Fantastic. Owner was incredibly friendly and even assisted us in choosing a restaurant in town. The accommodation was great for the stop over with the pool being an added advantage on such a hot day. All linen was squeaky clean, beds comfy and the bore hole water was refreshing. We would certainly plan on staying here again on our way to capetown.

Extremely friendly hosts. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Well-kept, neat property. Tasty breakfast and dinner available. Pet friendly. A good choice when looking for accommodation in Colesberg. Close proximity to the highway and petrol stations.

We stayed here overnight on our way to the Cape. The place is outside town so it is quiet and peaceful and also very safe. The service was friendly and welcoming. Inside was a spacious historic venue with a dining room an a well appointed bar where we enjoyed a few drinks before dinner. The food was good. We stayed in one of the rondawels which is a nice touch and also heated since it was cold during the night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Can recommend this place.

Cozy little bungalow, just right during a long journey. Hosts are friendly, and dogs are welcome.

Delightful. So clean and neat. Food was delicious, and the Barman was a treat. Excellent overnight in the Karoo

Lovely quiet place. Clean rooms, air-conditioning in the main rooms. Unfortunately I was not able to get the hot water working for my shower (despite being told to run the baths hot tap first). They are just outside of Colesburg with seemingly nothing else around which was a little scary arriving after dark.

False advertising and Worst experience ever. We have twins of 1 years old. I booked a double bedroom place for a reason and the day before the booking, I even confirmed the booking. On our way to Cape Town, we have to sleep over in Colesberg, as the trip is exhausting for the twins of 1 year old, with the idea to arrive there, spend some time with the kids, let them eat and relax after a very long day in the car, bath them and then I will take the girl and mommy will take the boy to bed. That’s the reason for booking a 2 bedroom place, as then we can sooth them in their own room, and if one wakes, he/she doesn’t wake the other one.Needless to say that when we arrived , our place we booked was given to someone else…. And they only had a single room available. We tried to make the best of a bad situation…. With the above said, and not going into every detail, at 24:00, we decided to pack up and continue our trip to Cape Town. This means that what was supposed to be a resting place, and a wonderful journey, ended up in a terrible experience….. With that said, after booking and paying through lekker slaap, I was accused that I still owe Them money? What sort of people are these. 1st false advertising, and now trying to get some more money out of me. This happened 3 days back and still I haven’t heard anything from their management or Lekker Slaap

My wife and I stayed as campers both on the way down to CT and on the way back to Jhb and enjoyed it immensely. These lovely people and their Labradors 'Bongi' and 'Simba' doted over us pensioners and made sure we were very well looked after. Prices and meals were absolutely excellent. We will certainly use this facility as our midway stopover from now on. THANK YOU!

After a long road and hour at the wheel the quiet setting is just what you need. A very nice place in the middle of nowhere. Good food and a safe place to rest is all one can ask for. Your dog is welcome too.

Van Zylsvlei B&B is a super place to stay. Delicious electric blanket for an extremely cold night and morning. We'll worth a stay, with Delicious Karoo lamb recipes.

Had a very pleasant stay. Located on a farm just outside Colesberg. It was freezing but we had a aircon and electric blankets.

They go above and beyond with service. Having car trouble and now staying longer than anticipated and our hosts are really going the extra mile to accommodate us and assisting in whatever way the can.
