Walking in the door is like walking into another world. Beautiful retail setup for all your decorative/decoration needs! All the old fashioned candy you can think of. Sit down and in enjoy a Hot meal in the oil lamp atmosphere. Weither it's breakfast, dinner or anything in-between they have something for everyone. Kids menu is awesome with great portions. Parking lot is huge to fit everyone's needs. Camper/RV or just a regular vehicle etc. Staff is friendly and eager to help. Management is always around for any personal needs as well. Restrooms are clean and well kept.

Embarking on my first-ever American cuisine experience, I chose Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for dinner. Stepping into a different world, the charming atmosphere, nostalgic candies, and beautiful retail setup created a unique dining backdrop. The hot meal options, perfect for dinner or any time, provided a delicious introduction to American culinary delights. The spacious parking lot, friendly staff, and attentive management enhanced this memorable first encounter with U.S. cuisine. Clean and well-kept restrooms added to the overall positive impression. A delightful initiation into American culinary delights – certainly not disappointed.

Great visit. Seating was quick. A little slow bringing beverages, but forgot about that once the food arrived. Best CB cook, and we visit a lot of CBs! Raise for them, please. Larger than usual serving sizes. Other CBs, please take note of the photo. Everyone's meal was to their liking. Thank you.

Our experience today was embarrassing horrible. I've been to cracker barrels all over the country and enjoyed the experience everytime. Never again will I be visiting the cracker barrel closest to my own home though. The experience started off bad, we put our names down (including our phone number) to get a table and were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. We wandered around the gift shop as 10, then 20, then 30 minutes passed, never hearing them call anyone's names. Finally we moved to the candy section thinking our turn would come soon, where we watched a group come in, and get seated immediately. Confused we walked up to the stand to find out where our name was on the list. After 3 different employees walked up to the stand and ignored us, one finally stopped and asked us "how many?" I replied that I was just trying to find out where our name was on the list, to which she laughed and said they hadn't had a wait for a while. My husband and I both replied with looks of confusion that we put our names down 30 minutes ago and were told there would be a 15 minute wait. That's when a manager came over and chastised us for waiting so long before saying something. She proceeded to also laugh at us because again "we haven't had a wait for a long time!". So things started strong, we decided to brush it off because we were both really looking forward to eating in at cracker barrel which we understandably hadn't done for a long time. 10 minutes passed sitting at the table before a server finally appeared and rushed to take our drink and food order. Another 10 passed before we received our drinks from a different server, who said she would be back with straws and didn't appear again for another 10 minutes. Our food took a reasonable amount of time to come out, but was brought by yet another server. We didn't see our actual server (the one that took our order) again until we were almost done with our food, which had clearly sat in the back for some time as it was all cold except for my fish which I assume the rest of the food just waited for. At one point during our meal a different server noticed that our drinks were empty and offered to bring refills, which we greatly appreciated. My husband guzzled his immediately, and I took a few sips of mine before realizing that it was in a remarkably dirty cup. I even scraped the dirty part and said to my husband "please help convince me this is some of the peach flavoring" as we were drinking peach tea. He assured me it definitely was not the flavoring. The second time that we saw our server (when she gave us the check) she proceeded to tease my husband for not eating all of his mac n cheese and didn't take the hint when he remained quiet but clear that he did not want a box. The macaroni was cold and runny, we definitely would have eaten it if it was palatable! Then she decided to tease me because I didn't drink the refill of my peach tea. I clearly stated that the cup was dirty (which was very obviously noticeable as seen in the picture included in this essay) she laughed and asked if I wanted a drink to go then. At that point we just wanted to get out of the building as quickly as possible. We had been looking forward to trying the new alcoholic drinks and having dessert, but that was completely out of the question with the service. We originally went today to have breakfast but by the time we were seated only the lunch menus and limited breakfast menu were available. The icing on the cake was when I tried to pay on my phone as advertised on the table. The QR code provided took me to a website which instructed me to download an app that I was unable to locate in the play store, so I had to go to the register to pay. I watched the woman at the register walk away from it, instruct someone else to come to it to help me, who then instructed someone else to come to it to help me before I could finally pay. She proceeded to yell over my head to her friend the entire check out process, never looking at me or saying a word directly to me.

I am from Mississippi and I was visiting this restaurant in Caseyville, IL for a funeral. On Sunday, August 15 me and my cousin decided to have breakfast and as I always order when I visit any Cracker Barrel is pancakes with strawberry toppings. I was given molded and brown strawberries and the manger Alicia was horrible. I will definitely NOT be visiting again.

Food and service were good. Chicken and dumplings could have been a little warmer. Sides and biscuit were great. Server was friendly and attentive.

Updated Review: Food was served hot, waiter was very friendly! They have a new menu with increased pricing. They also serve alcohol. Always a good "home cooked meal." You can order breakfast any time of the day!!

Biscuits were old, dried out and hard. The gravy was old also. Looked pink instead of white. Server didn't have a very good memory. Asked for extra napkins and never did get them. Tea glass was empty and took awhile to get refilled. Not coming back here again. We'll stop at the one at O'Fallon. Food should be fresh when it costs $25 for 2 meals.

The waitress was excellent, fantastic, and superlicious. My sister wants PLASTIC eatery, even the cup...all to go items even though she is eating in. Duhh.. global warming, conservation, Earth Day, etc. Back to my point, she wants her pancakes golden brown, but not too brown, kinda light, but not under cooked. Girl, bye!! Our waitress had the patience of Job. It takes her 5 minutes to order with all these quirky requests. Our waitress didn't flutter. Young people, stay in school and LEARN, or you'll wait on my sister one day.

We usually have had a good experience at Cracker Barrel in other locations. We were traveling out of our state, but tried it because we recognize the brand. Food was okay, nothing remarkable. Chose chicken pot pie, they were out. Chose fish and chips, only served certain day - the day we were there was not the right day. Finally tried chicken-fried steak, it was a bit over-fried, kind of dry. Young woman who served us was a sweetheart. She kept her composure, apologized for unavailable choices. Friendly, welcoming.

We meet family at store 111 at least 4 times per year. We waited more than a hour for a table for 16. Cindy the manager sat us at 2 different tables. Our waitress would add a table to accommodate our party of 16. The Manager Cindy was rude and wouldn't allow the table to be moved. Cindy was very rude. If we wait patiently for more than and hour please accommodate the party of 16. Store 111 needs to correct this Manager.

Ordered a simple biscuits and gravy breakfast and the biscuits were raw dough. The replacement biscuits were also raw in the middle. When I mentioned to the manager about both instances all they said was “Did you let your server know?” It’s a biscuit..literally put it in an oven for a set amount of time and let it cook. I’ll literally never come here again.

We were so pleased with the service we received at your location from one of your outstanding servers. It just so happened he waited on us on two separate occasions with dates that were close to one another. How nice it was to have been remembered from a previous visit. When my sisters visit from out-of-town, we always enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel and my husband and I often enjoy having dinner at your location. The food is always delicious and I have to say, your server John L. is one of the best! We asked for his name on our last visit and wanted to let you know how much we appreciated his attention to detail. On Tuesday, March 7 we enjoyed our meal and noticed how well he served us and those around us. At the end of what appeared to be a busy shift, he was still serving your guests with a smile, friendly disposition and attending to all of our requests in a timely manner. He made us feel as if we were dining with family. This is a very big reason we enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel! It's a privilege to let you know how hard your server worked. Thank you for hiring staff that truly make a difference simply by showing that they care.

We came in behind a large crowd. No problem. Got seated and waited 30 minutes. No problem. People walk in 5 minutes after us (seated behind us) and gets their orders taken first. NOT OK. Love Cracker Barrel, just not this location.

Wife and I arrived around 1000am, we ordered our food 15 minutes after. We were given our coffee and water, but waiter did not take our order. Clearly, because we needed more time. Although, he came shortly after, and took our order. He came around and stated our food will be ready shortly. Around 1030, we still did not get our food, and noticed that other table were greeted respectfully and with happy faces... The worst thing happened. Our waiter came back and stated that they had paper issues in the back. Meanwhile, the person next to me received her food, and to go order, and another table (4 people) who sat 20 minutes after, received there food, 1 hour and 15 minutes after our arrival. Finally, I called the manager and expressed my disappointment... Totally dislike the service, and will never go back to this particular establishment, and or server...

Well......the service was ok , I have had better at CB. Learned that they no longer bring out biscuits or cornbread before your meal which is why I don't believe I will be visiting anymore CB's on this end of the map. The explanation I was given sucked so my review may reflect that. Overall everything was ok.

Had lunch with group of about 10-12 friend's who I grew up, attended college together. We go to different restaurants to laugh, talk, catch up and see who what we want to raise money for. Cracker Barrel has the space and atmosphere conducive to break bread and feel the comfort for hour or more in company who knows you better than you know yourself. Service and main server was fantastic. We all had something different and I didn't hear any complaints from guys or gals. My meal I can comment on, wasn't that good. Baked chicken was a pressed meat patty 😕 had greens which weren't a taste treat. Had greens at a Cracker Barrel before which was seasoned excellently, but cornbread was good eats, 👍. Mashed potatoes wasn't delightful to my palate either. But, the company that surrounded me made it all good. Plenty parking & when a group ends the day we never go straight to our car. At last, we take a seat in their famous rocking chair waiting for everyone to check out, hug and joke. The open area inside the Barrel makes it an excellent place for a group gathering.

5/30/2022 ate breakfast here. The three servers/waiters were friendly, efficient, and quick. They kept the dining room engine humming! The woman at checkout was totally opposite.. Neither friendly nor courteous. We especially like cracker barrel breakfast.

Food was good and staff was nice, but from start to finish almost 2 hours. About 30 minutes to be seated. Our drink order was taken right away and brought out quickly, took another 20 minutes to get our order taken and over 40 minutes to get food. The only criticism is that the biscuits could've been a nice offering while we waited. And communication would go far for what is taking so long. I was told at the end when I told them 2 hrs that they had a new computer system.

I ordered turkey dinner~~I had one piece of turkey about size of oval dollar bill, hardly any gravy and biscuits were so hard we could not eat them. This was very out of the norm of food quality we typically receive. I think we will need to find another location. Biscuits at this location. Are always hard.

Like most restaurants they were short staffed at the time of visit. With the staffing issue the food came out cooked well. My waiter larry was prompt while working a few tables. Larry did an outstanding job.

1 star is too many. Had a party of two, took our name, number, and told us it would be a 15 minute wait. We waited in the store for them to call lur name and 49 minutes elapsed. We then inquired with the host about the wait and were informed they did not have our name and were berated , saying they had not had a wait for 15 minutes. Once seated we ordered drinks and food only to wait w9 more minutes before even getting our tea, vote in dirty glasses. Once the food finally came it was cold and early had been sitting. Service, food and cleanliness all awful. Don't eat here.

The server didn't get our order right they had to remake food three times. One of us was done eating while they kept trying to correct mistakes. Hopefully, they can get it right next time. I love their food, though this visit wasn't their best

Place was packed when we arrived. We were seated quickly. Drink orders were taken with meal orders. Southern fried chicken was great with pinto beans and fried apples. Spicy catfish was great. The chicken fried steak was also excellent. Our waitress was excellent and worked hard to correct an issue with one of our orders. She was also able to allow us to pay forward an der couples tab. Excellent dinning experience.

Great beans and greens meal and the chicken and dumplings never disappoint. The alcohol experience was a bit strange. But other than that ill be back. Might not order mimosas but the food I'll be ordering

It took forever for the food to arrive. Not sure why this restaurant does not like to give napkins. Our waitress was nice. Had a lot of tables to work. I've been before and don't remember waiting that long for food. Sausage was not good. Wouldn't recommend it.

  • 1/5 Ella S. 6 months ago on Google
Ordered Momma's pancake breakfast, should have gotten 3 pieces of bacon and 3 pancakes. Only received 2 pieces of under cooked bacon and the pancakes were dry and tough, asked for the manger and Cindy came out. I asked how many pieces I should have gotten and she said 3. I had to ask for another order that was completely cooked. My waitress's name was Kerrie, she wasn't much help either, I couldn't even get her to bring me any ketchup. If you don't like your job or can't deal with the public, find somewhere else to work!!

Typical fast food chain. Food not super fresh and Dr Pepper was flat. But it's decent enough for the price. Servers were very friendly and I like the retro store attached.

Great food and service. One of the best cracker barrels I've visited. Our waitress was the nicest lady ever, she was down to earth and talked to us for awhile even showed us pictures of her children and about her plans to travel to go and visit her son who was in Japan for work. The food was great but the service is what put it over the top 5 stars.

  • 1/5 Natalie C. 1 year ago on Google
If it would let me I’d give no stars. The absolute worse service I’ve ever gotten in any state. Got seated right away(they were not busy). Took the server 30 minutes to get our drink orders. Took another 20 minutes to get drinks. Then forgot to get one of our parties order. We had 9 people( it’s a lot but not really) Never brought out cornbread after it was asked for twice. Food was over cooked. Refills on drinks was a no!!!! Asked for a manager and was compt for two meals. Really thanks so much. But not really. Only was handled after saying I was calling corporate! Which I’ll still do. Don’t stop here! Find another place especially if your thirsty!

  • 4/5 Lynne E. 1 year ago on Google
The server may have forgot to turn in our order. People who were seated after us got their food first. We asked for the corn muffins and bis units to be brought to the table prior to the meal. That didn't happen. The food was good.

Cracker Barrel is AMAZING!! many people make eating here a family tradition! They offer family meals for holidays available for dine in and take out!! One of my top reasons for loving this place and believing it's a great place to take anyone is that they have such a variety of food to choose from so there's something for everybody ! Beware - this restaurant may top your previous favorite place to eat!!

We always met at this restaurant and meet family for breakfast since moving to GA. Today's experience was the worse. We waited for more than an hour for a table for 16 people and we didn't sit together. ANDREA The waitress was excellent and was accommodating to adding a table so we would be able to sit together but the Manager Cindy stated No. We will not move any table and they will not sit together. CINDY the Manager at store 111 is not professional nor polite. Cindy the manager is a terrible Manager even though the waitress solved the problem the Manager Cindy did not want the customer to be satisfied. Stay Away From This Restaurant When Cindy is working. She is rude and stated. NO WE WILL NOT CHANGE THEIR TABLE EVEN THOUGH THEY WAITED OVER AN HOUR.

Out of all the Cracker Barrel restaurants/stores we have been to, this one was hands down the best. Customer service was amazing! Our food actually tasted great. Our waitress kept checking on us. The atmosphere there was very positive and friendly. Would visit more if it was closer. But definitely recommend

It was an enjoyable place to eat. I had a Chef's salad that mighty big & tasty . Another in my group had the Hungry Man's breakfast & the last of our group had fried chicken with white beans corn bread. Those two stated that their food was great as well. All this at about 2:30 in the afternoon. Our waite staff was courteous & efficient. The area was clean. I recommend this place to rest and eat.

Typical Cracker Barrel. If it was only on their breakfast food 10 stars, but this time was lunch and I forgot my previous experices and ordered lunch here. 0.5 stars. Breakfast food = Delicious. Non Breakfast food = Highschool/College Cafeteria food at best. Just stick to breakfast food and you will love CB.

The Cracker Barrel on 157 has been super slow the past 2 times we have eaten there. We did get there close to lunch hour 11:15am. It wasn't packed when we got there, but it got more packed as we sat there. Both times, it has taken about an hour to get our food after ordering. We both got the breakfast. When we first got there, I asked the hostess (a 4 star employee) if she had a window table, and she was like "no" (she seemed aggravated). She sat us at a table for 2, there were several tables available but they hadn't been cleaned. There was one right next to the window, but she said, "It's not clean." I politely told her we could sit and wait for them to wipe it off. She said that would be her that would have to clean it. She let out a sigh like she wasn't going to be bothered to clean the tables, even though they clearly looked understaffed. So she sat us at the 2 top, which was fine. It took probably 10 or 15 minutes to get someone to take our drink order. When the food finally came out, my biscuits and gravy and country fried steak were good. My husband got the sirloin steak and eggs. The sirloin at medium rare was very tough, and he ended up bringing it home for our chihuahua. My pancakes were overcooked, tough, and the one tasted burnt. The waitress did have them remake those. The food problems definitely are a cook problem, not a server. Our server was doing her best considering how many tables she had. Overall, this restaurant is slow and twice the food hasn't been great. We will probably go to the one closer to our house and skip this one for a while.

Not a fan of a few waitresses etiquette with large crowds, like Larry’s . However, some workers like Clint are rather welcoming. The food was as good as the menu made it look though. Me and my family sure enjoyed our time!!! ALSO, all their sides feels like the kid menu, especially the potatoes

  • 2/5 Jennifer H. 11 months ago on Google
Our waitress was pretty cranky. Slammed plates down on the table when simply asked if she could get me a freshly made main entrée, because mine was very obviously well burnt on top. The toilets are extremely low and I fell backwards, bashed my head on the pipes and hurt my knee that I had surgery on 6 weeks ago. My mother had a very hard time getting back up, even with the bars in the handicap stall. The hostess was extremely nice and was the only reason I gave as many stars as I did. The food was bad, too, which is unusual for a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Like any Cracker Barrel this location is always busy but so long as you don't have a large group you'll get seated pretty quick. Honestly the only thing I can tell y'all about is their breakfast which is always amazing at this location. My favorite is the sourdough french toast with their famous spiced apples. But the new item on the breakfast menu is strawberry cheesecake pancakes, which I couldn't help but try, and let me tell you they are absolutely amazing. Also, if you're a fan of the hash brown casserole, they've turned it into fried bites that they cover with cheese and bacon crumbles and are utterly decadent. Stop in if you're in the area and check it out.
