Searching for Korean food near Brightwood, DC, I thought the closest thing would be Rockville. Saw this & BAM! Pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw our favorite ladies from their food truck behind the counter!! (Didn’t connect the dots at first) Cozy little place with a solid Korean-fusion menu that hits the mark, even if you’ve never tried Korean. Food was 10/10. Everything was happily delivered to the table. The cider & mead pairings were amazing & I hope they add some beer selections soon. Prices were fair & reasonable Restroom was impeccably clean. Will be coming back again!

A great selection of vegan foods! The jeju buns were delicious and filling, and the sauces they came with were also really good. Loved the Korean fried “chicken” tofu bites as well. For the main had spicy tofu and broccoli japchae - wholesome and hearty with just the right level of spice. Definitely worth the price.

My new favorite vegetarian restaurant! The food was flavorful & delicious. And the portions were very generous. I loved everything! I had takeout. However, the space is charming & cozy, with limited seating.

A quaint and cozy cafe where you order at the counter and seat yourself. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. We had the fried "chicken", bimbimbap, and sweet buns. Everything was great and we will definitely go back. The people working there were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth a try

The worst food and customer service ever. We wanted to support this vegan establishment but they were so discourteous to us when our food was over salted. We ordered a variety of their popular dishes and had gotten the extra spicy for their bibimbap. However, spicy in this restaurant is just essentially more gojuchang sauce and if you get the extra “spicy” you will be served a salt bomb. The server failed to tell us this and brought a over salted dish that was not edible at all. I hate returning dishes at restaurants and thought that some extra rice could help with the saltiness and taste. We asked for more rice and still couldn’t eat it because of the salt level. We decided to take it home and add more rice there but when we were leaving they asked us to pay extra for the rice even after we complained about the salt. This is when I became salty because no one could have eaten that Bibimbap with that amount of salt! I can’t believe I was being nice by not returning the inedible dish in the first place. Instead of apologizing about their mistake, the management was apathetic, unhelpful and inhospitable. We were so upset by the entire situation that we left the dish with them, paid an extra 5 dollars for the rice and tipped the server way more than he deserved. It’s no surprise that we will never be returning here again. If you’re a meat eater who’s trying to support local vegan establishments, stay away from this place. There are way better Korean restaurants around here which won’t send your BP levels through the roof. Vegans have limited choices but I’d be sorry for anyone that has to deal with Seoul Food’s incompetency, ungracious hospitality and not to mention the unhealthy level of salt that could send anyone to the hospital. I can’t believe they’ve won any awards. HA - what a joke. You’ve been warned folks.

This is a small place in a local Neighborhood. The staff were very friendly. There is paid parking on the street. The food tasted very good. The menu is very diverse with lot of veggie and meat options. The portions are filling. Cauliflower Japche was amazing. It’s a must try. Over all it’s a great place.

Great food, excellent atmosphere l, friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing decor. It’s not a big restaurant but it’s definitely worth a visiting and eating their great appetizers and main dishes. The spices, aroma and colors will make you want to come back.

Outstanding. Random visit as we wanted to try something new and this was perfect. Small shop and I felt the love. Chicken quesadilla + the spicy sauce was good! So much meat. But the dessert was the all star here. Absolute heaven and I would drive 1,000 miles for it. Great vegan/vegetarian options as well.

I never got to go to the old location but, at the new place, the restaurant looks awesome. It is welcoming and well organized with a really nice environment. The food was excellent and it came out incredibly fast. Also really enjoyed their desserts and thought the staff was friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back for more because the menu is varied and plentiful. Really impressed that dishes were clearly labeled GF, VG or V. We want to try all their food!

I'm a frequent diner. The food is absolutely delish. My favourite dish is the Nirvana Japchae extra spicy and extra pork. The house lemonade is also really good.

We were so full last night but we just had to come here !! This spot is closed on Sunday’s and only open for four hours !! Such a cute little place with authentic Korean food ! The owner was so sweet !! She’s super cute and really has a secret gem of a place .. please come here and show this place some love . We got there at 8 right before they close and got the last table . They treated us with love and respect and didn’t hurry us out at all .. they have a lot of vegan options too !! We got the kimchi pancake and the bibimpap bowl .. and ended it with the coconut lemon cupcake … omg so good 🤤!!!

I find it expensive for what it is. The options are good but.. pricy. My partner doesn't like it much. I liked it better when we could eat inside. I've been several times and don't know if I'll go back.

We have been sampling the menu here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. It's your lucky day when you get to eat cuisine of this caliber in a cozy, affordable neighborhood eatery. Do not skip dessert!

I wouldn't call Seoul Food vegan, but its menu is exceptionally vegan & vegetarian friendly and creative. As soon as you enter this restaurant you're transported to a cozy, home cooking atmosphere and from nearly any table will get to enjoy watching the chefs work their magic. Creative takes on Korean classics makes this a great restaurant for both adventurous and picky eaters, and the range of apps to entrees means it's easy to share or go solo. I can't wait to come back and work my way down the menu! One star off for prices, e.g. $8 for a single scallion pancake isn't sustainable as a consumer.

live nearby but hadn’t been until now due to sticker shock when reviewing their menu. got a gift certificate for christmas and tried it out; food was delicious and servings were large. great vibe in the restaurant as well with cool art and plants. we split the kfc sandwich and it was very tasty but at $16 it was quite the splurge (no sides included). our bibimbap ($19 each) was good and more food than expected. online menu was too extensive and it took a while to scroll through on my phone and decide. enjoyed the meal but not sure when we will return soon due to the over $30 cost per person without any drinks.

Delicious food, lots of variety! Enjoyed the mocktails, I hope more restaurants do these! Would also be nice if Seoul Food made their own Korean inspired ones? They were very friendly and the atmosphere was really cool, I love all of the plants at the front. Edit to add the guy at the register/waiter is super chill, always makes you feel like you're welcome.

They do not accept cash and they have NO PHYSICAL MENU ANYWHERE! Its a hard "NO" for me. I would go back if i was to hear that they changed their format. Im not gonna scroll through my phone to look at all the menu items. That creates headaches! Im also done with places that discriminate against people who want to use LEGAL U.S. CURRENCY. We call it cash and we are supposed to be able to use it to buy things, like food.

It was sooooo good. And it was such a busy night they ran out of food but still remained oh so professional and so kind when people kept coming in. Clearly this is THE place to be. And to add, everyone who was turned away were so cool about it. I would go back. PG county girl...

4.5 stars…..Wow the food here is SO good! The food takes a long time, so don’t expect this to be a quick in and out - but it’s so worth it. They have delish chicken dishes if you’re bringing a non-vegan.

Enjoyed the bibimbap with chicken. It was a generous portion and very flavorful. You can have it mild, moderate or spicy. Order ahead of time during the pandemic. It's pick up only right now.

I've been a fan of this restaurant since the old days back at the Wheaton Exxon station. So glad they've moved to a larger space with plenty of authentic Korean food options. I stopped by recently with a friend to have the super bibimbap, chicken japchae and the scallion pancake. Wow portions here are generous and they pack alot of flavor. Each bowl was filled with plenty of fresh veggies and delicious meats. The scallion pancake was cooked to perfection and had a lil heat. I loved the decor here. Definitely a homie hipster type vibe. Guess you can say it's a fast casual restaurant with plenty of art to look at while your dining. I definitely enjoyed my meal here and we'll be back to try their tacos and Kim chi noodles.
