Fantastic vacation as always. Going there always feels like home. The room upgrades are nice and the staff are great, especially Naz, Nicholas, Ian and David. The location is great for a relaxing trip, beach is still intact unlike 7 mile. Highly recommend the Sting Ray city tour booked by Chris Butcher and his team. Jim was a great host and got us set up for the week full of events. Last but not least is Captain Herman, fishing was great and as an added bonus he will clean and prepare a great meal using the days catch including fresh conch. Can't get any fresher.

Our first stay in Grand Cayman. Morritt's Resort was a great choice. We had a two bedroom villa with an Oceanside view. Wonderful to sit on either of our balcony's and watch the water sports and the Caribbean Sea. Good food and good service from the resort. Took the Stingray City boat tour on Wednesday from Rum Point public docks. Watched sunset at Starfish Point. Beautiful!! Great pharmacy service on the boat. Great snorkeling. Very good restaurant at resort. Monday night Welcome party was worth the cost and fun. Get to meet others staying at Morritts with you.

My family and I have stayed here a few times. The resort has everything you could want and need - beach, bar and grill, restaurant, water sports, activities, pools. There is a little strip mall across the resort that has a gift shop, liquor and grocery store. Perfect for picking up what you need. The resort is located on the quieter East End, which we prefer. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing, the staff is absolutely wonderful and the room upgrades are great. The resort is kept exceptionally clean. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. I always cry when we leave. Can't wait to revisit. FIVE STARS!!!!!

The resort was decent, but they do tend to add a bunch of extra charges, which can be a bit unsettling. It's quite a distance from 7 Mile Beach and other attractions like stingray city. The $120 cab fare from the airport to the resort was pricey. If you don’t mind driving then a rental would be a more affordable option. The beach area at Morritt’s had a lot of seaweed, making it less swim-friendly. On the positive side, my room was clean and well-maintained. The bar was great and karaoke was a blast. Be cautious about losing room key wristbands, as they charge $10 for replacements. Again, I found the fees for the stay to be outrageous. I expect resort fees but not a bunch of additional junk fees. I would recommend staying if you want a peaceful friendly vacation with an ocean view and don’t plan on going to many attractions.

Great location for this resort. However they don’t tell you that you need shoes to enter the water without cutting your feet on the coral reef that runs along the shoreline in front of the resort. Also, do not count on any of the advertised activities as we saw none actually occurring during our stay. David’s restaurant is good but never saw anyone in the Caravan Night Club

Overall great time on the East side of the Island, beautiful 1hr ride to Run Point with lots to stop and see on the way to and from. The rental car was Great and very Cheap for the week, fuel was our expense as we traveled every day to the West, Seven Mile Beach area as that's where my parents were staying. Thanks

I’m having buyer’s remorse. A year ago we purchased the time share. The units are nice, clean and most have lovely views. However, the management is rude and surly. I was rudely reprimanded in front of other guests, and my family for not having my hotel bracelet on. I was at fault, I did not have it on. However, the language and the attitude of Dennis, the entertainment director, addressed me was humiliating. I was also scolded about parking in a handicap parking spot, even though I had a handicap tag. (My wife recently broke he leg and requires a chair or a walker.). The front desk when we were checking in, were taking multiple customers at the same time, AFTER we waited in the cue for 10 minutes to be waited on. The policies of the resort are more aligned to make money, than accommodate the guests. (No personal drinks or food at the pool, no welcome drinks etc.). Guests are treated like naughty children when they aren’t acting within policy. I am a seasoned traveler. I have stayed in resorts and hotels in 63 countries. This is by far, the most rude, unaccommodating, arrogant, surly, untrusting policies and staff I have ever dealt with. Don’t be caught up in the sales pitch. DON’T BUY HERE!

Rooms are decent. Decor is nice. Mimi's dock is awesome, and the views are fantastic. It is on the opposite side of most attractions but makes for a calmer area and its only 25 -45 minutes to most attractions on the other side. *Update* I forgot to add the houskeeping was amazing! We were never low on fresh towels :)

Very arrogant owner David Morritts. Our room was near his and his TV was cranked so loud we could hear it Word for Word in our room. We asked the front desk to have him turn it down in the next night it was louder. It runs all day even when he leaves the apartment. Stay away from the building 3 has that is where he lives

awful staff experience We were checked in and on our second night we noticed that the aircon in our room was not cooling. We called the front desk and they sent a person (black guy with long braids) to check. The staff went in our room with his shoes on and checked thr thermostat and told me that there was nothing wrong and we just need to wait. I told him that the temp was not going down for the past 6 hours and it was already night time and our room was uncomfortably hot. The staff came up to me and with a very condescending and disrespectful tone and asked me if I even know how an aircon works and insist on letting us wait and dashed off our room. Very very rude. Morrits, you shouldnt keep people like this in your hotel. I will not be back.

We stayed for a week ending a few days before hurricane Ian hit here. The food at David’s was excellent. I had the seafood linguini. Fresh and tasty. We stayed as time share owners and I was shocked that we had to pay $180 CAN Utilities for our use of electricity for one week !! We even turned it down when we left for the day. It’s appalling to me cause we also pay a $10 per day time share tax. So next we will have to pay every time we flush the toilet or why not an Environment tax because we rented a car staying at the hotel? I’ve never had to pay utilities in 20 years of time share and VRBO etc Where does it end? Drinks were $23 each. Take your extra fees from that. My time share resort that I exchanged doesn’t charge for utilities! Imagine if they did the cost of natural gas in the middle of winter in Alberta. They cleaned the room each day so that was great. Resort was clean and safe and lots of great activities. Ditch the utilities fees!!

Old Room 1980s in need of serious updating. Fire detector went off constantly every time we cooked. Electric bill for week only using the air at night $136 USD plus $10/night tax in addition to the RCI charge for 6 nights in 2 bed/ 2 bath unit. They do not provide Shampoo just bar of soap and there are no grocery stores open on Sunday and very little access to purchasing any Shampoo on Sundays without really going out of the way. No dishwasher in our unit. Good location for snorkeling, the beach and pools were kept up. Staff did good at dumping garbage and towel service daily. Half way thru the week, it got very windy 25 mile/hr winds on this side of the island, so you couldn't go to the beach at the resort. We traveled 40min to 1 hr to get to the 7 mile beach where the winds and ocean were calm. Small Foster grocery store right down the road. Keep in mind, Grocery store and the liquor store near by is closed on Sundays, as are all Grocery stores on the Island.

My husband and I love this resort. We are here for the month of October and have been here for two weeks now. If your looking to laying on the beach and read a book, GOOD LUCK !!!! Every morning the beach is cleaned with a loader / pull behind rack. The problem is it goes on for hours. Starts around 9 and at 11:30 he’s still on the loader doing the same thing, raking the sand. The operator drives it around all the quest, so close you can feel the heat from the loader and there’s the dust and engine smell. Several people have complained by phone and going to the front lobby (including ourselves) and every day it continues. Management thinks it’s a joke because we get brushed off, people leave there chairs to go in their unit or head to the pool. It’s really sickening to think we have another two weeks to go at this construction site !!!! Marilyn

Morritt’s in Grand Cayman is our Happy Place! My husband & I went with family as teenagers, with friends in college, got engaged & honeymooned there, and continue to enjoy ownership, especially with an upgrade to ocean front view this year! Excited to get back for a beautiful, relaxing stay with as much or as little activity as you like on a given day. Everything is easy to get to & do if you want to explore the island, and the resort arranges all kinds of activities & amenities, so you can just stay super local if you prefer.

We visited in May 2022. Stayed by the Premier Pool. Rooms were nicely updated. Front desk and housekeeping service excellent. The beach was well maintained and very easy to get chairs. Bar tenders super friendly and drinks were excellent. The food was excellent. No complaints at all. Very relaxing and fun vacation.

My parents have been coming here for 30-plus years, and each time we come back, I am in awe of this view! Sandy beach, ocean views, multiple pools to choose from, and fun activities for whatever vibe you’re going for. Special shout-out to Denis & Kayla, the activities directors, as they make each day fun and exciting! Family-friendly, but also a “quiet pool” for those looking for a calm environment, there really is something for everyone. The rooms are a little outdated, but they have everything you could need; fully furnished kitchen, big table for dinner/games, tv area, and a deck to enjoy the breeze and your coffee. There is a small grocery store just across the street, for anything you may need outside of the plethora of food options within the resort.

Great location, away from hustle and bustle in the West side, quiet tranquil with plenty of activities. The rooms are great, clean and well maintained. All the amenities like pool, bar, restaurant. Best is the staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Pro tip: they have welcoming party every Monday with buffet and 2 free drinks at bar. Their staff and help advise and organize excursions. Snorkeling is great under the pier of their bar. Tons of fish there.

This resort is located out on the East end, which is less populated. But access to the same great water and about a 45 minute drive from Georgetown. I really enjoyed the location, the staff was great and I would return... Also food on the result is pretty good 4/5.

Unfortunately, we are in one of the older units, located just off the main road, with views of the adult pool. The unit is in desperate need of a renovation. There is no dishwasher, the countertop is chipped formica, many of the floor tiles are cracked, the chairs on our deck are plastic bucket chairs, the shower is an ancient tub style, the fridge is tired, and the decor is at least 20 years old. We traded a fabulous two bedroom in Palm Desert for this. It was advertised as a 5 star resort. That being said, the location can't be beat. The temperature is perfect. The pools are great. Service is slow but very polite.

Enjoyed a fabulous week at Morritt’s Resort. The beach and swimming are fantastic in the clear blue waters of the Cayman Islands. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The food and cocktails at the restaurant and bar or enjoyed by myself and my guest.

A nice place to kick back after a long week at work. Away from the city hustle and bustle great place to have a peace of mind and if you change your mind a pool bar, saturday karaoke. Other restaurants and bars in property. Love this place.

Rooms very small we had a 1 bedroom should only fit 3 so small, was like a studio that had a bedroom. Small bathroom no tv in bedroom. Beds were a bit uncomfy. We couldn’t book excursions for 3 days because they assigned us someone who was off for 3 days and apparently no one else could help us. Until he finally was assigned to work. So 3 days of our vacation were spent waiting to book excursions. I was told that no one comes in on their first day of vacation to book excursions and I should go have a drink and relax, because I was on vacation. Drinks at the pool bar were $17.50 US dollars and were not good. The only good bartender was Whitney who did make good drinks. Bring your own alcohol. The coffee cafe in lobby my niece was charged $4 the first day for a cup of coffee, which went up around a $1 a day by the last day they charged her $8 for the same cup of coffee. Place was empty when we stayed there and I was supposed to get a room upgrade but was told they were booked to capacity, which was a complete lie. There were hardly any guests. You could always get a chair at any pool or beach whatever time you went. Activities were ewww and the bar that they supposed to use at night was closed I think it was open one night which I stayed in. We tried to go a few times and it was closed. I believe they have a pool table in there so we wanted to go play pool because there is NO night life there and it was closed couldn’t even play pool. Place was clean and nice but not if you’re looking for activities. Welcome party was the only thing that was really fun. Food at restaurants there was amazing. But everything was pricy. I forgot to mention they charge you for electric.

Great place, fantastic staff and amenities. Great tours and food. Kayla the activities director is top notch and the Capitan Hermon fishing and island cooking experience is a must for any fishing and seafood lover.. Only criticism is they do not say on websight what they include with amenities. Examples; No coffee filters, coffee, salt and pepper, dish soap, sponges, laundry soap, etc. Most resorts supply enough to get through the day but Morrits does not. Being told they don't have anything coffee filters, on a Sunday morning when you just want to sit on the lovely balcony over looking the beach and being told to try the bar when everything else is closed on Sunday is kind of a pain. I don't expect them to provide them but it would be nice if there was a paragraph that said what was and was not included in the room with the amenities provided. Definitely be back next year.

As an owner I wonder where my maintenance fees are going? Unit problems: safe that wouldn’t lock, commode that wouldn’t stop running, dishwasher that didn’t work, utility door that doesn’t open. You would think they would place the owners in working units. Now our maid can’t wait for us to leave 2 he’s before checkout time.

Our first trip to Morritt’s was in 1992 and we’ve raised our son coming here and have created the most fabulous memories. Morritt’s continually updates the resort and It keeps getting better every year and is where we want to spend our annual 2-week vacation. The staff have become our friends, are always concerned with making our stay the best, and treat us like family. Why would we go anywhere else? We love it here at Morritt’s.

We are owners at the Morritt's and we have found it to be a beautiful, restful place, away from the hustle & busy Georgetown area. The staff that work there are amazing. The restaurants and food are the best. Location would be better if there were more reliable taxi services. If u don't rent a car your STUCK. Bus service is available but taxi service would be appreciated. Tukka's restaurant actually came and picked us up & was a Great place to eat. Going back to taxi service, Leon's Taxi was to pick up our daughter on Tuesday, but to our dismay he was a no show at the airport. Our daughter had to grab a cab which cost her $130. US dollars. Morritt's needs to look into more taxi services for the guests that don't wish to drive while on vacation.

Rooms are very nice. Family friendly with an adult pool. Itinerary is inaccurate, so we missed some seemingly fun events. Had to pick up all the food I ordered at the resort. Host department was the absolute worst. My host wasn't there so I was just told come back days later instead of someone being willing to help me. When I finally got him, he was not helpful with excursions at all, just kept telling me rent a car (they drive on the left, I wasn't playing that game). Resort is half a mile from an Italian restaurant and grocery store. American dollar is only 80 cent in cayman currency

We were finally able to return to Morritts for our 2020 trip last week. Had a great time. We really like the remodel of the Grand. No more ice skating on that old white tile. We were sad Ivan's is gone. Also the Premier pool was very warm. Sad the palm tree island is gone. So happy Nadine is still there. Her hospitality is amazing. Best bar tender in Cayman. We really enjoyed Dennis. He works very hard and does well with the activities. We also like the new location of the gym, the new tennis courts and the addition of the volleyball court lines. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is Premier pool and the loss of Ivan's.

I love love love this resort. Have been going for 15 years. The staff is super friendly and the place is always being cleaned (inside and out). The location includes convenient stores across the street - everything you possibly could want/need is right there!

  • 3/5 Michelle 2 years ago on Google
The hospitality was awful all throughout the resort. The people were just too busy. I was also disappointed in my unit, but had to make it work after they would not move me. A dirty cleaning rag was left. Rug was not vacuumed and in general the unit needed repairs. The air conditioner leaked from the second on to the first floor. My first few meals were not that great either. And the biggest disappointment was the smelly seaweed that piled upon the beach. I actually cried. Naz from the restaurant was great. He was lively, engaging, and very welcoming. I ended up leaving the resort on day 4 of 8 and checking in to another hotel for the remainder of my stay. The visit to Seven Mile beach and George Town was awesome and made the vacation a wonderful experience after all.

We have owned a timeshare at Morritts for over 20 years. The reservation process is the smoothest of any place I’ve ever been and the people act like they remember you when you call. The rooms are always ready and we’re able to get an extra one for a maintenance fee - never have been turned down. The amenities and the dock and the water sports are so fun for our family. I don’t have a negative comment at all!

  • 5/5 Dee B. 2 years ago on Google
What a fantastic stay - It was a wow experience staying at the resort. Excellent ambience, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Nicely located resort with all facilities of a 5 star. The resort was so relaxing, calm and peaceful. Will definitely visit you again :) An overnight stay is definitely not enough and I highly recommend this resort.
