my friend and i stayed here for 3 nights at the weekend in room 226. Friday and Saturday we both woke up with the noise of the two night clubs behind (Goldfinger and La Latina) it was so loud it was like the windows were open. We went to Cologne to enjoy the daytime not the 3am nightlife! so that was disappointing...the staff were slow to help - it was a busy weekend and the manager helped in the end. Not sure I would stay here again after that experience.

Great central, safe location. Free breakfast. Plenty of parking garages nearby. Found the rooms overall clean but dusty. WiFi was highly unreliable. Sometimes would go out for the entire day. Sheets were scratchy and pillows flat. Climate control didn’t work well. There was a wedding reception under our room with music blasting till after 12 am. Nice gym with a lot of space for circuit workouts.

Our stay in this hotel was pleasant especially given its reasonable price. Its location is perfect. Below are few points of criticism: * the bar closed 1 hour earlier than the time mentioned at its entrance. * the check-in was smooth but the guy at the check in booth didn't make an appearance of a hospitality worker. * the rooms are large and nice but look somewhat tired; the minibar fridge didn't work. * the shower temperature was not stable. * the guy at the reception told us that no "umweltplakette" for our vehicle is necessary in Cologne, whereas the reality is different. * an umbrella for guests at the entrance would be a very useful addition given its 4 star status.

The shower and the bathroom in general were modern and clean, however the bed was awfully hard and the pillows very soft, overall very uncomfortable sleeping. The curtains were also not a complete blackout, in the morning some light came in from the sides. The service was great, the food at the breakfast buffet was also superb. Overall beautiful hotel design.

With no question, this was one of the nicest Hotels I have stayed at. Impeccable Service, Great Breakfast Buffet with Local specialties and Vegan options. My Room was spacious and clean; A Sauna avaliable in Basement. Central location in Cologne with walking distance to all important places. Behind the Hotel is one of the oldest traditional Beer Breweries (Päffgen), one of the best . All together a great Price for a upper Class Hotel.

I stayed there for 3 nights in between 22-25 April. Perfect location to walk to Kölner Dom, supermarkets, restaurants. Breakfast was really good with so many options. On the back street of hotel there are so many pubs: on friday and saturday nights it was really crowded. But even so, it was silent in hotel which is good. If you decide to stay at Lindner, you should try Peter Pane burgers which is so close to the hotel by the way. I totally recommend Lindner! Hope to stay there again.

Nice hotel in the centre of Cologne but they should work on the airconditioning in the rooms. It was really hot and nothing changed when you put the thermostat on a colder temperature. This makes it very inconvenient to sleep.

In the suite, the paint on the walls was unsightly, traces of wear and tear, probably from a chair. The sofa was also damaged, each time it was seated, it dropped 5cm causing an unpleasant sensation. The suite is very dark and the lights are very, very dim. On 2 nights in a luxury suite we were unfortunately woken up by a drill noise at 8am... On the other hand, the bedding is of good quality, the shower is very pleasant in a bright bathroom. On the ground floor, the welness part is also very pleasant (the lighting on the other hand at this place of rest is much too strong), the gym is large and complete. The sauna is large and pleasant. Absolutely perfect location, near the small centre, much more pleasant than the overcrowded centre near the cathedral. There is absolutely everything here; shops, supermarkets, cinema, bars, restaurants. We had a great time in a beautiful city. Friendly and competent reception staff.

Service is TERRIBLE at this hotel. hotel staff is very rude and wont help with simple requests. We were supposed to stay here for 1 week but just after one day we decided to leave this hotel just because the staff is so rude. One of us cut his hand and he requested siccors from a male working behind the desk so he could cut the bandage and they did not care at all and would not lend us the siccors. not even if we suggested to just cut the bandage in front of his face, not leaving the desk at all. he would not give us the siccors and when asked why he just said "no, because i said so. guests never give us back the siccors." Yeah thats why we suggested he could cut the bandage in front of his face for just 5 seconds. but this simple request was denied. my friend just stood there with a cut in his hand bleeding in search of a fitting bandage. we had to go walk into the city in the rain to get us some bandage. Really bad service of this person behind the desk. it was a male person working on 26.03.2023 in the morning. If the guests need medical attention then please help your guests? the rooms were ok. nothing special. staff terrible again, and i didnt even speak of the other things hotel staff wouldt assist us with. rooms were ok. nothing special. a lot of garbage outside the room window.

Watch out if you have allergies! I got a reaction from the bed sheets, asked the reception for bedsheets that are not washed with perfumed/allergenic detergents. They said they'd call to my room but never did. Was too tired to complain any more at that point. Haven't managed to get the scent out of my clothes even days later. Nothing wrong with the place otherwise though.

Great location. Have stayed here a few times and would return again. Consistently clean rooms with helpful front desk. Everything is walking distance. Really nice part of town!

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, great service, and fantastic location. The only issue was that air-conditioning was not working. As the temperatures are still high, it was pretty uncomfortable to sleep.

Very good hotel in the middle of Köln. Clean, modern, good breakfast, good position. Parking in front. Not included. Just stay for one night. Recommend

My stay at Lindner Hotel Cologne City Plaza with my partner was very comfortable. The room was neat and tidy with a beautiful bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was A+. The beds were very comfortable and warm! It was great being close to a tram station, but most places we went to were in walking distance (usually around 10-20mins) which we were more than happy to do. I will definitely stay again if I find myself back in Cologne :)

Great location to walk anywhere in the city centre, clean and superfriendly, giant room but a little dark, bathroom (door) has potential but overall, great! Amazing breakfast, inclusive for allergies and vegan options!

Breakfast - 5*, huge selection, almost unbelievable. Well done! Fitness: 5* - clean and Technogym equipment. Really one reason to return. Rooms: 2* - found broken glass, the bathroom had a very bad rotten eggs smell. I reported it but wasn’t fixed by the team. That’s a result of outsourcing. Shower: unique button system but temperature is not constant, selected 39° but temperature varies up and down. No shampoo and conditioner but surprisingly body lotion in the shower. I would return. 100% recommendation. Reception: nice team. All went well.

The hotel is located not far from the Cologne train station and easily reachable by foot. The check-in was hassle free. The lifts require a key card. The room was clean, and good enough for the price. The first thing that disappointed me was the shower - you can set the temperature to any level up to 42 degrees on the digital control panel, and you just get lukewarm water. The bed creaks and moves with any small movement, which creates the anxious feeling that it could collapse at any point. The lounger was quite comfortable, and the room had enough power sockets within reach. Overall, the hotel is convenient, but needs quality control.

Location is very near to train station (Friesenplatz), room and bathroom are very clean, superb breakfast. What's missing: no coffee/tea & no water cooker for drinking hot beverage in the room. (Maybe because of my room type selection?)

Great hotel, great staff. A very good location for getting around. The only issue we had with the hotel was the lighting in the restaurant was a little dark for our vision. Otherwise, everything was great.

Fabulous meal. Barman at the restaurant was very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff very helpful. Room lovely. Fantastic shower!

Arguing about the price we got from Hotels.com. Making us pay 40EUR more. We were polite and when we couldnt come to an agreement we wanted to cancel and go to another hotel but they then used the "No cancellation" line on us. Would never go there again. They ruined how i feel about all Lindner hotels.

Really great hotel with a perfect breakfast. Never had such a joice of food for breakfast. The hotel is located near the shopping street and just 10 min walking to the Kölner Dom. Rooms are big and really clean!

This hotel feels on the fancier side however the beds are hard as a rock and the AC does not work. When asking the front desk about it it was clear that it was not a new issue. Not a pleasant nights sleep

Hotel is nice. Good location. Staff is helpful and courteous. But the air conditioning in the rooms wasn't cold enough (our company had 6 rooms), and in one room the door between the room and the bathroom was missing (which they couldn't fix in the 5 days we were there).

Plus: central location, parking garage (25€/day), nice gym, great breakfast, safe, minibar, iron in room, AC, good bedding. Minus: sauna was supposed to be on during business hours (starting at 10am is too late) but was not working, shower pressure in my room not existend, rooms facing the street are very loud with open windows.

You don't have a chance to dislike the comfort of the hotel! Great importance is attached to the cleanliness of each area. The helpfulness of the staff will please you. You can go to all places of interest by walking, and you can go to distant places by the metro right next to it. For this reason, the location of the hotel is quite satisfactory. Internet connection speed is very good, and you can log in easily. Open buffet breakfast is offered and it gives you the chance to have a nice breakfast in variety. It is a very good alternative for accommodation in Cologne.

From the outside and the area in which the hotel is located, you would not expect the inside to be as lovely as it is. Positive: size and space of the room (Business), lovely rainshower, breakfast assortiment, parking under the hotel and also parking garages in the area, wellness looked lovely unfortunately I did not get to use it. Negative: airco or cooling system in the room didn't work (temperature outside was high and in the room as well). I believe there was ample things to do in the area, unfortunately I didn't have time to explore due to appointments elsewhere.

Stayed here with a friend for a weekend trip to Cologne. Big room, it has big classic wooden furniture which is not really my style but it was all okay, clean and a lot of storage. The room and especially the bathroom was very hygenic. The bathroom had a big shower head with a very easy button system so the shower was very comfortable. Big, comfy beds. Temperature in the rooms was good (it was freezing outside). Location is good, walking distance or metro distance from most of the interesting places, we did a lot on foot. Restaurants in the parallel street (I recommend the Japanese restaurant!). Lot's of choice for the breakfast!

Bad experience. Cleaning came into our room in the morning twice while we were still in bed even the first time. They said they had bad info and thought the room was empty, but how does it then happen twice? Also there was a towel very dirty with stains. When I informed the front desk of my complaints, no action was taken. Pillows insanely soft, my neck hurt for two days after.

Beautiful hotel and the rainshower is great. But way to warm (and it was winter). With A/C full open still difficult to sleep. Asked reception but this is always. Only for that I would not go back. The rest is great (location, breakfast, cleanness)

the good: very nice and large room, very good breakfast; good parking policy the bad: distance to the town center was longer than expected; the ugly: ont the 1st morning: we had to wait half an hour before being admitted to enter for breakfast; on the second night: we had to wait for more than an hour before our order was delivered, even though the bar was almost empty

Really lovely hotel in a great location! Rooms are very nice, the nights are quiet, the breakfast is great and the staff were super polite. The gym has just enough equipment for a decent workout to tie you over whilst travelling. I would stay again!

Over priced and overrated hotel. Not close to 4 stars hotel. We don’t have hair conditioners at room, requested from reception and haven’t got it. Air conditioner in room very loud and old. Also dirty and need to clean. Also you can’t change temperature only 4 buttons to switch speed of fan. Limited quantity of sockets. No sockets close to bed you can’t charge your phone at night. Bathroom had only bathtub and no separate shower. If you take shower at tub all water flows to floor. For more €150 / night is overpriced. Good things- staff is very friendly and helpful.
