I said I really don't want beer but he continued to insist and left it so I thought he was giving it to us in a friendly way for free because he forced it on us. Keep in mind we spoke to him in English and he saw we were tourists. I ordered water. I got a small cup of tap water. They charged me 3 euros for the smallest glass of tap water!! and they put the beer on the bill that I did not want!!! Horrible and I'm honestly in shock with this behavior because we tourists.

Staff is speaking English and is attentive, however the waiting times to get served were pretty long (I suppose due to how busy it was). My friend got served curry wurst instead of brut wurst like he ordered, and they replaced it without a problem. When you finish a beer they will automatically give you a new one without asking if you want it, not sure if this is standard in Germany or not.

Best Schweinshaxen I found so far.

Large restaurant, surprisingly good (wasn't expecting much as restaurant attached to train station). Portions good, service efficient, nicely busy, but room to walk in not booked.

I would like to remark specially the very gentle staff working in this place that was very nice in general, and specifically with my kids. The food is typical food from the area. We tried the sausages and Schnitzel, and also strudel for dessert and everything was good and generous portions. The local is just besides the train station, and you can access through it. It's. Very large area with lots of tables and space.

A fun night out with good German food. We had big chunks of pork (crispy pork knuckle, in my case) and lots of little beers. The staff were very nice, and spoke enough English to be able to help us, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great: bustling and busy, but not too loud to talk. The bill was 34 Euros for two main courses plus 15 Euros in beer (8 small beers at 1.90 Euros each).

Very quiet place close to the Deutz Messe train station in the heart of Köln. I was quite surprised to find a so calm situation during a Friday lunch period, but this give me the chance to enjoy more the atmosphere and enjoy my lunch time. Fair prices, if you start to take one, two, three kolsch beer, than you'll lose the count. Be careful 😎

Cologne way of life all packed in one place. Make sure to get a traditional Kölsch and a local dish like the “Cologne Tapas” - you’ll love it!

What a great restaurant experience. Good beer and hearty German food - large portions (!) and the staff are great. Shout out to Zied (Peugeot) - he was our "skipper" and ensured that we had a fun evening. Recommended.

I like the environment and the food. The Schnitzel Wiener Art is very good, and soft. The Pommes are perfect! The Apfel Strudel is fabulous! The staff is very good and price is fair! I would improve the cleaning and the staff, since sometimes I had to wait ten minutes to order a bier.

Service was not very friendly, food was good and prices are ok.

My favorite Brauhaus in Cologne. They keep your Beer full and food is top notch German cuisine.

All what you expect in a "Brauhaus". Nice and not to busy location with good mix of people. Sausages were good, Beer as expected. Staff Köbis-alike also as expected and they took care of us in a very good way.

always nice there. friendly stuff, good food but you have to be aware that when sitting outside, you are sitting next to a main street. and of course it is right in the deutz train station. if you can not cope with the loud surroundings you should look for something different

Typical German directness from staff, bordering on a grumpy from some. Part of drink order came wrong, corrected it. Tiny (0.2l) Kölsch glasses were poured short, which in such small glasses is a crime. Beers replenished quickly. Food was good, large side salads with seasonal calamari offering. Small portions of veg bolognese were big, same for small crispy chicken and pommes. Bill was 114.70 for 6, pay by card. Add 10 euro top (too much) and then receipt given for 150 total charge. Waiter tried to quickly give the receipts and leave, I catch the "error" and point it out. He returns 26 euros cash, "oh sorry sorry". Then I check the bill closer, and he has charged us for 4 waters instead of 1. Again "sorry sorry", more cash back. Take as you will, but to me these were intentional "mistakes" trying to catch the foreigners out (one of us speaks German). Check your bill carefully, as well as what you're charged if you pay by card.

Staff is amazing. Glass was never empty for more than 5 seconds. Nice casual hangout near the train whilst you are waiting to grab a quick bite.
