I wanted not to leave a comment, but I have to be honest. The best thing about the stay was the price € even though they to had to pay 9€ for parking. The hotel needs to be renovated, the elevators don't work, and it seems it hasn't worked for a while. It had not fans, no air conditioning, and the whole time I was afraid to walk barefooted because the carpets seemed filthy. That being said, for a one-night stay, it was sufficient.

Hotel looks far more modern in the photos than it really is, car park with a big car is a challenge. Staff were excellent, breakfast was good, 5 minutes walk to tram then 20 minutes to city centre fast cheap and safe

not sure why there’s so many poor reviews for this hotel. i stayed there with my partner for a week and it was completely fine! yes there’s a few small issues but for the price i don’t see how people can complain. the front desk staff know limited english, but were still as helpful and friendly as possible. the wifi didn’t work at all above the 1st floor. another downside to this hotel was the lack of air conditioning, as we visited in august it was 30+°c outside which resulted in the room getting extremely hot. however, the breakfast was good (and free)! great selection of cold meats/bread/cereals and other stuff. the rooms were clean and pleasant. i saw other reviews complain about the clock tower situated outside, but we didn’t find it too noisy luckily. in addition to this the hotel is situated right next to a supermarket, and is minutes away from a rail/bus station so it has great connections with the rest of köln. also, it is right next to the river so can be a very picturesque walk back. overall, great hotel for great price but i’d only suggest to include air conditioning (or at least a fan) in the rooms, and maybe some sort of wifi extenders so it can be accessed on the higher floors. would stay again.

We arrived at the hotel by car and found parking available underneath. However, the parking spots were incredibly small, so it was crucial to be cautious to avoid causing any damage. The daily parking fee was 9 euros. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who was talking on the phone with earpieces in. During check-in, he continued the conversation in another language, which seemed unprofessional. Once we entered the room, it reeked of smoke, making it incredibly unpleasant to stay in. Despite opening the windows to alleviate the smell, it remained pervasive, and the room became uncomfortably cold. We were close to considering leaving. The following day, my husband experienced a severe asthma attack due to the excessive dust in the hotel. The breakfast was decent, but quite basic with limited choices. Additionally, there was a leak in the ceiling. I wouldn't recommend staying here. It felt more like staying in a hostel rather than a hotel.

Wanna sleep in dark? Not here. Want to hear evry 15 mins ringing of bells next to your window? It's here!!!! Ah,and when you pay for longer stay it mean nothing. Worker will call you and will scream at you that you have to go out!!!! Worst hotel ever!!!!! I would give minus 9 stars.

The room stinks, the sheets stink, the light doesn't work, it's dark, it's level with the pavement, it's easy to get in from the outside, and it's so noisy that I can't sleep. The receptionist had a bad attitude and was not the response of the hotel,

Where do we start? First of all only 1 guy speaks english on reception desk and room service speaks only German. 2nd thing: On reception desk there is a sign saying (in german) "The home is where WIFI is" and thats correct but wifi works only on 1st floor and I was in room 404 and there was no internet access at all(404 and no internet you get it? xD) when i asked what can we do about it i was said "nothing" and thats all and as far as ii know all my friends that was in this hotel in the same time had no internet access too. Another thing: Breakfast. Oh boy we was there for 3 weeks and everyday there was only bread with cheese and ham. Nothing warm to eat FOR 3 WEEKS(funny thing: on 4rd floor there is a painting which says something about breakfast and a photo of hot plates with scrambled eggs which is not present xD) Another thing: One of our guy was bitten by bugs like spot by spot and it was not mosquitoes cause we found bugs under the pillow(he was given another room but nothing else) Another thing: we was lucky it wasn't hot cause there is no air conditioner(which is fine) but when you open window all you hear is police sirens, cars passing and other people screaming whole night and church bell (which is 40meters from Hotel) which rings from 8AM every hour everyday. Only one good thing about this hotel is hot girl living opposite of hotel on first floor and she likes to wear only short boxers and a bra. Trust me take any other hotel than that. You gonna thank me later. Shotout to only 1 guy on reception desk which was speaking english/german/polish. Go look for another job cause i think this hotel is not gonna hold much longer. You was only one good thing in this mess.

No service at all at the reception desk. I was told that this was a digital hotel and that I could sit down on a couch in the lobby to do the booking with my iPhone. Autofill did not work on their website. I was tired and I did not manage to enter payment. Nor cash nor card were accepted at the desk. So I left and I did not actually stay there.

I regret to inform you of the disappointing experience my party and I had during our recent stay at your hotel. First and foremost, I feel compelled to address the concerning behavior of one of your staff members, a rather portly individual who, unfortunately, lacked even the basic understanding of courtesy and hospitality. His rude demeanor left a lasting negative impression on our entire stay. Additionally, the parking situation was far from ideal. The spaces were incredibly cramped, making it a challenge to maneuver our vehicle. It was disappointing to find that such an essential aspect of the guest experience fell short. Moreover, the rooms lacked sufficient heating, leaving us uncomfortable throughout our stay. The inability to control the temperature adequately impacted our overall satisfaction. On a slightly positive note, the breakfast provided was decent and served its purpose. The fact that it was included in our stay was appreciated, and it did stand out as one of the better aspects of our visit. I share this feedback with the hope that it contributes to the improvement of your services. I believe every guest deserves a positive and welcoming experience, and unfortunately, our visit did not align with those expectations.

Decent business hotel located in the heart of Porz. 2 min walk to the Rhine River. Very close to a Rewe grocery store. About a 6 min walk to the Tram to get into the city. Lots of shopping close by in the shopping district across the street.

I strongly recommend against booking a reservation with Novum Hotel Mariella Airport. Here are the reasons why I left without staying: *The hotel required the bill to be paid in full upon arrival. This is not normal. *While I was attempting to check in, a guest who was already staying at the hotel warned me to view the room before paying because his room was unclean and did not have a window. This is not normal. *The hotel refused to allow me to view my room unless the bill was a paid in full. This is not normal. *The hotel refused to confirm whether my room had a window. This is not normal, and it is potentially dangerous in the case of a fire. *Although the hotel was mostly vacant, the font desk personnel wanted to put me on a high floor even though the elevator was clearly broken. This is not normal. *The front desk personnel were rude and seemed to take pleasure in being unhelpful. Again, this is not normal.

Room and batthroom are not so bad, but the reception and the elevator are from the last century and very scary and dirty. WiFi is not existing.

Thanks god , I had no luggage, elevator broken in a hotel ? A little funny I find , everything is basic , room is nice with coffee and tea to make with a kettle available abd a bottle of water ( charge 4€),but we sleep very good and the construction opposite wasn't noisy. All over ok stay !

It’s a very basic hotel, barely three stars. Small lobby, garage was full, they’re very few places. There’s only breakfast and you have to go out to the shopping area across the street, very near. It’s close to the Rhein where you n find some café’s. In the late 2019 the elevator was broken and it smelled a mix of smoke and cleaning liquids. It wasn’t really cold in the room and I didn’t find any hearing controls. Breakfast is basic (eggs are the only warm dishes) and not cheap, although the room is quite cosy. There’s a construction site right across the street, but it was quiet in the weekend. We asked for a baby bed but it was ignored and there were no beds available any more.

Our three-person room was at the very top. I haven’t been to Cologne too many times this is the very charming part of town. A one minute stroll down the block and you’re at the Rhine weather is beautiful parks. The room was very large and divided into the main area with a larger double bed a couple of armchairs a television and a regular amenities. There was also another single bed in a separate room. Considering the price I consider this to be quite the deal.

Basic hotel with convenient chargeable parking in the basement. Rooms are clean and comfortable if somewhat dated. Bath with shower over in a clean well maintained bathroom. The elevator didn't work during my visit so the 5th floor was quite a trek with luggage.

6th floor without working elevator... Well, when you eat your breakfast (Which was good enough!), you really don't want to go six floors to your room. And guess what, no word when you book the room about it...

Room too expensive. The price and the quality is way off. Elevator still broken. In the evening not possible to talk to the staff in English. + side * vending machine with lots of stuff and reasonable pricing * free underground parking * a lot of kebabs near
