Looked for a place that is not in the center of the tourist area, and this place had good reviews so we went in. One thing that is not relevant to my review or rating: Stop using online menus!! It's not comfortable, and it makes it harder to decide what you want. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place was clean and had a nice vibe. The restaurant uses disposable cutlery, made of wood, which is ok for the mix platter, but not so much for the pasta. If you do get the pasta, ask for real fork and knife. They have a few left, so if they can they will give it to you. We ordered a mix platter and two pasta dishes, with 2 glasses of wine. The wine was nice. Not bad. Not extremely good. Nice. Good for a quick lunch. The mix platter looked wow!! Colorful with different meats, cheeses, and some veggies. Really pretty. Too bad the taste doesn't match. It wasn't bad. Not at all. But I have made better tasting platters with ingredients I bought at the supermarket. The pasta dishes looked and smelled really good, and we were ready for a hearty dish. Again, the flavor didn't match the look. Again, it wasn't bad. It was just a little bland, or flat. The pasta ragu looked like it was cooked for many hours, like it should, but the flavor wasn't there. The ravioli had a nice filling, and the nuts on it added a nice crunch, but where is the flavor??? Where is the flavor of the butter, of the cheese, the cream, the salt?!? The total was €42 including a small bottle of water. Not very expensive as a price, buy not a good value for money, in my opinion.

We selected it based on its appearance while walking by and on great reviews. Without knowing it is sort of a chain. But it does not change the fact that the food it looks and taste great. Service was not always perfect but no big issue.

The products are amazing and the price reflects that. However, I think due to location and general popularity of the store, the staff wasn't breaking over backwards to help us out.

Loved the quality of the meat, wine was good and the coffee strong. Slightly quirky, student-like ambiance but enjoyable. Will come here again at our next visit to Siena.

My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago while visiting Siena and had a nice "Italian" dinner at this Restaurant. Would have left 3 stars if only considering the food/cost however, the staff was supper nice and provided top-notch service which merited a more favorable review. This place is re-vamping traditional Sienese dishes in a trendy atmosphere (props for succeeding at both) but falls short on the basics of the Taglieri and Carpacci. The prosciutto served on our Tagliero board was hard at one end, and certainly not fresh. Though there were no issues with the other items being served, this was greatly disappointing considering the plate cost $24 and was being served in a "Prosciutteria". The Carpaccio was more disappointing as the dish was overwhelmingly salty and had to be eaten with bread. The money spent on this dish certainly felt as if it were wasted The Tar-Tar, however, was incredible. Excellently prepared and worth every penny. My mouth is still watering thinking about it and I would return for this dish and the service alone the next time I am in Siena. I also liked that they offered a good beer selection along with an excellent wine selection. This may be the American side of me speaking, however a beer pairs very well with the food served here and I am glad that at least one place is serving it. Overall, I wouldn't shy from this place if you are a tourist. I have picky tastes in Italian food having spent all my summers growing up here. This place is great for a Romantic Italian Diner for two and provides an excellent atmosphere for such... just bring a little extra cash...

3.5 stars. Interior decorations are fun and the serving of the food is well presented but the side plates are paper plates which was a little strange. Good food and drinks (salad was great) but the waiter was so unfriendly and dismissive which really tainted our experience. It felt like he was annoyed to have to wait on us.

We were stunned by the meat & cheese platter, it was such a huge serving! (€20) the wines here are about €5 per glass. Loved it, would definitely come back again on our next visit to Siena.

Awesome décor, creatively and Artis tically put together, prompt and courteous professional service, good prices and unique food that stands out from nearby places. Not ideal for kids, but they were happy to offer up a tasty plate of pasta. Believe it not, even a vegetarian can eat there, not a vegan, but someone not 100% anti animal cuts. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and my wooden board full of cheese and salad and veg was beyond my expectations.

This little chain prosciutteria pops up in every Tuscan town, but this one in Siena is my favorite. Adorable outdoor seating. Very affordable, totally delicious. This was a super hearty mid-afternoon snack for us (with cold white and bubbly wine) and it was amazing!!

The platters were amazing, filling and a great value for the price. House wine is perfect. Stopped in for a late afternoon lunch and couldn’t finish all of the food. Great for vegetarians!

A really good place for antipasto and aperitivo! They have nice veg options too. A typical Italian vibe!

Nice place to have some wine and some cheese/meat platter. The place itself is very interesting due to the vintage design. Not clear though why the plates are single use. Would recommend this place!

Excellent platter of cold meats and cheeses, exactly what I wanted. The smoked deer caparcio was great, the beef tartar was a bit lacking in seasoning (I had the "traditional ") and was only okay. House wine is very good and very cheap. Would definitely go back and just order a different main.
