We visited Pennhurst this past Saturday during Paracon. Every single employee we encountered was kind and helpful. Bernie and Donna were fantastic and shared their insights with us regarding their employment at Pennhurst. We checked out the museum and soaked in all the information we possibly could. We did the 90 minute history tour and it was beyond AMAZING! Our tour guide was Joey and she was phenomenal. I cannot thank the new owners enough for wanting to respect the souls who died at Pennhurst and for working tirelessly to preserve this site. I will tell any and everyone I know about this place to help tell the story of Pennhurst. Continuing the fight for individuals with disabilities is vital. We will be back and would love to do the 3 hour history tour. Also turns out that I had an uncle who was a resident at Pennhurst in the early 1900's. I'm going to try to learn more about him and how he died at Pennhurst.

Kaeden was an amazing and friendly tour guide. If you come here, do the history tour. It really gives you an understanding of the site and the people that lived there. Will definitely come again. I hope they don't tear it all down and continue to at least try and preserve as many buildings as possible.

Had an amazing time this past weekend at Pennhurst. The staff was absolutely unbelievable especially Kenzie and Autumn, thank you for making us feel like part of your family and all the pointers. The infirmary was amazing, so grateful we had the opportunity to see it and I hope they keep it open so everyone could experience it. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Absolutely recommend, always something new to learn or see. The history tour is incredibly informative, the staff is phenomenal, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There's so many different events to engage in, cannot wait to go back and check out the paranormal tours, the Halloween attraction, the photography tour, and the campouts. Really enjoy the merch. Looking forward to going back soon!

The tour guides and staff are amazing!!! This is an incredible part of America’s history and everyone should visit. I’m so glad we were able to see the infirmary- it is an important part of the grounds. It should absolutely stay and be apart of the tours.

Spent the afternoon touring Pennhurst. Had an excellent tour, our guide was Emily, she was full of information about the history of the complex, and then went to the museum building, where we met Donna and Bernie for stories of their time working there. I can’t imagine working floors of 75 people with a staff of 2 aides!!! It is both heartbreakingly sad and hauntingly beautiful at the same time.I’ve always wanted to check this place out , so glad I finally did!!

My aunts and I went on the overnight ghost tour. The guides were amazing! Joey was great and very knowledgeable. She, and the other guides, were so passionate and empathetic towards the history of the school and the residents who lived there. I’m still not sure if I believe in ghosts, but the spirit and memories of the people who lived there is kept alive in these guides, and they are doing amazing work. I look forward to going back! Loved the infirmary too and Candyland.
