Such a cool place! Stop by the visitor center and pick up one of their excellent color coded maps. There are a couple of driving loops to enjoy along with the trails. It's absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We didn't have time for a long hike so I really hope to come back. There are binders within the park. One of them is open and has the most amazing acoustics! Much better than singing in the shower! It's worth a trip just to go into the bunker. Apparently, they were used to store TNT in during WWII.

Literally most unbelievable park I’ve ever been too. Mountain Bikes? RoadBikes? Echo Chambers? Place to ride my Scooter fast? Check!

The beauty in nature here was so thrilling. The leaves were cruching underfoot, the sky above the deepest blue, the air fresh and clean, the sounds of nature singing in my ears and my eyes were taking in the splendor of nature with delight. The trails are well maintained. A great place to go on a hike with your dog, a friend or just enjoy the company of nature alone. I highly reccomend it.

Love this spot. Lots of multi-use trails, for walking, mountain bikes. Easy trails there is one up by the visitor center that is a “Childrens trail” sponsored by a local school. Along the trails there are poems written by kids from the school. I read one from a kid that could be the next Allen Ginsburg. I challenge you to go find it and read it for yourself. The picture is Hidden Lake trail. There is a nice picnic area.

Came here from Atlanta for mountain biking and was pleasantly surprised with the very well taken care of trail system. The route was well-marked as long as you pay attention to the signs and the trail maps are great. The remains of the storage bunkers that you find on the trail are really cool; don't forget to shout at the top of your lungs when you're inside of one for the insanely awesome reverberate echo. RE: Mountain Biking Trail-wise it reminded me of all the flow and jumps you'd find in Dupont State Forest; just missing the waterfalls. I always love the small skills practice areas by trail heads and Enterprise delivered on that as well. Excited to return.

One of the best parks near town for mountain biking and hiking. Security watches the gates to ensure you leave on time (closing is approximately at dusk and posted on entry gates).

It was gorgeous. Also the trails are great to bring small kids on because they are not steep or narrow. There are also different trails mingle with each other so if you want a short or long hike you can add on. There is lots of nature and as you see in the photos you are walking in a fall wonderland.

This park has is a great place for day hikes all ages, mountain biking, and even horse back riding! I love the well maintained hiking trails. For those who need it there are benches along the way, a perfect picnic area by Hidden Lake (pond), also a few surprises.

Well maintained, fast mtb trails! Black Forest-TNT-LogRhythm were fun at about 10mi. Great for beginners to intermediate riders.

Tranquil trails, nature, plus a bit of history as an added bonus. Our first of many hiking adventures here in Tennessee. Can't wait to explore more of the trails.

This area is very well maintained, and there are a lot of various hiking points along with biking. It's nice that there are maps at the little office area they have, but keep in mind if you walk on the area where vehicles can drive on all pedestrians are supposed to be on a certain side of the road. Just follow all the signage and instructions around. A police vehicle does patrol around to make sure people are walking on the correct side. Lots of easy trails around, but some are moderate in my opinion. Will be visiting again with how much I enjoyed it.

Wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. Many trails for hiking, biking, and horseback. Lots of wildlife. Only complaint is that you can't carry your legal firearms. Only criminals and those wishing to cause you harm can legally carry. You are merely a future unarmed victim. Very sad when people don't use common sense. It's not the ones who obey the laws and are good citizens that we need to worry about. But they're the only ones obeying this requirement.

Great trails and very clean. Everyone here is respectful of the space and generally keeps to themselves. Tho every interaction I have had has been pleasant. The new dog park is GREAT! Lots of shade and plenty of engaging tasks for your four legged friends!

Kudos to Hamilton County for the exemplary job done at this park; thorough maintenance, patrols, and frequent improvements, and the fact that during this pandemic the park has remained open results in a 5 star rating.

Excellent place to hike, well marked, well cared for, contained, dog friendly- we went here twice during our week stay in Chattanooga. Rules state dogs must be on leash- but it was so big I walked for 45 min and never saw anyone -

  • 4/5 Kellen S. 5 months ago on Google
Awesome park that has decent and easy hiking trails, paved paths to jog, cycle,or push strollers. A new dog park, mountain bike trails, and bathrooms to boot. They have old bunkers you can go visit along the trails and a decent sized reflection pond. An easy place to enjoy a fun filled outing.

We're taking our energetic pup to this park nearly every day, hoping she will run out of gas eventually (unlikely). A really nice dog park.... a large fenced area, lots of trees, some agility features, a splash pool, sandbox and excellent maintenance. So far, we've experienced responsible owners and friendly dogs of all shapes and sizes. This nature park includes hiking trails, one-way roads for vehicles, decent parking, and restrooms. Highly recommend!

Great park. Beautiful trails that are well maintained. Helpful signs to educate you about the various trees. Great history about the Volunteer Army Ordinance plant that used to occupy the space. Cool old bunkers from a bygone era. This is a great place for a walk, a run or a ride. By yourself or with family and friends.

My favorite spot for a quick tail run after work . Also a great spot for mushroom hunters. Bugs are never really a problem there which is nice. But the rangers will run you out at closing time lol

Nice easy walking trails. Woody. Feeling of walking is good on the soft soils covered with leaves. If you are looking for little hills for exercise, then White oak trail in collegedale is better.

Park rangers patrol this place consistently and it makes you feel good. We love it here. Nice trails and there's even bathrooms! The bunkers are so cool too, the acoustics inside them are unreal!

  • 5/5 Tasha S. 3 years ago on Google
Really nice nature park. There are restrooms, but it's basically a hole in the ground, will do in a pinch. There is a paved loop that goes around the whole park and several nature trails. Good for children and a stroller would do well on some of them.

  • 5/5 Amy D. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice trails, a great spot to bring the family. Perfect for a stroll or bicycle ride. You can choose to ride on the trails or the paved road.

  • 5/5 Neal B. 3 years ago on Google
It's a hiking walking running and biking of all types. A variety of skill / difficulty levels rated on the map that's free at the entrance, as well as posted. Dog friendly. It has interesting features.
