I only give them a 1 star becouse the are at a good location, but there service is up to s@t, the lady working at reception don't have maners and can not eaven talk in n nice and proper way to customers, I asced if I can book in early and they responded with "no problem, it is aranged" after driving 1000km I wanted to sleep, just to find out I can only book in after 14:00 and they dont have booked my booking. Sorry ......no go for me.

The rooms and showers are not up to standard. Rooms are smelling bad Dirty and worn bedding

This place needs a complete renovation..Duvets, sheets needs a wash or needs completely new ones.. Needs proper heating system because rooms are ice cold. No security, under stuffed, no lights at the parking.

You never get a place in Desember, they are always full. In March 2022. We were there and got a place. The bed are terrible. It is so hard and uncomfortable. They still owe us a day that is paid because we had to leave early the next day. But yes not the management did not come back to confirm or nothing.

Very basic. Poor value compared to other accomodation in Colesberg. No separate rooms for 5 people. No kitchen facilities other than kettle and microwave in same room as beds. No plates to eat. Only cups and saucers. Tiny shower/toilet for 5 people. If looking for a basic hotel room, this motel setup fine.

Good value for money. Clean linen, no smoke smell. Quiet. For just sleeping it is good.

We enjoyed our stay allot. The lady at reception make us feel so welcome. I really do recommend Gables in to any person. Awesome location and close to OK foods and the Garage.

It's quite basic, furniture is old, bathrooms can do with a little bit of an upgrade BUT it's clean and tidy. Was quite impressed by their ingenuity with little load shedding light they had in the rooms. Mabe one more of those lights in the bedroom would be nice, all together it's not bad for a overnight stay that's less than R600 and pet friendly.

There was bed bugs. Bedding bery bad Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful.bit i was traumatised by the experience.

Not good at all.... At less the Guest were friendly. There was hot water. A Company that made a lot of money don't care at all.. No Maintence and very rude Staff. Give it a Mis if you can.

After being on the road for 8 hours in 35 degrees summer weather my family was looking forward to a clean shower and a cool room to spend the night. To our disappointment the shower had mold and was not cleaned, the airxon was not working g and all 3 beds were in a terrible state. So uncomfortable. The fridge was not even plugged in so that we could have some cold water. When I approached reception to tell them the aircon is not working and that we could maybe have a fan I was told there is.notjing she can do. THey dont have fans. I will never use these place again. We were so uncomfortable and was feeling so hot we have wet the towels and slept on them and eventually gave up and left the place at 3 in the morning. Just wondering if the owner ever goes into the rooms to see in what state it is before making people pay for it and drive for hours to get there.

I had booked my stay through safarinow and price I paid was R 1495 as it mentioned that it is self catering unit . After driving 600+km all expected my room to be ready and clean .To my shock the lady at the reception says no booking in this name . It took 20mins to sort this matter ,the lady decided to give some room which wasn't self catering . They start cleaning room then I again had to wait for another 20-25mins for the lady to clean the room ,change sheets and make it ready for us .Despite all the cleaning the room smelled terrible and bathroom needs serious attention ,it's all musty and full of molds 🤢 I have stayed in colesberg manier times and definitely there are better places for better price. Would never prefer to book this again

Spacious room size. Clean washroom. Beds are uncomfortable in the family room. They don't offer breakfast nor dinner so you will have to drive out to town. They don't have power backup system during load shedding so making a cup of coffee or tea is not possible.

Well done guys i was pleasently surprised to find you open after a long day on the road. Your room was clean and tidy and the bathroom nice and clean with comfatable clean bedding for 325 per night well done. Keep up the good service

Rooms are clean, Hot shower, Microwave, TV. Undercover parking. Cannot get the same accommodation at this price. Highly recommended.

Place affordable and well situated. The room we slept in was quite clean and family rooms where spacious enough. Our dog 🐶 slept in so I like it for that also. Pool is not well kept though, very dirty and there's people who smoked by the pool while I wanted to go relax in there with my kids. I think Gables can do better.

Do not expect much. Rooms and especially bathroom facilities need urgent attention to get up to reasonable standards. Also bad odours in rooms.

Clean room, the shower! Worth your while. Will stay there again when in the area. Just loved it.

Just an overnight stay. Clean bedding and clean rooms. Very convenient close to the entrance of Colesberg.

Ours was a last minute check-in. (Literally!) But the room was clean & linen crisp. Contents were a tad antiquated but comfortable. The TV hissed & crackled but there was one. Parking was secure at the unit (comforting) My only issue was that there was no cutlery or crockery (they were serious about it being SELF CATERING!😏) all in all not bad
