This is one of the places where I show my love for Adelaide, maybe with just a few minutes looking at the city after work. The water is still flowing, the trees are still green, the flow of people is passing, the traffic is busy at rush hour... Everything comes and goes as the eternal law of creation.

Vic Square at Christmas time is great! Check out the big tree, lights and water show. Nice open space. You'll need to visit around 830pm to see the Christmas tree light up. Music is played from this time as well.

It’s the centre of Adelaide yo. Good skate spot if that’s what you’re into. Otherwise it’s got good vibes and is close to the central markets as well. It used to have equipment hire with Totem Tennis in the grass but now that’s gone which low key sucks yo. Otherwise it’s good vibes and I like the fountains because yeah

Victoria Square, also known as Tarntanyangga, is a public square located in the heart of Adelaide, South Australia. The square covers an area of approximately 7.6 acres and is surrounded by several major streets, including King William Street, Grote Street, Wakefield Street, and Flinders Street. Victoria Square has a rich history dating back to the early days of Adelaide's development, when it was known as Market Square and served as a marketplace for farmers and traders. Over time, the square has been used for a variety of purposes, including as a site for public meetings, rallies, and celebrations. Today, Victoria Square is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, offering a range of amenities and attractions. The square features a large fountain, lawns, and landscaped gardens, as well as several public artworks and sculptures. There are also several cafes and restaurants located nearby, making it a great spot for a leisurely lunch or coffee break. Victoria Square is also home to several major events and festivals throughout the year, including the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Adelaide Christmas Pageant, and the Tasting Australia food and wine festival. In recent years, Victoria Square has undergone several renovations and improvements, including the installation of new lighting, seating, and public facilities. These changes have helped to make the square a more vibrant and attractive destination for visitors to Adelaide.

Just a little area in the middle of Adelaide, with areas to sit and relax with friends, run or exercise or play around. Honestly, there isn’t really much here at all. At night, they do light up some fairy lights above the square, which does add a little bit of appeal. Otherwise, there isn’t really much to it, in my opinion.

Great, grassy square in the centre of the city with loads of events going on throughout the year. Recently attended the Tasting Australia event and despite the rain and cold, there were plenty of heaters and cover.

The centre garden of the City of Adelaide. There is always something happening here, even if it is just to chill out and enjoy the statues, history and fountain and watch the world go by.. Close to The Adelaide Central Market, Catholic Cathedral, Tram Stop GPO

Just in the centre of the Adelaide city, it is a beautiful place to be here. In the morning, the place is mostly people travelling around to go to their offices. But after hours, its a delightful sight with whole garden area lightened by shining lights. A cool place to bring your children to play around.

It’s a beautiful place to visit anytime 😍if you are visiting now then you will have a Christmas vibes with an amazing decorations . There are food trucks and good place to spend your quality time with your loved ones . Hard to get parking near by it’s better to park in south terrace and take a tram which is for free.

Lovely place with a huge Christmas tree and food stalls.(might be only a Christmas thing). But it was very cool I think I saw Harry Styles.Yes you are able to play on the ground as of play ground I'm not sure about actually having playgrounds but it's cool place to go.There were porta potties so I'm not sure if there was permanent toilets and I assume the potties are gone since it's no longer Christmas.Yeah I would say it's dog friendly since there isn't any post man.Yes picnic is actually good it's a lovely space that's protected partial from sounds due to a sunken design were there's a risen portion around half the park.

Looks great during the summer. Good for some sunbath and have quality time with friends and family. Can be a good option for people working or studying around the companies or schools and have some break on the ground later. I wouldn't mind having a perfect me-time in the middle of the city too. Night looks vibrant with the lights and the fountain. P.S. the fountain looks great anytime of the day.

Fountains, bench seating and general vibe were fantastic 100% but our experience was somewhat marred by coming across a used syringe. We disposed of it, so some poor child didn't pick it up. Just perils of being in the city, I guess.

We attended the recent food festival that that had more to offer than just food. Coffee, craft beers, ciders & wines. Even got a free wine from the lovely RAA staff (I think that's right. I'm Victorian. We don't have them).

It's beautiful here, nice and joyful, especially with kids. Kids love that fountain in summers so if you have kids, do visit this on summer days they will have a ton of fun playing.

Surprisingly easy to navigate safely (given its size), Victoria Square Tarntanyangga is a gathering place as much as it is an artery for movement through the city. Many events are received and / or hosted here (including sports events and holiday festivals). The parks are nice and many people recreate; partaking in health, fitness and family activities throughout the day. Victoria Square is a place of respite for busy office workers and it can look stunningly beautiful. More native vegetation would be appreciated but the open spaces must be preserved for practical reasons. One other thing worth noting is the cooling effect of this green open space. It is significant and airflow is definitely increased within the city because of it, which is important because Adelaide is prone to hot summers.

It's a very nice square, it has a huge Christmas tree near Christmas and it has a big wonderful fountain on the other end. There are restrooms available, bins, cameras and an A.E.D is there as well.

Reminiscing Boxing Day 2001 in Adelaide . Thank goodness for food vending machines to keep us survive for 1 - 2 days, because all stores were closed.

Took the kids here in the evening to look at the large Christmas tree. We were all impressed with the light display. Unfortunately the area is slightly dirty with scattered rubbish.

Victoria Square (known as Tarntanyangga) is the central square of five public squares in the Adelaide city centre. Various activities are often held here. Especially on Christmas day, the huge and beautiful light Christmas tree is very attractive. The three rivers fountain at the south end of the square is also wonderful. It's very convenient to take bus and tram here.
