Our room was neat and clean, but personally I don't feel the price is justified. Some of the taps were loose and blinds broken. Not quite the same as the pictures displayed. Hosts are friendly though. Overall: sufficient for a one night stop-over.

Nothing wrong with the accommodation. Had all the basics with some improvements since the first time (a year ago) I stayed here, and the stay was comfortable. The problem I experienced was similar to my first experience. The owner wanted to by-pass booking.com to avoid paying commission, so I was again asked to cancel the booking while I was there and pay directly into (who I believe to be) the owner's bank account. The story started the same, "a mistake with the booking". According to the lady (owner) the room that was booked was for six people which I confirmed is exactly right and what I booked, then she changed the story and said the amount for the room I booked was the out of season rate and was incorrectly attached to the room on Booking.com on the date I booked. She gave me R100 off if I canceled with booking.com and selected "Covid-19 restrictions" as a reason for cancelation. The last time (a year ago) she said the room I booked wasn't big enough for my family so she would give me the family room for the same price if I paid directly to her. They only have one family room. This is clearly an ongoing business practice which left me feeling very bad because I had lie about canceling my booking on Booking.com. It goes without saying that I can't recommend this place. I would've made it my annual stop over to Cape Town but now I have have to go elsewhere.

We really had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The owner was welcoming and respond immediately to any concerns. The beds have electric blankets which kept us warm at night.OK Bazaar is located across the road and a few minutes walking distance to town. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone .

Very very rude and unhelpful host who had a mouthful and was unwilling to assist us with a broken down vehicle 16 km out of town with a year old baby to provide access to the facilith past 23h00 although it has a 24 hour reception sign posted on its wall. This is not the northern Cape hospitality that I have come accustomed to. Will not, as a matter of principle recomend this place to anyone, as a master guide and advisor. Very disappointed indeed.

Hot water is not available or works intermittently. All you want after a long road is to take a shower with hot water, but not in this place… No electricity by 10:00 pm, and 4 hours at the morning. Rooms OK. Beds OK. Towels OK.

Good overnight accommodation between Johannesburg and Cape Town. In fact Colesberg is almost midway. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Has TV, kettle, microwave and fridge. Clean swimming pool to cool off in the hot seasons. OK Bazaar, coffee shop and restaurants within walking distance.

Very friendly reception by the owner and staff. Quick and friendly response to queries. The place is neat and the beds were comfortable. This gave us a very good rest after the long drive from Cape Town.

Excellent well kept guest house. Alan and his team are super friendly, the venue is clean and neat. Close to the Engen 1 Stop and walking distance to the shopping centre, fuel station and a service,/towing and breakdown service garage. I would highly recommend stopping off in Colesberg when travelling on the N1 and check in at Ebenezer. We have found a new spot to take a break when travelling.
