I was there for 2 nights over the past weekend and both evenings I cam in late as I had business in Cape Town on Saturday. This place and its wonderful staff waited for me after I have called them to let them know I was running very late. Even though I only slept there for about 4 hours and then hit the road again. The service that I received from them was absolutely fantastic. They were so helpful and friendly. I will recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking to overnight. They will most definitely see me in the future. Thank you guys. You are tops in my book. Keep up the great work

Love it, love it, love it. Great mid stop from Jhb to Cape Town. Room service... one of the best burgers ever, however... The Best Creamy Garlic Sauce ever!! I highly recommend this lodge. Great stop over. Really friendly staff.. my bags were taken to my room upon arrival... great English breakfast. I will definitely be staying there again. Absolutely 5 golden stars ! ! ! (Also, great value for money)😉

We're on our way to JHB from Cape Town and decided to stay overnight in Colesberg and found this place on Google. We booked via phone 6hrs before arrival, pretty quick and no fuss about depoait etc. Maybe becos its winter time so its generally quiet time for hospitality industry. The reception was 24hrs which is great for super late check in like us. The room was clean and we slept comfortably in the big bed and had heater which is very important in this winter time as this area is pretty freezin in the evening. Generally, we are happy with the place for a quick transit.

I stayed 2 nights. This lodge reminds me of the old hotels of the mid 70's and seems stuck in time. Although the rooms are old, they are clean and the beds are comfortable. I had to turn the aircon off in the middle of the night as it was quite loud. They do not have power during loadshedding and rely loadshedding bulbs which did not work in my room. The hot water was luke warm. On the food side I ate Breakfast which was acceptable. Only instant coffee on was on offer. This lodge has the potential to be so much more.

We prefered not to check in after viewing the room and chose to rather loose our R1200-00 already paid and find alternative accomodation.

They don't provide enough food for breakfast to the number of guests there fore some guests have to wait while they prepare food which causes more delays to other guests

Went during cold weather. Our aircon was not working, our bedding and curtains was stained and the shower water lukewarm. They did offer is extra blankets, but the experience was not great.

Service was great and staff food and accommodation was awesome. But the room is haunted. We kept hearing noises of a person struggling to breathe and strange noises. We left asap.

We had a interlinking room which was not confirmed or asked when we made the booking. As a result the elderly couple next to us kept Ons talking loudly and eating.. Plates and cutlery making a noise. We booked the room to rest before the next long road is tackled to Jhb. At 11.30pm I called the front desk to request another room and we were moved. No manager apologized for this inconvenience so we feel a bit disappointed because we did not get enough sleep.

The most charming little hotel with the most beautiful hidden pool deck oasis. Fantastic staff who made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough to make feel comfortable. We'll always stay here on the way to and from Jozi.

Not so bad but nothing to lookout for. Dry and uneventful. Cold and ordinary. Food is average, staffers mind their business generally. It's a typical stop over for long journeys.

A wonderful overnight destination nearly halfway between Jhb and Cpt. The rooms are neat, cosy...beds fitted with electric warm blankets and room has an aircon to heat up on cold winter nights. Room has a safety gate to lock you up safely when sleeping. Only 1 downside was luke warm water in the shower at 3am in the morning when getting ready to tackle the last leg of the way to CPT. Our host was awesome. She waited for us to check in after 8pm with a warm and friendly welcome. Safe parking for vehicle behind remote controlled gate. Walking distance from a corner pub with the most yummy karoo lamp shank.... Make this a stop if you are hitting the road soon!

👍 Driving through the most of Colesberg I was a bit worried about the accommodation I booked online as a stop-over between Johannesburg and Cape Town. I was pleasantly surprised by this charming, old guest house. All the furniture were old, wooden and antique. The room had a ton of space, I basically...

👍 Right next to the N2. Spacious, affordable and comfortable. Aircon would have helped rather than the water cooler as it was extremely hot, but not much with loadshedding. There is a pool but we did not use it. Felt safe as there was a security guard on patrol all night. Ideal for overnight stay. Rec...
