I’ve been going to Sunshine Smiles for a couple years now. I was pleased with the service prior to the practice changing ownership just as much as I have been pleased with the current owners. I’ve been seen by both Dr. Horng and Dr. Aleman. They are kind, knowledgeable, and go the extra mile to explain any findings or issues to you. Highly recommend this spot if you’re searching for regular dentists.

I had an incredible experience at Sunshine Smiles. I am a new patient and it was incredibly easy to make an appointment the following week. The staff is incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I also appreciate how nice the facility is.

I've had a great experience at Sunshine Smiles. I was a patient of the previous dentist who had this practice and she was great. When I heard she was leaving, I was a little hesitant but decided to give the new doctors a chance. I'M SO GLAD I DID. Dr. Horng is great. I went for my first cleaning on Dec 6th. He was so thorough and explained the status of everything going on. Fast forward to today, I went to to have a crown updated. Awesome experience. Everything was digitized and they make the permanent crown in office. I really appreciated that! Today I also got to meet Dr. Aleman and he was awesome as well. The staff is also very nice and caring. They also had a good soundtrack running today for the music in the office. :-) I'm really glad I decided to stay with the new doctors. They really are great and you can tell they're dedicated to their work and are also up on the advancements and technology in their field. So far I've truly had a five-star experience, and I don't throw those around lightly.

Had my first visit and apparently they are under new ownership now. I must admit the new doctors are incredibly nice and they recently remodeled the entire office. They have flat screen TVs and mouth scanners in the room which I’ve never seen before. The scanner was very cool to see. I’m happy and will definitely be coming back.

Sunshine Smiles is The best. Their business name speaks for itself. When i first walked in i was greeted nicely. The office is clean, The front desk receptionist was super nice and informative, Rachel was amazing. She explained everything to me, she always checked to make sure i was okay while cleaning, cleaned my teeth really good. I was so amazed. My doctor was amazing as well i love how informative everyone was. They even gave me a goodie bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste which i thought was so nice. Haven’t gotten one of those in years so it definitely made me smile. Sunshine smiles is definitely a dentist office i recommend for everyone.

I recently received dental work (Crowns/Root Canal) from Dr. Aleman and Dr. Horng. The customer service and professionalism I received from them and the technicians/assistants was exceptional. They make you feel at home and comfortable. I had some dental work done while I was serving in the military and unfortunately there were some complications. Dr. Aleman and Dr. Horng fixed everything and helped me avoid some costly problems that could have surfaced down the road. The root canal was pain free. From my experience, most offices rush you in and out and you're nothing more than a bill. Not here- they treat you like family. Really glad I took a chance on this highly recommended dental office.

I have always feared dentists… until I met the amazing Dr. Horng. I recently relocated to Maryland for work and needed a new dentist, so I decided to give this place a try. Dr. Horng had a very calming presence, which really helped because I was just so nervous. He was extremely gentle as he cleaned my teeth, kept on making sure I was still comfortable. Definitely one of the best teeth cleaning experience I’ve had! He educated me on how most of the damage on my teeth and previous dental works done all originated from me grinding. I mean… I do notice sometimes that my jaw muscle tense up but never related that to grinding. He told me about the future progression of my teeth if nothing was done and gave me professional advise on how to preserve my teeth. I do appreciate him telling me all these because no other dentists ever look at my teeth this way. Ah yes! Finally, I want to shout out to the friendly front desk staff. They made this appointment so easy and really made me feel welcomed!

Great practice. Saw Dr Aleman for my a broken tooth and he was able to explain what needed to happen, what to expect throughout the process, and next steps. Made sure I was able to communicate if I felt any pain and checked in throughout the procedure. Happy to call this practice the one I will keep going to.

Sunshine Smiles dental care is one of the best places in Silver Spring. My children and I have been going here for many years. They are super accommodating and flexible with the schedule. I had to get my Invisalign treatment and am super thankful for that because it has eliminated all my tooth problems and no more grinding. I don’t have anymore headaches from grinding teeth and flossing has become a breeze. This is by far my favorite place for the kids and I.

My husband and I both saw Dr Horng for a clean and checkup. He was ready for us immediately at our appointment times. The office is clean with modern equipment. We both felt like we were well taken care of. Dr Horng spent a good amount of time with each of us carefully reviewing pictures and x-rays. A much better experience than other places which keep you waiting then rush through your appointment. We have found our dentist!

I have severe dental anxiety, always have. I chipped a tooth and went into a panic and found the first place with an appointment and it was Sunshine Smiles. I’m so thankful. Dr. Aleman was so kind and explained everything. The whole staff was so accommodating to my nerves. They fixed the tooth and didn’t pressure me into coming back for a cleaning but I knew I needed one so we scheduled. I had that appointment today and the entire team was just as wonderful. The nerves still got me, and everybody gave me space to take breaks as needed! Highly recommend, just make sure to tell them you are nervous so they can help.

I had a great experience with Alyssa and Dr. Aleman at Sunshine Smiles! The environment was warm and welcoming and I felt there was plenty of time for me to ask questions. Both Alyssa and Dr. Aleman took plenty of time to review my history with me and shared a lot of information about what to keep an eye on and what to expect in the future.
