Too pricy for what they are offering.3-4 years back this place was more informative/learning fun for kids and adults alike. But now it is only fit for little kids. This place has Lego rooms, Boardgame rooms, outdoor Spielplatz with water which can be played free of cost in Bibliothek or Park. The rest of the place is filled with 3D paintings, which was a disappointment. The only fun/Informative room was Museum mit der Maus and Glow in the dark room. There was no Jungle Fun on the day we went 11.06.2021, and no other activity was there to compensate that loss. In other words too expensive for what they are offering. Going to park would be more fun.

Oh dear - believe the bad reviews! The Odysseum is shockingly overpriced and lazily executed. As others have commented, many of the exhibits are broken or unusable (the various high tech exibits and games were a dead loss, most of them completely unresponsive). Many of the zones comprise activities you'd expect to be able to do for free at a library or community centre, like playing a board game or playing with Lego. Our 3 and 6 year old did enjoy Smurf World, and the section where you coloured in sea creatures which you could then scan in to a big screen underwater display. However, we struggled to fill our 90 minute time slot, and as adults were bored stiff for most of the visit. In fairness, the Museum of the Mouse looked as though it might have been fun for older children who could read German. Otherwise, the Odysseum lacks any educational value, and has limited entertainment value.

We visited the Harry Potter exhibition in December 2023. Bought the tickets already in September to secure a spot in the afternoon. Parking in the underground space is comfortable (if you use easyPark app, you can enter and exit by having your license plate scanned). You find lockers before the entrance to the exhibition upstairs (save a 2 Euro piece as deposit). For the special exhibitions prices are usually steep - same for HP experience. If you take your time for each of the rooms, yoz can make the stay worthwhile. Still, it is pricy for approx 1h of entertainment. I would have expected a bit more reenactment from the hosts, but they presented the rooms nicely. The cool thing is that ypu receive an interactive wand at the entrance and you can activate exhibits in the show. Again, i would have loved to have some personalisation, i.e, that you make decisions that decide on which side you end up... My favorite was the Room of Requirements, my low the Knight Bus. There are some very nice surprises at the entrance and during the show, I would recommend it.

(Translated by Google) Zeitgeist architecture that already looks totally old-fashioned. Madonna built over in the rubble and thus destroyed. Who comes up with an idea like this - and who then orders something like that ?! Hopefully the chapel will be uncovered at some point - when this building here has finally proven its uselessness.

You need to see it for yourself! Excellent experience, space to walk around and interact with dinosaurs whilst informational. There is a cafe onsite offering refreshments and food. Won't be posting many photos of this one as you need to experience the joy and feel the rawr whilst transformed into the park. There is an option to have pictures taken with a green screen which can be bought afterwards.

Went to see Jurassic world exhibition. My kids were really enjoyed, and excited to see dinos. The music, sounds, environment, dinos made you like in a real Jurassic world.

Excellent, interactive science museum with various themes and lots of hands on stuff to do and some 3D cinema/live shows. Sometimes they have special exhibitions. Plenty to keep all the family interested although very young kids might bore easily. You need a certain level of German as not all of it is available in English. Loses a star for the restaurant that was quite poor and very pricy.

The Jurassic World exhibition was amazing. A little bit too many people and the place is not so big, so to go with a baby is not so good. But the work team was amazing, very funny and nice.

The tickets are sold out and it is recommended to book the ticket online beforehand. We wanted to book the EdutainmentTicket but it was sold out for a whole week. Finally we could only book the KennenlernTicket which is only 90 minutes. Normally, you should be a whole day here because there are so many things to see, to do for children and they all need time to explore.

As an adult visiting alone couldn't get pretty much anything out of it and I was refused a refund. I'm sure it's a great for a child as all the exhibition are extremely interactive and educative. The place is quite expensive, too.

(Translated by Google) The Kolumba is an extraordinary museum in an extraordinary building. I visited it for the first time for the performance of "Dark Red" by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker (ends on 09/20/2020). That was the fantastic staging of an overall concept through the whole house. Definitely worth a visit and I'll be back! (Translated by Google) An architecturally interesting building, but that's about it. The exhibits are poor, in some cases poorly explained and not exactly combined in an accessible manner. From a museum education point of view there is still room for improvement!

#Amazing #children #knowledge #playground #activities for kids. It was again a great trip. A lot of stuff to learn for kids and adults as well. Playground outside is lovely made including the pirate ship. A climbing garden inside is also great fun! So if you are next to Cologne with you school kids, make a trip to Odysseum! Meet the famous WDR Mouse (orange) , Elephant (blue) and the Duck (yellow)!!! Children can paint on a lighttable or there are some computers to do a stop motion video from the three animals and further more.

A good place for young kids in Cologne (a city that doesn’t have much for kids to do), though it’s overpriced. My kids were 2 and 5 and we spent 5 hours there and they still did not wanna leave. We went there on Thursday and it was very empty. (Remember to check opening time because they open not often. And we bought tickets online one day ago and their ticketing system was crab.) There were many toys and even VR games for free. However, with this price, surprisingly there were not that many high tech interactive games (some were even out of order), only 3 small size exhibition/interactive game halls (Jungle, Smurf, the Mouse). Other then that there were 1 inland skating hall, which I don’t understand why they offer this, and 2 halls full of branded toys and board games and books (Yes, we paid that much to play toys and games -.- ). Very few staff there so we could hardly ask when we did not know how the games work. We didn’t go to the outdoor playground because it was completely exposed to the sun and it was very hot. At 4pm we went to the cafe at the entrance area, but they sold only chocolate bars, muffins, brezels and drinks. So I recommend to bring your own food.

Harry potter exhibition was good fun. Parking should be listed on Google maps. It has it's own parking and it's easy to access however we did not know this until we were approaching the museum. Nice facility and toilets in the parking area too.

(Translated by Google) The fact that we overlooked the fact that all the exhibition rooms are closed is one thing ... But that the so-called adventure construction site (or how it scolds itself) consists of sticking nails into boards or laying paving stones next to each other, for 40 euros having to pay, THAT is a cheek. It may be that there are children for whom it is a highlight to knock aerated concrete blocks with a hammer and this is an unforgettable moment for them. For our children from more rural areas, the matter was over after 5 minutes. Seriously: do something more meaningful with your children. A walk in the forest z. B. Or build a hut in the garden. Or read a good book ... Ernsthaft: Macht mit euren Kindern was sinnvolleres. Ein Spaziergang im Wald z. B. Oder ne Hütte im Garten bauen. Oder ein gutes Buch lesen...

But the outdoor construction site, the PawPatrol exhibition and the water garden for our little one were fantastic. Only the admission price is a bit high due to the current situation. But on the other hand, the Odysseum must and should survive so that everything can be visited again in the future. Each exhibition is carefully curated and you can tell in each room how much love and enthusiasm went into the design, hanging and arrangement. Here, they really know how to make full use of the building, which is already architecturally great, in order to ideally stage each exhibit. Always worth a visit! (Original) Großartiges Museum. There are limited activity places to take small kids in Cologne, so the Odysseum is somewhat of a blessing. However, unless you plan your trip right, it will be very crowded and not worth taking any children below the age of 5. We have a 2yr old which we took before 11am. It was pretty quiet when we arrived on a Saturday at that time, yet the Dino jungle was still pretty full. In reality, much of the Odysseum isn't suitable for kids under 5, yet for some kids, simply being outside the house and in an interesting new place which new things to discover, is still a good time. The best parts for small kids as the UV play room, the create your own fish area and the building blocks area. I think it was approximately 2 hrs worth of play for our 2yr old. By the time we left, there were large queues and it was getting very busy. Highly recommend for parent with kids over 5

Brilliant concept but poorly executed. Not enough guidance on each section on how it works. Loads of bits not working. Requires a level of German that we did not possess, especially the Museum mit day Maus. Glad we only paid for 1.5 hours rather than full day. Kids (11 and 13) had fun but definitely designed for younger kids maybe 5-10.

We saw the dinosaurs there and it was amazing. The experience was full of major attractions. The only drawback is that there are little to non minor attractions what gives you the feeling that it's relatively small. If you don't have kids don't go early in the day. It's flooded with kids and you feel very awkward. In the evening is much better.

Totally disappointed of Jurassic World Exhibition. Super expensive for what it has to offer. I offer one star just for the tehnic (which is impressive). - Really small price reduction for kids. And price is anyway high. - At the beginning the way leads automatically through a photoshoot and in the end if you want the photo it costs 15eur/photo. - The exhibition is split into several parts but you are not allowed to enter the next part without invitation from a ranger, so you wait with the group for several minutes each time. Felt like more waiting than enjoying. - More talking (explanations from rangers) and waiting (to enter) than actually seeing and experiencing. - Definetely not for small kids. My daughter is 5 and she was mostly scared as well as most kids in the group. - Rangers want to be funny but the storyline and way of presenting I find very inadequate for small kids. - Really, really loud. - The whole thing doesn’t actually last long, if it wasn’t for the talking from the rangers. - Kids are not even allowed to drink water during the exhibition, which I find unacceptable. They could at least allow in some hallways while you anyway wait for some good minutes to be allowed to move further (and there are no decorations to be damaged). - Of course it ends directly in the souvenir shop where the prices are super high.

So nice place if you have a child around 7-12 years old. Otherwise this place is not very interesting for older people. When they name the place as "science museum" and you are expecting something really advanced but it is just for children.

My 5 years old and I had a great time at the museum. We were on a short visit in Cologne and we visited twice the museum. Children and adults learn by exploring and participating and not only by passive walk through. Please always read the explanation on the side of the attraction, it could make a big difference and give a lot of knowledge. Not too big and not too small. A perfect size to keep a child and an adult entertained for a few hours. It is a pity there are no other museums in other cities like this one.

(Translated by Google) I can agree with the last review. The Odysseum has a lot more to offer, but the hands-on construction site is a nice idea. I consider the admission price of almost 10 euros for adults to be too high due to the fact that almost everything is locked and you are therefore only acting as an accompanying person.

(Translated by Google) Nice idea with the construction site outdoors in the Covid period, but only implemented in a mediocre way. 30 € + 5 € parking for 2-3 hours for three is too much of a good thing. (Translated by Google) Based on the information on the website, it was unfortunately not immediately clear to us that the interior areas are currently closed. The dino theme is so present that one assumes that this topic area can also be visited at the moment. The outdoor areas with construction site and water playground are beautifully designed and invite you to participate. You can definitely spend the time slot of 3 hours with it. For using "only" playgrounds, the admission price of 10 € from 4 years is in my opinion too high. The Odysseum is certainly an exciting and educational museum for children. If the Corona madness is exhausted and everything is running normally again, we will definitely come back ?

This is a good way to spend half a day as a family. The Sendung mit der Maus area has many different educational exhibits, including an area where you can make your own stop motion animation mini films. Although my daughter's favorite is the indoor ropes course that goes across overtop of the other exhibits. Then there are two other large rooms with interactive exhibits related to the earth and science. All exhibits have descriptions in German and English. There is also another room with temporary exhibits. You could spend the whole day here, or see most of it in half a day.

The Jurtasic World Exhibition was awesome. If you go there with the mindset of wanting to feel like a child and ready to suspense all you know about the real world as an adult, you will enjoy it. 😊 We went as 40ies there and we have had a great day. The staff is friendly and overall things seemed to run smoothly. The only setback was the restaurant area. They were terribly understaffed. We were second in line and 30 minutes ahead of our time slot. But when we just had 10 minutes left until entry and our order still hadn't been even taken (the cashier had to prepare the food in the kitchen), we decided to pass on the opportunity. Though not of free will, we had originally planned this to be an adventure day with dino chicken nuggets or dino burger. Well, this did not happen. But as I said, the rest was fine. 4 stars from us. Greetings from Germany, Michael.
