Very convenient overnight stop directly next to the N1, not too far out of Colesberg. The rooms are clean and the staff are super friendly. The owner notes the entire venue will be renevated over the next year or so. The thatched buildings are nice and cool during summer, and each cabin also features a built in fireplace for those cold winter nights. Self catering... Braai is best!

Besides having to drive a bit to get to the nearest source of food, this place is in the perfect location. It's not the prettiest, by far, but it's got potential. Sheets are plastic but there are lots of beds. The 'kitchen' situation is not ideal if you want to prepare meals. Water pressure was low (for cold water) and the shower drain has a slight smell. The host is super friendly and area was safe, and guests have lots of privacy.

What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful chalets, well equipped and very comfortable. Best part is they are pet friendly, which is great when travelling with your furkids.

I recently embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Safari Park in Colesberg and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of natural beauty and tranquility. The journey to our lodging was an adventure in itself, as we navigated through the park's rugged terrain in a 4x4 vehicle graciously provided by the owner. The rustic charm of the cottage combined with the soothing sounds of nature instantly transported us to a place of serenity. As dusk settled in, the night sky unveiled a celestial spectacle that took our breath away. The dedicated staff at Safari Park were exceptional. It awakened our senses, deepened our appreciation for the wonders of nature and provided us with lasting memories.

Exceeded My Expectations. Beautiful Pet Friendly Accommodation perfect for those travelling across country. Arrival and check in are easy and perfect for travellers making an over night stop. We let ourselves in using the code and our room was set up and ready for us to let ourselves into. This was easy and lovely after a long day of driving. We were checked on but didn’t have to make long conversation or go through procedures. The farm is right on the N1 and doesn’t add any additional travel time. The room photos online don’t do it justice. The beds are comfortable with crisp white linen and the softest blankets imaginable. It was amazing to curl up and put Netflix on and have WiFi access. The cutlery and crockery was perfect to make a quick dinner in the micro with. You can stop at the OK Foods in Colesberg. I was pleasantly surprised by the store and availability of goods. The room has been put together well and the fittings feel modern and new. The little lambs were such a nice extra. Too sweet. Microwave Fridge Shower Fireplace 3 beds Tv Dstv Netflix Braai facilities

My wife and I did not stay here but we had an accident just outside on the N1 due to a hail storm. The owners (RenΓ© and family) were on the scene within seconds. In the cold rain they comforted and assisted us all the way. They brought us coke and made sure we were warm enough. They stayed with us until after police left and only once we were well taken care of and all relevant parties were notified did they greet us. I cannot put in words how thankful we are for your assistance, RenΓ©. If this is the willingness you have to serve others then I cannot imagine how well your guests must be taken care of at Safari Park.

I would stay there anytime again. We found it better than our holiday apartment. It was clean and well equipped. The shower was nice and hot. The best for me was the white linen. Awesome

A perfect stop-over! We spent the night here on our roadtrip back to Joburg and were so impressed! Really comfortable beds, braai facilities, and wonderful staff. We were very surprised by the affordability for what you are getting - really everything that you need, and such easy access to the N1 to start your journey the next morning. Big shout out to the 2 women working there who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - thank you! Definitely will be back on our next roadtrip :)

I enjoyed my stay at Safari Park. My room was big with clean sheets and towels in the bathroom. I had expected from the position there would be road noise from the cars and trucks so expected it. I made a fire in the inside fire place and bought a bag of wood to keep the place warm as it was cold out. The braai place worked well. My place had a microwave, kettle, toaster so I was glad I had gas in my car to cover load shedding. Hot water in the shower and imagine my joy to discover an electric blanket on the bed to take out the chill! Katie looked after me, greating me at the gate. Somebody had arrived just before me without a booking and took their frustration out on her which was just not cool. Book, don't just pitch and expect people to make up for your lack of planning!

Most enjoyable visit. Took a pleasant walk in the veld with our dogs. The cottage is cozy, all went well. Surely we shall stay there again.

This is the ideal spot for those traveling to Cape Town and needing a stop over. It has everything you need and is close enough to a superette. Being able to do self check in and out is helpful when traveling and leaving early/coming in late.

A little rustic and right next to the N1. This guest house is perfect for an over night stay on route to Cape Town from Durban or vice versa. Exactly half way between the two. Well priced and very neat and clean. Can get very hot in summer so best book a chalet with an aircon. Winter is the best as there is a fireplace in the chalet. The water pressure in our chalet was a little bit of an issue but other than that I cant complain. Stayed there on 4 occasions and everytime it was wonderful.

Quaint place. Beautiful family rooms with all the basic necessities like a fridge, kettle, microwave, SmartTV. They also have a fire place in the room, that they offer to light for you if its cold It's easy to find, just off the N1. Just phone reception when you get to the main gate/ parking area, so someone can show you where to park and where your room is. There is also an area outside with a braai boma, should you wish to sit outside to view the stars. Really glad I found this place, it's a great cozy stop, on a long drive between Gauteng and Western Cape. The highway is audible from the room, but makes up for that with the comfy, warm bed.

The host is very friendly and helpful. We struggled to get a booking at the last minute. After really doing everything for us to have a comfortable stay, must say, the room was not up to standard.

Owing to a faulty geyser, we ended up staying in a tent-house and the stone-house. Both are relatively rustic, but clean and well provisioned. Views from the tents are better, and great for star-photography if that's your thing. Note that in the tents there are nocturnal visitors - insects, spiders and, briefly, a bat. The stone house is less permeable to visitors. We went on a game drive (other side of the highway) which any reasonable-clearance vehicle should make easily. Sedans probably not, and also the drive to the tents and stone-house may provide belly-bumps to low vehicles, though we saw a couple of cars that seemed to have made it fine.

Absolute value for money. If you do not stay over, you missed something good. Clean, comfortable bed, well equipped.

Set close to the N1 is a perfect stopover if driving between jnb and cpt. The rooms are in a very easy beautiful rustic setting. I received a warm welcome from JP and his wife Denise and was able to enjoy their company at their braai for the evening. Thank you very much for the lovely stay.
