The burger is pretty good, a little heavier and greasier than expected. The bun gets kind of soggy with all the toppings. Burger is also on the smaller side. Price range for a burger is greater than $9 depending on your toppings. Fries aren’t crispy and more on the soft/soggy side despite being served hot. There is a place upstairs to eat as well as outside seating. I think Five Guys and Shack Shack are on par with this burger place.

Good burgers in a 2 story space. Order downstairs and take your food upstairs to a sit down dining area. The fries were a bit burnt as if the oil hadn't been changed but were made from real fresh cut potatoes. The burgers themselves were tasty, nice and filling. If you enjoy a giant burger you may want to get two -my teenage brother wanted another- but we were satisfied with just one. The shakes we tried (oreo, toasted marshmallow and malt) were all tasty.

My hesitation about eating here was that the portions would be insanely huge, the food would be greasy, and I'd leave bemoaning what an awful place. I was so wrong! The portions were PERFECT!!!! There wasn't a single bad food item. The onion petals, fries, burger, so darn good. Loved sitting outside to eat. You get that DC feel. Check out it.

Burger - pretty decent, fries - pretty bad, milkshake - pretty good. The burger had a lot going for it (had the Obama Burger), it was juicy and the flavors/sauces went well together, but it was really soggy and greasy immediately after it was prepared (ate in); overall pretty decent burger. The fries unfortunately were the worst part. Got the Village fries which adds rosemary and some seasonings. They had no salt on them and were very soggy and underfried, pretty big letdown. The milkshake was actually very good (cookies and cream), nice and thick w/ a good wide straw. If the fries had not been so bad, I'd consider coming back, but the fries are half the experience for me. Wouldn't eat here again (or would ask the fries to be well done).

The worst service I ever had probably, the girl was really not happy to be here. No smile, no hello, no please, no thanks, she didn't even looked at me that was crazy.. Also they forgot our order , so we wait more without any apologize.. The food was good, but please do something about our staff, probably a training to explain how smile and how be cordial

Being avid fans of Top Chef, my wife and I were excited about trying this restaurant knowing it's owned by Spike. I have to say, I wasn't disappointed! The restaurant is just a short walk from the Capitol building, so we walked there after our tour. My burger was fantastic and the cheese fries were really good. My wife got a salad with grilled chicken and that was very well seasoned and grilled. The cookie for dessert was also very good - soft and chewy with great flavor. I'm very glad we ventured out there!

Good spot for lunch or dinner. Fifteen minutes hike from the main museums and monuments so it feels a little more secluded. Food was delicious, my wife and I split a burger and fry combo. If you are hungry I'd get your own combo though. Burgers are a 1/3 lb patties but they were generous with the fries Inside seating had cool patriotic vibes and there was outside seating as well with good shade.

The food was extremely fresh. I had the salad and it was good. We ordered sugar free lemonade and had to wait until we were almost finished eating to get it, because it had to be made. These things happen of course, but definitely would have made the meal better to have it all at one time. The hamburger was ordered in our group and they said it was great!

Burger is good. Juicy patty, melted cheese, and well toasted bun. Fries are horrible, soggy and greasy. Waiting time is crazy. I waited at least 20 mins to get my order, while the store has many cooks and not that many customers. Staff are extremely friendly.

Honest-to-god burger that hits the spot. I got the basic Farmhouse Burger. The beef patty was juicy, and the veggies were fresh. I liked the complementary sauces (I got the mango and chipotle mayos: mango didn’t particularly taste like mango, but was slightly sweet and went well with the meal). Also appreciated that the bun was well-toasted, so I didn’t disintegrate into a mush while you’re eating the burger. Really my only gripe was that I expected to be floored by this burger, given the hype. But if you’re in the area and craving a burger, Good Stuff Eatery is a great spot.

Well first of all the wait was ridiculously long for a burger fries and a milkshake. Had to wait a half hour for it. Also we couldn't eat in the restaurant cause the seating was closed cause they had a party going on a Saturday mind you. They told us to eat outside or go next door. And it wasn't one of those beautiful days either. The burgers were really small for the price. The fries were under done. And had to wait an extra 10 minutes for the shake to be done. Cause they forgot to make it. Maybe I caught it on a bad day or they were just busy like this day. But they need to fix the problem of not eating inside the establishment. Really disappointed. Probably go to the Mexican restaurant next door next time. The place is soooooo small that you kept on running into people while waiting for your order. SMH!!!

It was good! I got the mushroom burger to try something different and it was tasty and filling. The fries were super crunchy! I ordered Cajun fries but I think I only got regular. Try the mango sauce!!

Needed a burger makeup day and this was the perfect pick. Service was very quick with no wait and the cashier was super sweet. Ordered the Spikes Sunnyside with Cajun fries and a salted caramel shake. My shake came first and let me tell you this was so creamy and fresh. Apparently they churn their own cream and you can tell from your first pull on the straw. But don’t get caught up because you still need to eat that BURGER!! The burger was great you can tell they are freshly made and it was juicy. The egg set it off and the cheese was perfectly messy. If you want a great messy good to the soul burger fry and shake stop in and grab you one. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Also plenty of condiments 😁

The burger was very good. Thick and semi juicy so overall not bad. Loved the seeded bun. The fries were very hot which was nice. Regular size is pretty big so beware when ordering. Tight space for sitting and it was upstairs but most places on that strip section are like that. The food also took a minute longer then I would have thought but considering it was super hot and fresh, it was no biggie

I like the burger here and that is from someone who is not a fan of burgers. They didn't ask how you like your burger cooked but that's ok for a casual spot. And the burgers were still cooked nicely. They have some interesting sauces like the mango sauce which is a creamy sweet sauce that pairs well with some hot sauce

This is a go to spot when in DC. Stayed in Crystal City and had the melt this time. Definitely a good burger. The coffee shake was the best coffee shake….ever. So much flavor and I love their french fries. Not the cheapest per se but you get a lot for the money. The regular fries would likely feed 2-3 people, depending on how much one eats. I’ll be back (tonight) and next time I am in the DC area.

Okay, so Good Stuff Eatery is finally getting reviewed because of something I noticed on my last visit. I've been here off and on for years, and it's mostly been fine. The burgers are always a-OK if a bit soggy, same with the fries. However, someone mentioned to me that they started surreptitiously charging a service fee labelled as a COVID-19 charge. It's one thing to clearly let a guest know you're charging them a service fee, and giving them the opportunity to decline. That's not the case here. As far as I can tell, there's no mention of the charge on their menu display in store, no mention of it on their website, the cashier did not mention it, and the charge is hidden even when you're checking out. The POS display only showed my two items ordered and a total with the service charge included, but not itemized. It wasn't until I got my receipt that it's shown, with no explanation. Frankly, this is embarrassing. This is the kind of stuff that loses customers. If you're gonna charge it, say it or wait ... raise your prices? 4-ish stars for the food, 1 star for the ethics. Averaging out to about 2.

Right in downtown DC, Good Stuff Eatery will stuff you with food. I got the prez burger, which had Applewood bacon, onion marmalade, Roquefort cheese, and horseradish mayo. The burger was delicious, the fries were great, and they had a nice variety of dipping sauces for your fries (or your burger). They also had milkshakes which everyone else, but me, had with their burger.

We saw this restaurant featured by Michael Simon on his show and had to check it out. Locally sourced ingredients and a laid-back casual atmosphere. And amazing burgers cooked perfectly! We tried the Old Bay sauce on the fries and it was a hit too! Come hungry! Can't wait to go back the next time we are in DC!

Food was delicious, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The Toasted Marshmallow shake was AMAZING!! My only regret was that we didn't find it sooner.

I think these burgers were quite mid grade. I was expecting big burgers and great flavor and they were quite small and nothing special. I had the steakhouse burger (see picture) and my son got the good stuff melt. I had the toasted marshmallow shake which tasted slightly like caramel but mostly vanilla flavor. I never would’ve guessed it was toasted marshmallow. The fries were pretty goos, seasoned well. My son got the pumpkin shake which was worth getting as it had chunks of pie crust and tasted like pumpkin. We also got a milky way shake which had good Carmel flavor, but not chocolate flavor.
