Not a great experience at all. Rooms are very dated, no fridges for refreshments or complimentary water. The shower was broken, doors didn't close properly and it did not work well. The customer service was not great either. I asked for extra pillows (one each) as the pillows in the room were poor quality and incredibly flat and was refused. Location was OK due to the tram stop being a short walk to the centre. Breakfast was also OK.

The room is very small, no air-conditioning, no fridge bathroom is very small. Don’t forget to take water with you because 750 mL what a cost 4€ Only good thing it was in the silence place.

Great welcome from the reception staff. A huge thank to the young lady at the reception for the help and advice!! Large room, immediately clean, comfortable mattress and pillows, strong WiFi. Good breakfast, not a hot buffet, but there are plenty choice of variable food and drinks. Easy check in/out. Recommend a 100% Thanks again for your hard work!

No air con in the room. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly and we found an empty bottle under the bed. It was also located just above the hotel parking, which meant no quiet sleep (people kept arriving and chatting under our windows all night). Breakfast area is tiny and therefore busy. Breakfast choice is rather poor. To get to city centre you need to get a tram, which in summer heat is an absolute nightmare..

We've stayed in this hotel twice now, once for 2 nights, and most recently, 5 nights. Whilst only 3 stars, it has everything you need for a casual stay in Germany. The room comes equipped with a TV, kettle/coffee and a shower pressure to die for! Parking is unfortunately limited, so you might struggle to find a spot late in the evening during busy periods. The surrounding area is quiet, and you could probably park in the vicinity without worry. The hotel staff are super friendly. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily and we have no complaints about cleanliness. Breakfasts are typical German, plenty of meats, cheeses and brötchen. Brück is a really nice turn with plenty of options for food (we recommend Holi and La Vecchia Trattoria). Whenever we next return to Cologne, we'll look at staying here again.

Not good at all. Hotel very noisy, need refreshing. The breakfast not good. Nothing warm apart from the coffée. No eggs, the bread wasn't even fresh. The matrasses are very bad, we all had bad back and pain. Totally waist of money.

Very clean and hygienic room and bathroom. Complementary coffee and tea. For this price, hotel doesn't offer mini fridge, ac/ventilator. Shower room is cramped. Very far from centrum also walk 10 minutes from mausfpad station. Breakfast is mediocre. No scrambled eggs. No coffee vending machine. Pot coffee is not that strong. Not all front desk staff understands English.

Location is perfect if you need a place close to the highway. And still it is quite, a forrest close by, restaurant next door. The place is clean, rooms are proper sized. Really good value for money!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THIS CENTURY!! To be clear, I almost was going to stay at the hotel - but I am so glad I didn't! In early Nov 2021, I made a booking for the end of December 2021 as a surprise for my husband and daughter. Then as I was nearing my reservation date, a relative of mine passed away and the Covid numbers were rising quite badly at that time, so I decided to play it safe (plus I wasn't in the mood for a holiday after losing someone), sent a request to the hotel to cancel my reservation. They said I booked a non-refundable booking, so there was no way they can or will cancel it. Booking.com then asked me to please contact the hotel directly to ask them. So I did. I spoke to a lady called Veronica Fracasso. She verbally told me I can cancel anytime and they will issue me a full refund, I just have to ask Booking.com to send them a message about it. So after the call, I cancelled the booking and informed Booking.com accordingly. Guess what happened after that? The refund DIDN'T happen! In fact, when I tried to call the hotel again numerous times there after, here is what happened: a) Veronica was "somehow" always either on leave, transferred to another department, or some other nonsense reason was given to me b) When I demanded to speak to the upper management, I was transferred to a Mr. Au (I think, head of reservation or something like that). He is DOWNRIGHT RUDE, SARCASTIC, and ABOMINABLE in every way possible. No matter how I tried to speak nicely to him, no reason could get to him. c) I tried to speak to the Front Office Manager of Novum Silence Hotel, she was also always either busy or not yet at work, or whatever. Never reachable. In the end, by some luck, I was able to speak to a super kind and professional lady called Kiymet. She is the head of Guest Relations. Thank God for her!!! I think she is the ONLY reason Novum hotel is still surviving. She was patient, super helpful, and kind to help me with this chaotic mess!! All in all, it took me over 2 months to get my refund. What a joke. Kiymet, you are an angel! Thank you so much for everything <3 To the Novum hotel management, if you are reading this, you should REALLY have a closer look at the kind of people you are hiring for your hotels. I also used to work in the hospitality industry. It is exactly people like these who put customer service people to SHAME!! Plus, what good is a hotel with super poor service? You should thank your lucky stars that Kiymet is part of your team. Treasure her, give her a bonus, a promotion, and you better hope she never leaves.

You have to wait a lot for a check in, fill in papers manually after sending the reservation before for weeks. The rooms are clean and nice. Kind staff.

For the price this is a perfect hotel. If you want to Keulen centre maybe pick a hotel that's closer by. We got breakfast included and a room with a bathtub. It was perfect for our 1 night stay. We sadly couldn't go to the city centre because of a train malfunction so then you're quite far away from the city itself.

If you enjoy sharing the bed with the person who slept there before you and your private zoo in the bathroom, this hotel will be a great experience for you. However, if you don't, do not go there. There were hair on the pillow case, bugs in the bathroom, the room hasn't been renovated since 1970, no ac, no bar/ way to buy drinks, and the pillow was super uncomfortable. I cannot recommend at all, especially if you enjoy cleanliness.

The hotel is pretty, the staff is very kind, the rooms are clean and the breakfast was delicious. The room equipment could be a little better, however it is sufficient. There is a good infrastructure, e. g. you can reach the tram within 5 minutes by foot. All in all it was quite good.

Don't be fooled by the photos, the hotel is a bit like visiting faulty towers! Booked twin room and ended up with a double bed for myself and colleague, it gets two stars as staff on desk was very helpful even if we had to visit another two rooms before finding one with two beds. Beds were uncomfortable and room was very tired looking with threadbare carpets and scuffed furniture. Bathroom was actually surprisingly ok! In summary it's more of a two star hotel than four stars

A nice clean and quiet hotel. Quite far away from Köln centre so be prepared for a little journey and walking each day if you are there for sightseeing

Decent hotel if you're only looking for a roof over your head. I stayed here as I was doing a 20 hour drive from Czech Republic to UK. The beds were comfy enough and quite clean.

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
