so uncomfortable. I struggled to sleep. What a service, Noma was a great hostess.
