The rooms are very spacious, clean, however no breakfast is served. The location for my purpose was excellent and the service simple but efficient.

We were warmly welcomed at Donald's Guest House in December 2021 and had the old house nearly to ourselves. There were kitchen facilities, a lounge and places to sit and eat. When we broke a glass they did not make a fuss. I highly recommend this guest house. Thank you to Chris and staff that made our stay such a pleasure.

Donald Lodge was a perfect stopover between JHB and George. Clean, tidy, hot shower, firm and comfortable bed and a good sized room. Good parking too. Location was convenient to be able to walk down the road for dinner. I'll definitely stay here again.

After a very very long drive we finally arrived at our stop over accommodation. Suene really went out of her way for us and waited very patientely as reception closes at 9pm and we only arrived at 12am. (We didn't realise there is no one on the property or to receive guests after 9 so be aware if you are going to arrive late) We didnt use any of the facilities as we were off super early again but the beds were so comfortable, room warm with heated blankets and a heater if needed. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Car was safe behind gates and the building is really beautiful....must be steeped in history. Thank you for a quick over night stay to help us refresh our batteries.

We stayed in the cheapest accommodation we could find. For the price the place was great. The bedroom was clean and our car was safe. Good frre WiFi signal.

Staff are extremely professional and very helpful to make sure that you feel comfortable as if you at home.

We booked on the 27 July 2022 at Donalds Guest House. On arrival we were greeted very friendly. The only problem was, no warm water and the mattress were very hard to sleep.

Not recommended at all! Rooms where ice cold with no working heater, shower door was broken so the bathroom was flooded with water, Wifi did not work (no internet connection) shower taps was not marked hot or cold,. Bath room covered with milddew. Worst of it all the advertise the rooms for R460 but on arrival we had to pay R560 because the R460 is only for December! Its misleading. Will never ever stay over again!
