👍👍 Weirdest coffee shop ever. It's is literally Grandma's coffee. Outside seating is wheelchairs, inside is Christmas trees and old lady tat. But the coffee was great and the food looked amazing. People often mention breakfast, coffee, friendly, staff, nice, great, good, delicious, English, recommend,

I had a delicious German breakfast here and loved it! The lady working there was also very friendly and polite and she spoke some English which was very helpful. We enjoyed our meals and will visit again next time we come from Australia. Thank you!

Open earlier than most places in the area on a Sunday morning. Good traditional German breakfast. Everything was being made up fresh. Relaxed environment, nice staff and good coffee.

Oma Janßen saved our morning with her breakfast. The ordering and paying system is super easy. You pay after you are done with your food and the staff is also super nice to international customers ordering in English. We felt so welcomed here and really recommend it if you are up for a cosy, nice breakfast. 5*

The owners are the cutest and loveliest people ever, so sweet and patient, the food was really good and you feel so comfortable just being there!

Its the only place in the area that has breakfast early in the morning. The service is very nice and always with a smile. The food is basic , but good. Pastry wasn't the best and desert was fine.

Fantastic four-egg breakfast and good coffee, reasonable prices. Service can be a little slow during busy hours but it's only because they take their time making sure the quality is not compromised. Only downside is that there is no bathroom on the premises so you need to adapt to that (one option is to hit the hotel across the street).

Food was good. We couldn't pay by card and there were no toilets.

When you're visiting Köln, we can recommend Oma Janssen. They offer a wide range of great food, and prepared with love. They are also known for serving a high quality coffee. So if you are a coffee drinker, stop over for a morning coffee or an afternoon coffee with some sweet pastry. Personnel is friendly and service-minded.

Great place for a quick bite. I would recommend their scrambled egg. The owner is such a lovely person who by the way speaks English as well. Beautiful location.

Nice place, nice food, nice people! I will definitely recommend it to everyone like me who is bored by hotel's identical breakfast and likes wandering around in the morning.

Stopped in for breakfast based on reviews. This place could have had the best food in town but we left. Nothing is straight forward and the patrons are rude. Some kids came in and pushed their way in front of us in line. It was chaos. It is clearly a place for locals not tourists. Sorry Oma, we're out.

This is the best place to have breakfast, a snack, or just coffee. The owner is such a warm and friendly person and the Cafe feels like an Oma's kitchen. The gentleman is also very warm and friendly. I would give more stars if I could :)

Stumbled upon this gem on our trip to Polish borders. We had a fantastic selection of cold cuts with freshly baked bread, superb cappuccino and freshly squeezed orange juice. We were super full but couldn't resist trying the absolute locals favourite, the raw pork mince sandwich called Mettbröthchen - which the super charming owner has prepped freshly just moments earlier. Highly recommend if you want to have a memorable breakfast experience in this beautiful city, which you will talk about years later. Danke Schön 🙏

Tiny, but cozy and nice local place where you could grab some local sandwich (eg with schnitzel) or some sweet stuff, have a coffee. You can see food being prepared and staff is quite helpful. The downsides are absence of English menu as well as possibility to pay only by cash.

In the Alt Market it is the best place for breakfast, as others have said it is quirky with wheelchairs and walking frames outside, the staff are lovely, reasonable prices, a nice selection of pastries and cakes

The owner was extremely helpful in getting us a delicious breakfast! This place is in a wonderful location and serves great food. We had four over easy eggs on fried ham and toast. Yum!

A place with so much character! The variety of sandwiches and baked goods was so appetizing I decided against taking the breakfast option. A sandwich and an amazing donut cost me 5 euros, were in great quality and sooo delicious. The staff was very friendly and nice and made an effort to speak English for the English speakers. There's a great environment inside, feels like a breakfast in a cabin. Loved it!
