Attended a Cologne Sharks game in September 2023 and it's a great arena - modern and clean with friendly staff and all the expected amenities. Would have liked a KEC team store inside the arena instead of the very hectic stalls, but otherwise, a top notch experience.

Good for hosting events, however if you don't end up with tinnitus at the end due to poor sound management, I'd be highly surprised. Though that could be down to the event management. Good parking possibility, especially the departure was without any traffic jams, golden star achieved for proper infrastructure management. Although for the price of parking the train is cheaper.... Food is extraordinarily expensive, like, renting a house in Amsterdam would be valued similarly. It's just ridiculous. No good word about it. It's not like it's bad food, but for that price I could fly to Barcelona. To compensate I took some liberty with the mayonnaise. Small victory. The seats are okay, viewing is great and infrastructure inside is well established. It's a cathedral alright. Shame they sting you for every cent if you are slightly hungry or thirsty. And yes I'm laying it on extra thick. Like the mayonnaise on me fries. If there's an event going on here, you are in for a party though.

Went there for an eSports event. Great location, the seating is nice, but the long queues infront of the entrances feel stupid as the security checks seem to lack purpose. Don't know if thats only for this event or a general thing.

Marc Anthony Concert Good atmosphere and sound, was a bit deaf afterwards The seats are old and worn out. But beer, food and drinks inside you could pay with card, so that's a big plus on my list.

Huge venue with many concerts. Good acoustic, excellent location, well connected by train which is nearby (train station). Many indoor facilities in Lanxess Arena.

The arena itself as a show space is OK but the management is horrible. Nobody speaks English and nobody cares. I had a VIP ticket and nobody help me in the process. Also nobody answer the phone or gave me any information when I went there 1day before the show. And don't blame COVID. This was purely arena's fault.

Recently visited Lanxess Arena Köln with friends and had an incredible time. The venue’s ambiance and facilities are top-notch. A must-visit for sports and event enthusiasts when in Cologne.

Went there for the Hugh Jackman World Tour and I was impressed. Huge parking lot, huge arena - with over 15.000 places (if I'm not mistaken). Security check on each entrance gate, shops on each level, escalators... Inconvenient: after a show you do have to wait in line, to pay your (not expensive) parking ticket and the toilets are on the -1 level.

A great experience, due to the inclination of the seatin, everyone has a good view. The show was great. Access by public transportation or car easy. No cues to enter or exit.

I was here for many concerts like Karty Perry, Ariana Grande, Madonna,… Unfortunately there was never a security control in terms of looking into bags or jacket pockets. That is what I feel like hugely dangerous-if you think about current events. Also, I did not like the fact that if you have seats in the upper area, searching for signs is horrendously difficult. During the Madonna concert 2023 we had to wait for 95 minutes since the artist was not on time-there was not even one announcement in which they apologized-neither the staff of the arena nor the artist itself. Not to forget-hygiene in the restrooms? What is that!? Disgusting! View from the upper sections was also restricted through lightning & stuff.

Went here for Andre Rieu concert and it was fun, the only thing that distracts me was the left side of the stage where you can't see much more cause if the electric cables that are hanging. For the tune of the whole arena is good.

I attented the IEM Cologne at Lanxess Arena, the arena is nice but the organisation is bad. We had to wait in line for a long time (in the rain) before getting our ticket checked. Everytime we need to go out, when coming back we need to pass by security check. The staff should learn more from the organisation at Spodek Arena in Katowice.

Köln lost badly, but the stadium was easy to get to, good food options and centre ice tickets good value at e36

I went here for 'Panic! At the disco' and it was one of my most memorable experiences. I was seated in block 607, row 8, seat 1 and was more than satisfied with the view and the sound/vocals. (I've uploaded videos so you can check the view) Finding the seats was pretty easy, FYI it was my first time going to an arena for a concert. The line outside was long but it moved pretty fast.

Well organized, except for the collection of plastic glasses, when they are supposed to give back 2€ per returned glass #recycling

What shall I say for Lanxess Arena?! The lights were spectacular, the big screens allow to the people on the higher seats to see clearly what happens on the stage despite the distance. The sound at some point started lowering down, not much but noticable. This can make a difference, especially during a concert. With 16.000 people capacity expect a long line everywhere. From drinks and snacks, to enter the toilets. A lot of parking options all around it, just be patient. The traffic might drive you crazy! 🤣 Enjoy your time there!

Awesome venue, went to the Blackpink concert and had a blast, the acoustics are nice and even on the furthest top rows we had a decent view of the stage.

Decent venue but crowd management on the night was terrible. Car parks filled up hours before the show and leftover traffic was rerouted to another location miles away. Upon finally checking in, none of the staffers could help us find our designated area. Instead we got met with visible signs of annoyance and bounced around the place looking for our spot. Long story short: give yourself ample buffer time if you’re going there or you will end up with a nasty headache

Great place to see concerts! We were there during the Karnival, nice environment, crazy costumes, fireworks and they allow you to bring food and drink! 🤩

Great arena. Went to see kiss here. Stage location and sound were great! For a big venue the entry went smooth and there was no line at the toilets as there were plenty of them. Also beverage prices were decent (obviously you pay a more than store/bar prices, but it was still over half of what some of the other arena's in Germany charge) Only reason I gave it 4/5 is because of the arena parking. The price is okay, but it took us well over an hour to get out of the parking lot.

Attended Ehrlich brothers show there. The area is poorly equipped to host live shows. The lightings come infront of the screens blocking part of the show. You can't see the showmasters at all from up where the tickets are actually €100+ . The seats are very uncomfortable and very tight space infront of each seat. Entrance and organization was good. The show itself was medium. But for sure would never attend another show in this arena, total waste of money and time.

Attended Roger Waters Concert. I was disappointed because we were not allowed to take a normal camera inside. Also not the best view from our places, on the floor, second row.

Great show from Pet Shop Boys. Uncomfortable seating. Nicely aired. Nice security. Toilets were fine. Thought I was in America with all the mountains of food people were shoveling down their necks 😅

A huge arena and an impressive place to watch ice hockey. Unfortunately the guest seats are quite isolated and the views are heavily restricted / too far from the barrier, but you expect that as an away fan. Could do without the €4 price for water, however.

I went to watch the Ice hockey world cup... by far the best vanue I have ever seen. The place is amazingly clean for a this big platform. The roof was was also stunningly clean. The light system and sound system is like best in the world. I guess this arena is one of the best in this world.

A nice stadium to match a sporting event. I came here with some friends to watch Koln Haie play the Iserlohn Roosters. As we had front row seats, were right on top of the action. The only downside was that it was impossible to see the puck when the play was up close. Other than that, the stadium was easy to navigate and easy to get to from the metro, although the stadium is really only 25 minutes walk to the old town.

Travelled all the way from Scotland to come here to see run rig with my wife and we weren't disappointed. We stayed 2 minutes along the road at the excellent Dorint Hotel , and to be honest was the easiest arena we have ever had to get to from the hotel . Thought the whole lay out of paths leading up the the arena was excellent. As for inside the set up was 10 out of 10 with food and drink outlets which were easily assesible whilst the concert was going on . The staff were really friendly and helpful. Probably one of the best Arena's I have ever visited. The crowd's noise inside was excellent coming from all around the stands. Also suprised of how well supported Run rig were by the German people which made my wife and myself very very proud . Well done all involved in the design and on the running of events here . 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

Just watched Toruk the first flight last weekend and it was such a great experience! There plenty of toilet and foodstall and easy to navigate around. The food cost the same price as cinema. Super easy to access as there are train stop 2 min away.

Went to see Tool. Good viewing seats in block 625 but the sound mix was to be expected, not optimal. Getting an end of the row seat for a handicapped friend meant a constant stream of guests & security in & out. But the upper blocks mean easier /faster access to food, drinks and toilets (were clean). Will always go again!

After long (Covid) break we visited this event hall. This was our freedom day event. Very good organization, friendly staff. Looking forward to Udo Lindenberg in June

Security was a bit lacklustre, didn't feel like it was 100%. Food and drink inside was delicious, but no still water. Only sparkling drinks. The arena itself is amazing and the atmosphere is incredible. Stadium is clean and very spacious. Every seat has a good view.

Was there for a show, had fairly high seats which were okay. Problem was, that there was no screen so we had a hard time seeing the people on stage. Had to guess who's on there and when filming we had a better view of the stage than with our eyes. Also the food and drinks were very pricey so consider eating before going there if you don't want to pay too much for food. Still the sound was very nice and clear so that's a thumbs up. Also getting there is pretty easy and hard to miss. Even though we couldn't see as much as we'd like to, it was a good night and enjoyable. Just not a 5 star experience.

Came here from Manchester UK and watched Cologne sharks play. Wow. Although they didn't win they didn't dissapoint. What an opening. Impressive stadium. Lovely staff and the cleanest toilets I've ever been to in public. The toilet attendants were lovely, the one who found my sun glasses in particular, ❤️ will defo make the trip again in the future..... Go sharks!!!

Great place, sound is good, and the view over the stage as well. There is a big and cheap parking nearby, with easy access to the arena.

Even during the Covid-19 pandemic this arena is handling itself perfectly. Making sure everyone still has a good time while following the rules. It's a nice place to go with very nice staff. Drinks are good here too and I love the option to order your drinks online using a QR code. I recommend this place for events if you really want to go to one.

I have been to the Lanxess Arena on several occasion and this place is a great accommodation for a variety of shows and concerts. This is due to the accesibility, comfort and central location in Europe. I live in The Netherlands, so I only have tot drive around 1 hour to get there. It is not too tiring to reach Cologne and I can opt for a hotel in the city if needed. The first event I visited in Cologne was ESL one Cologne (later IEM Cologne) and the atmosphere surrounding the arena, but also inside was electrifying. The seats were nice and had cup holders. It is also quite easy to re-enter the facility. I also went to the Lanxess for a concert and this place was a great venue for a metal concert. I can only imagine that other types of concerts are as great as the one I witnessed. Parking was a breeze for us. We did arrive way on time, but leaving the Lanxess was ok as well. The only point of critique is the cost of refreshments. These are quite pricey. All and all is the Lanxess Arena a great host to many wonderful events throughout the year. A wide range of organised spectacles take place around the year with the help of the fine accommodation provided by the Arena.
